Love this place -- I always find amazing pieces. However, the lady at the front is one of the rudest salespeople I've ever encountered. I asked her about a table that didn't have a barcode, and she replied irritably that it hadn't been processed yet. When I asked a few more questions about the furniture, she became even more annoyed. This is not the first or second time she has been rude. She's just always fiddling with her long fingernails and never looks up. If you don't like your job, then find another one. This has happened multiple times. To the business owner: you have a great warehouse, but the customer service experience is awful because of this employee. At least the man working on the floor is very helpful and accommodating. read more

Update - This continues to be a nightmare. After a week of negotiation between reperch and chairish - during which I repeatedly asked to have this relatively small item (a corner of a sectional that reperch and chairish failed to deliver) boxed up and shipped by UPS freight - I agreed to pay $250 more to have reperch ship it here. They arranged shipping and promised to have the item here by the end of June. I just spoke to the shipper they hired, who could not even find the shipment on his inventory and then vaguely promised to deliver in mid-July This had been the single most unprofessional and disorganized mess of a customer experience I can remember over the last decade. read more

If you are looking to buy Reperch carries a wide range of cost options from "new" entry level furniture, to reduced price used luxury brands, with some collectible vintage pieces mixed in for good measure. The building is massive for browsing. The team members are exceptionally helpful and the store has good arrangements with local delivery services. I went to Reperch to buy a sofa I saw online and was so confused and frustrated with the shopping experience that I left empty handed. Upon walking in, I noticed the place looked like a warehouse and saw a lady sitting at a desk, playing on her laptop. She didn't bother to look up or greet us in any way so I wasn't sure if she was customer service or if I was even in a store. My boyfriend and I both wondered, out loud, if we accidentally wandered into the warehouse rather than the store. We almost left but then saw a room to our left that was filled with sofas so went in to look for the sofa I saw online. The room had a center aisle to walk down with furniture crammed in sections along the aisle.. Some sofas were unwrapped and sitting normally while others were partially wrapped in cellophane and sitting on their sides or stacked in whatever way they could fit. It was hard to see each sofa since it appeared they were being stored rather than displayed. We had to squeeze between sofas to see what little we can of each one. All the sofas had tags with numbers on them but no price. So we asked a couple next to us (the only other customers in the store) how they were able to see prices to which they told me to download an app and that the QR scan code can be found near the customer service desk. I asked the lady sitting at the customer service desk about the QR code but she doesn't look up from her computer or respond. The couch I saw online was a beautiful West Elm couch for only $180 so I figured this store runs on low prices rather than service and, undeterred, started searching for the code around her desk. I remained in an area 1-3 feet away from the customer service lady, with my cell phone camera out, looking for a QR code and she ignored me the whole time. I felt like a ghost being that close yet invisible. Another customer entered the store, leaned into where the customer service lady sat and said she needed to pick an item up. To my surprise, the customer service lady answered and asked for the customer's name, which the customer gave. She then waved at an object behind the customer and said she can go ahead and take it. "Do you need to see my ID or anything?", the customer asked. "No." the lady simply answered as the customer turned around and saw the object she was buying was located right next to her feet. "Oh, that was easy!" the customer exclaimed as she bent down and grabbed the item. Hands full and vision blocked by the item she picked up, the customer happily walked to the front door and struggled at the exit as the customer service lady went back to typing on her laptop. I stand in shock. Can anyone care less about people than this "customer service lady" did? My boyfriend breaks me from my spell by walking up to me and announcing that he still can't find the couch we saw online. He then asks if I have the app yet to which I answer that I couldn't find the paper with the code. We are both standing 2-3 feet away from the customer service lady at this time - definitely within ear shot since it was where I was standing when she spoke with the other customer and I could clearly hear everything that was said. I finally get her attention, and my boyfriend finally finds the download code (which was right next to the lady) and I'm told that the customer service lady can't tell me exactly where the couch is but can say it's in section 15. I then asked how I could identify the couch once I find section 15 (since most items are hard to see and identify) and she tells me to look for the item number. I then ask first the item number which she gives me as well. The customer service lady wasn't rude and answered questions but she really gave the bare minimum and immediately returned to whatever she was doing on her computer. So, my boyfriend and I return to looking for the couch. Once we find it, we see it's one of the unwrapped couches and that it's dirty and stained. We both imagined it was from people rubbing up against it as they navigated between sofas. The sofa also did NOT look like the photis and the color was way dingier than the photos. Dismayed by how ugly the couch was in real life and the lack of service, I wanted to leave but m y boyfriend REALLY wanted to buy a couch the same day, so he insisted we look around the store more and get something else. But the app didn't work well. We were only able to get a few items to display (most items wouldn't finish loading up or weren't in the system yet). One item showed a pic of an end table rather than the couch the item number was posted on. The prices of the couches that we pulled up on the app ranged from $600 to $1,750. Honestly, I don't think prices were low enough to be worth the hassle but if you want to try shopping here anyway, I hope this review helps you understand how this store works and saves you the struggle of hassling with customer service. After many visits to their SF showroom and multiple purchases from a really large piece of art, lamp, mirror, and a lifefitness rower, all large items delivered by them to my apartment; I can say this is a great place to check out if you're looking for unique furniture for your home or office. The local showroom is expansive, they have a cool system to look up information on each piece, and your can negotiate a lower price on some items. I recommend them to coworkers and friends that have recently moved to the area, there's also an online portal with lots of inventory items up for sell. This business is awful. I had two horrible experiences in one week. First, I expressed interest in a couch and booked a viewing. They sold said couch the morning of my viewing and didn't even inform me of the sale. I drove over an hour in the rain to their "couch warehouse", where I'm told "oh, we sold that." Lovely! I was of course livid and they gave me 20% off my next purchase as a sorry. I give them another chance and buy two art pieces online and schedule myself to pick them up a few days later. I drive another 20 minutes to pick these up, and THEY SOLD ONE of them AFTER I purchased it online. This company has no clue how to keep track of their inventory. The Local Flea is UNBELIEVABLE! We came across them after reading an article at SFGate and went and checked out their online catalog. Immediately found a large framed painting and ordered it for delivery. Just the frame was worth more than they were charging for it. They got back to us immediately and set up a delivery time. In the meantime, we looked around some more and came across a beautiful 55" round granite table. We wrote them immediately and asked if it would be possible to get it delivered at the same time as the painting. They agreed and, despite the table being huge and weighing a ton (almost literally), they didn't charge more for the delivery. When the delivery arrived, on-time, the granite pedestal for the table was damaged and taped together. It would take some work, but it was fixable, so we accepted delivery since the table was so beautiful and a steal at the price. It did appear to us that the damage was probably caused by the delivery company. We wrote to The Local Flea and explained the problem and sent photos of the damage. They got back to us immediately and offered an extremely generous adjustment. They are obviously willing to go well above and beyond to make the customer happy. We were able to get the table repaired and it is beyond beautiful. The Local Flea is an honest, reputable, and customer-oriented business that we look forward to purchasing from again. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Tons of high quality merchandise at rock bottom prices and the best customer service we have found anywhere. Do yourself a favor and check them out. read more

