I had a good experience with Mancini's years ago and decided to give the Potrero Hill location a call. I was lucky enough to get Gray Hveem on the phone that day, and I immediately could sense that I was communicating with the professional who would help me. We went over what I needed-a platform frame and a good quality, medium firm twin mattress that didn't stink and would serve as a small extra sleeping space in my attic bedroom. Gray gave me so much detail and a good price- threw in a few little perks, confirmed it would be delivered on Saturday -and we made a deal. I ended up buying the green avocado hybrid. The mattress WAS delivered on Saturday, and set up just as promised, and it was the perfect most comfortable bed for my guest. My challenging situation was solved by my interaction with the professional Gray Hveem working at Mancini's Sleep World Potrero Hill!

Next day, I jumped online to purchase the 11.5" Firm Queen Saatva Classic using the Wirecutter sale, clicked purchase, and the sale disappeared - yikes! Called customer service and they honored the sale price immediately and with pleasure - yay! Mattress arrived two-ish weeks later - delivery process was seamless - and wow was it firmer than I remembered! The literature says to give it a few weeks. I gave it six weeks and decided to exchange. Headed back to the Union Square showroom and met Sirius at the front desk. He is amazing - siriusly amazing! - and such an asset to the company. Sirius helped me figure out the mattress I liked in store was the Classic Firm 14.5", not the 11.5" - totally my bad. Sirius then explained the difference between the two and went way above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable with my exchange. Yes, Saatva is a solid company based on my experience, from a terrific showroom to no hard sales tactics to helpful customer service to communicative and efficient delivery, but what brought me to Yelp is Sirius. This guy seriously likes people and is seriously knowledgeable about mattresses and toppers and pads and sheets and he seriously likes his job and he seriously likes the company. A company that has a very strict lifetime warranty policy. So I decided since If I was investing so much money I would read their lifetime warranty and what stipulations they had to any problems I might come across. When reading the lifetime warranty, it said the bed frame slats had to be no more than 4 inches apart. Your foundation or bunky board had to cover the bedframe perfectly. All these were stipulations if I had a problem with my mattress they could argue against not giving me a new mattress because I did not follow the conditions of the lifetime warranty. Since Amazon's Bunky board ($90 INVESTMENT) did not fully cover my queen size bedframe. I bought SAATVA foundation and bedframe ($500 INVESTMENT). Another issue I had was white glove delivery. I wanted that. I'm paying almost $3000. You're telling me I'm getting top of the line customer service with a white glove delivery. That's exactly what I want. It's part of paying top dollar getting those special perks. Well, that didn't happen. I received a message from Saatva that my mattress was now being CONSTRUCTED, MADE TO ORDER AS PROMISED. That didn't happen on my receipt it says my mattress is "ON HAND". I received a message from Justo Blanket Wrap Delivery Services Inc leaving me a voicemail. They had my name, obviously my telephone number, but I could not understand the message as it was interpreted as broken English, but since they had my name and telephone number, I decide to call to find out who they were. Apparently, they are my mattress company, I never would've guessed from the name of the company. When I called you think they would've identified themselves....Hello this is JUSTO...we are with the Saatva mattresses company the ones who made your mattress and we'd like to deliver your mattress...nope apparently they had said it in an email that I had not yet read, but they were very unprofessional. Getting upset with me questioning why they were calling me. They kind of had the attitude oh if you don't want your mattress, then we won't deliver it... But I decide to let it go have them deliver my mattress and give them a chance to rectify the beginning of our professional relationship. when they came to deliver my mattress, there was no white gloves. I received a two hour window, 7:30AM-9:30AM but was told they would let me know when they were 30 minutes away. There was no...We'll be there in 30 minutes. At 7:30AM there was no heads up. It's was...We're around the corner. Still I was that's OK. I just want my mattress. I'm happy to get my mattress. They arrive at my door. No white gloves. I pay almost $3000 and I am promised WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY but that didn't happen. I was promised my mattress was made to order even received a message stating we are now assembling your mattress, but that didn't happen. Apparently, it was stored in a factory, made for someone else, but not as promised, not made for me, not made to order. I pay almost $500 extra for a new foundation and bedframe because of the lifetime warranty stipulations and I get a mattress that hangs over their own foundation? I could've used the bedframe I had and bought a foundation from Amazon for less than $90 instead of paying almost $500 for their foundation and bedframe. The mattress has frayed stitching, does not fit their own foundation, has a metal bump near a middle seam on the end of the mattress, might I add, the bump is facing the wall, the head of the mattress so I would not have seen it had I not inspected the mattress. Also, the mattress is not even the seams have dips, the mattress looks dirty. The mattress tag cannot be removed as it is double stitched onto the mattress itself, not just stitched in the seam of the mattress.

