Joybird has gone to crap. I haven't had our Elliot Grand sofa for a year yet...this sofa was a replacement for a previous one that buckled in the middle. On 2 of the cushions, threads around the tufting have broken...they won't replace them because we got the original over a year ago but the replacement we've only had about 9mo. So this sofa didn't even last a full year before we started having issues...They used to be a great company until La-Z-Boy bought them out and now they're poorly made and their customer service has gone down the toilet. Just trust me..stay away...get a sofa from Article...same style and better quality by far! read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Joybird San Francisco showroom. They didn't have the exact item I was interested in purchasing, but I was able to try out similar sofas to get a feel for the products. Even though all the reviews online said the couches were comfortable, I was still surprised at just how comfy they were! I'm really happy I got to see the fabrics in person. I had several in mind, but when I saw them in person I knew immediately which one I wanted. Haven Silva helped me with my order. She was so kind, answered all my questions, and wasn't bothered at all when I wanted to try the sleeper sofa (which was surprisingly comfortable!). They took our money, insisted on an inconvenient delivery window outside our direct choosing, and when we rearranged our work schedules to accommodate delivery, they completely ghosted us. The delivery window was today between 2-5pm. We started calling a little after 5pm with no picks ups on the number provided and no responses to our messages. When we called the showroom they said "we're closing soon" and offered no help other than a phone number for the delivery service which they said was entirely out of the company's control. The delivery service didn't pick up or respond to text messages. We don't buy couches often. We're not wealthy. Joybird has taken thousands of dollars from us and has provided abysmal customer service in response. Won't ever do business with this company again. read more

My wife and I have been looking for a convertible sofa bed for one of our bedrooms, and we called ahead at this Joybird store to see if they had the model we wanted and the fabric. Joybird's design consultant Lino took my wife's call, and when we visited the store a couple days later, she remembered us and our requests! Lino made it super easy to go through the various fabrics and gave us the space and room to try the sofa beds out and see what worked best for our own home. The Hughes apartment sofa design caught my eye as well as other items. Jilliian introduced herself and explained how fabric selection works. She had a growing crowd coming in as it was a weekend and the holiday sale was underway. Regardless she gave me her full attention and was thorough, honest and direct with the nuances of the fabric. I left with samples and more direction. I looked online at other options and found Joybird's price point and style competitive. And pleased it wasn't coming from the PRC. I returned that Monday and only waited a bit for her to become available. I had settled on a sofa color already but for the accent chairs not so much. We were in San Francisco for one week only and found out there was a Joybird store there! I have ALWAYS wanted a Joybird couch but was hesitant to buy without trying it. We swung in, tested out several couches and fabrics, and fell in love with a sectional in the royale forest velvet! They were running an awesome 30% off sale in store, so we grabbed it! The purchase took 5 minutes, and Haven (the woman who helped us) was incredibly helpful in walking us through everything! We were in and out in 20 minutes, and our new couch will arrive in 4-8 weeks. Recently came into the showroom to view the Holt collection in person, to my surprise it was actually way deeper than what I was expecting. My design consultant, Haven, was kind enough to introduce me to the Holt Petite collection which gave me the shallower seat I wanted. Most of the things Haven had showed me, I hadn't even found myself when i was searching online! There were much more options than I had expected but, Haven was very knowledgeable and worked with me until we were able to find what I was looking for. Would give less stars if the sofa hadn't arrived more than a month earlier than their estimated delivery date. Our new Lewis sectional in royale hacienda arrived a few weeks ago and it smells horrendous, like puke. It's gorgeous and soft, but I'm worried about the smell of chemicals permeating from it. I had a custom sofa made back in 2006 and bought a new one in 2020, and I have never experienced this gross phenomenon of new couch smell that other people seem to be privy to, until now. I was told that it's normal with "off-gassing" from sofas treated with flame retardants, but seriously? My eyes, throat, and nose have been irritated since the sofa arrived. It could be seasonal allergies but seems suspicious that this started the day the sofa arrived. If you're sensitive to smells and chemicals like me, you might want to steer clear of Joybird. read more

A few years ago we bought the Lewis Sectional with Fabric Cordova Amber: Overall I've been disappointed with the craftsmanship- I've never paid this much for a couch though it doesn't have the perks cheaper couches have with non slip cushion features (either Velcro or attachment clips) so bottom cushions don't slide with use. Every day I have to readjust the seat cushion shoving it to the back. Soooo annoying. I love the fabric and color- and the mid century style of it. But the cushions aren't very comfortable and I have to adjust and move constantly to put back in position. Not sure why at this price point it wouldn't include simple clips to maintain cushions in place? Won't buy from Joybird in the future. read more

We were at the Joybird showroom in SF this weekend and couldn't have been happier with both the furniture and the level of service and attention we received from Haven. We were interested in the Briar sleeper sofa, which they had in the showroom, and were able to try it out both as sofa and as a sofa bed. Haven was super helpful in showing us how to set it up then giving us the time and space to try it out, discuss, and make a decision. They also had the fabrics in very large sample size in the showroom, which made it so much easier to choose one. Haven was very attentive through out the process and her advice on the fabric and what to consider was extremely valuable. We feel very confident in our decision to buy the Briar sleeper sofa because of her. While we were there we also ended up getting 2 mid-century chairs and Haven helped us figure out how to optimize the shipping and delivery, since we need to couch sooner than the chairs. I ordered a chair May 20th. They IMMEDIATELY charged me FULL price. It was supposed to be delivered by June 26th. Then, they changed it to July 11th-17th. Then less than a week ago, they told me it had shipped and would be delivered July 5th-8th. Today, on July 2nd, they now say it will be delivered July12-18th. They've had my money for 1 1/2 months and all I get are constantly changing delivery dates and aggravation. They think sending out these ridiculous "touchy feely" emails about how they're "gathering and inspecting the materials" and "crafting the furniture" makes up for the aggravation. Nope. Not gonna buy from them again. If I knew then (May 20th) what I know now, I would have bought the chair elsewhere. read more

I also didn't know if I wanted to go with Joybird, but Lino was really helpful in walking me through the different considerations, such as style of couch (sectional or sofa), seating depth, aging of the sofa cushions, and how it worked with my space (size and color), as well as the warranty policy.