What a great store! My roommate and I went here to get a couch for our new apartment. We unfortunately couldn't find anything in the store, but the employees were super helpful and told us they had a sofa warehouse 10 minutes away! We made an appointment on the website to go to the warehouse the weekend after! They have over 100 sofas at the warehouse that you can try out! They also have a website with all of them listed so you can see what's at the warehouse in advance. We picked this amazing sofa and it was such a great price! I purchased a coffee table and LARGE living room sectional which was $180 retail 2k, i put a bid online and they accepted it and i was shocked. i had to have them deliver it as it was a huge couch. The delivery guys were super friendly, did a good job maneuvering that thing. I've really enjoyed doing business with the Local Flea over the last 2.5 years. Today I made a visit to the new 17th street location to buy an office chair. Several issues. First, inventory tablets were not available for pricing. However, after finding a chair, the system was not working unless it was a cash transaction. No problem, it was early in the day, I left my email address for the attendant to reach out when the system was available. 30min from closing I still had not received an email, so I stopped in. The system was up and running, however the attendant had more pressing matters to attend. I had also brought in a rug that I was hoping to consign. I was told that there were no drop offs, that all furniture had to be picked up through delivery service. Oh, I could also pay for the chair, and have it dropped off through delivery. The Local Flea is in partnership with Remoov It service. Which costs more than the furniture. Or rug. When I told the attendant that I would not submit a rug for consignment through pick up, she told me that it's unfortunately, but that's the way they do business. I agree, that is unfortunate. I've both purchased and consigned a significant amount of furniture through The Local Flea. But that's no longer the way I do business. read more

This place is pretty awesome- I love that they're contributing to a more circular economy at good prices. Some of the pieces could use a good cleaning- there was a nice couch that could've used a steam clean, a credenza that really just needed a good wipe down- but maybe the expectation is that this stuff is so inexpensive that you should do that yourself? They sold me an elliptical that is missing the base of the platform without informing me that its missing a major part that holds to foot pedals. Its unusable and definitely unsafe to use. They delivered it to me like this, it is basically trash and now they refuse to come and pick it up to take it back. I don't have a truck or two people to lift and carry this there. LIARS - updated june 16 - LUIS P. IS LYING in his response to me and i have proof 1. They did not offer to find me replacement parts (attached a photo of their message as evidence) 2. They did not "disclose all the information about the condition" there were just photos of the product and no text explaining that this part was missing. It is impossible to tell from the photos and I bet that even the builders of this elliptical wouldn't be able to tell from the photos, not to mention that there was no close up photo of the missing part area 3. 62$ is too much for this item because of this missing part it is actually trash and should not be sold at all. read more

Great selection, online shopping is convenient, found some nice workable pieces at the price we wanted to pay. Pickup is in a tight alley in back, which can be very inconvenient when you don't have half an hour to wait for another party to finish loading. Some area of the warehouse have no WiFi signal, so the tablet they give you to shop with can be useless at times. Some fun pieces to be found, lots of them are fairly priced and in pretty good shape. I'm a used furniture thrift repurposed kinda guy and this place is Heaven!! If you are looking for great finds and don't want to hassle with hunting around for them, then this is your "one stop" shop. I always underestimate my shopability skills and end up stuffing my truck to the brim. So bring a oversized moving truck and be prepared for some amazing discoveries. I have never been to the other warehouse that they have for fear I'd love it and have no room for it. We drive from Bakersfield to explore all the finds at the Local Flea. If you live in the area you are lucky. If you're from out of town the money you spend on gas will be more than covered with the cost savings on everything. This was easy...the warehouse is large and has a wide variety of chairs, desks, lamps, tables. Sitting in a chair or seeing a lamp before I buy it is important to me, and Reperch makes it easy. You get a tablet from the reception desk, and every item has a bar code you scan for price and measurements, so you don't have to bring a tape measure, wonder about prices or ask a salesperson for numbers. I found reperch (formerly the Flea, I guess) when researching a. particular rug I was looking for. The carpet I wanted was on there site and I emailed customer service to see if the rug was in the SF 17th street warehouse. I was told it was but the customer service person referenced the wrong rug.I decided to go in anyway as I live close by. The following is what happened upon arrival and I wrote customer service and received no reply. I went to your warehouse and did find the carpet but was told by the clerk that she could not roll out the carpet so that I could see the condition. She stated that the picture of the rug was on line, but that. Is the Lulu and Georgia sites picture and I told her it did not show the condition of this carpet. She then said I had 7 says to return it if I was unhappy with it, but I do not want to pay for a delivery and then a return for an item if there is any problem. What is the. providence of the carpet, is it a private home seller, or store, has it been cleaned etc. I resent making the effort to come to the store to look at a product and not have full access to it to ascertain the condition before purchasing a used Item. You have lost a sale because of this incident LEWIS P. I take issue with your statement " That is a reason why we take as accurate photos as possible of the items" because you did not show an accurate picture of the actual carpet you were selling. selling but a picture from the actual Lulu and Georgia website showing a brand new carpet. read more

I recently found this business after my visit to Salvation Army on Mission Rd. I needed living room sofa, coffee table and TV Stand. I am amazed at amount of used items in their warehouse and was able to find a sofa and coffee table and 2 days later it was delivered. Very interesting take on thrifting. My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and we were somewhat confused because you enter the front door, walk pass the office space, and go straight into the warehouse. For a split second I felt like I was trespassing but if anyone asked I would've just said I followed the signs. We were greeted once we got to the warehouse and the person was very friendly. Gave us a quick run down on how it worked here and we were off on our own to look at everything and anything.