It is called the Halcyon and is the most comfortable mattress I could have purchased. It is really heavy, but built to last, and with a price tag to match. But now I fall asleep every night and stay asleep. I had to give myself permission to spend so much money on a mattress, but am so glad I did. I have seen reviews where people claim the mattress hurt their back. I can honestly say the complete opposite has been true for me -- my back problems that plagued me with my old mattress have completely disappeared. I sleep deeper and wake up feeling genuinely rested every single morning. What truly sets this store apart is Richard himself. This extraordinary young owner delivered parts of my mattress personally in his own car -- a level of personal service you simply don't find anywhere anymore. Years after my purchase, when I encountered an issue, Richard stepped up immediately and resolved it with grace and generosity -- no questions asked. They would not pick it up one day sooner?? If the customer wants to return the mattress on day 1 that's not gonna change on day 30. I On top of that I sign a contract that they will charge you $250 to take the mattress back. Mind you Vivian only highlights on the contract, a $99.95 processing fee and then she highlights $49.95 Service charge. I find that deceiving. That's where they make their money they get $250 for returns after they sell you a mattress that is garbage.. The lady who sold me the mattress, Vivian didn't know anything about the mattresses. Acted like she had no interest in finding me a mattress after me telling her I'm a cancer survivor and I suffer severely from the cancer treatment even though they're over and I needed a very comfortable mattress. She sold me a piece of garbage. The gentleman who is also in the store he's just an answering machine. He's of no help if you have a problem. Also not once did they mention to me that they were collecting backpacks for back to school so I could donate. I would avoid this store if at all possible. You find better mattresses on Amazon.

I ordered the "Jasper" mid-century sofa and a matching armchair from the store's catalogue, hoping to spruce up my small living room in time for a Christmas visit by family. The furniture arrived on time but had completely wrong dimensions and proportions, too deep, too tall, too high, too overstuffed, wide arms, a hulking behemoth that I couldn't even sit on instead of the sleek mid-century sofa I ordered. Richard acknowledged that the measurements were way off and agreed to redo the order. He had a loaner delivered for the meantime because I had paid for the store to recycle my old furniture when delivering the new furniture, but the loaner reeked of bug spray and I had to ask him to remove it. This left me with no living room furniture. When I pressed Richard on how he was going to fix the sofa and when the new sofa would be delivered, he said he was planning to make only minor adjustments, like trimming the pillows and shortening the legs, which would have left me with a sofa that was still nothing like the Jasper. Ultimately he agreed to refund the purchase price and the delivery charge. He did refund the purchase price, but never did refund the delivery charge and ghosted me when I followed up. On the bright side, I did get my purchase price money back and don't have to live with the ugly furniture they made for me and I had a memorable Christmas sitting with my family on folding chairs. read more

Zozi's Loft has a gianormous selection to choose from. And that was ONLY what was on their showroom floor! Zozi's Loft has many mfg.'s catalogs to peruse as well! Horrible experience with this company and the owner of the business. I bought a mattress and a bed frame a month ago and it was nothing but problems from the start. I was supposed to have my bed delivered on a certain date which never showed up and had to wait two more days to have some deliver it at 10pm. All the part were not accounted for and the bed was setup. I called the owner Richard the next day and he said he would mail me the part and I should have it in a couple of day. The part never came in the mail and I now have a broken bed because I didn't have a necessary part for the bed. I texted Richard and he hasn't responded back to me. I do not recommend this company to anyone and the quality of merchandise is crap. I had posted this review before and Richard begged me to take it down in exchange replacing the bed. I ordered 3 custom pieces from Richard and his team at Zozi's Loft. They are made in the Bay Area and we brought in a photo for a piece of what we wanted and took inspiration from the showroom for the other 2 pieces. 1 week after placing the custom order, we had them delivered to our home. This furniture is a work of art! Gorgeous and so well done! We were floored. (Forgive the pun!) I just can't express enough the value of what you are getting here. We came into Zozi's Loft with a specific need. When the movers arrived to deliver our previous couch it became very apparent it was not going to fit. We needed a smaller couch and we needed it very quickly. After visiting a few other shops we came into Zozi's Loft and Richard went above and beyond to find us what we needed and even went so far as to help us set up the delivery for us due to the fact that we didn't have a computer to schedule it. Once we found Zozi's below market, we immediately fell in love with a number of their floor models and couch options. I have been doing business with Zozi's Loft for years and I have never had a problem that Richard and his staff would not take care of. They have great furniture great prices and knowledgeable staff. Anyone who says they did not get what they wanted or nobody would help them most likely is being less than truthful. Don't give your money to a faceless corporate giant. I am super glad I found Zozi's. The staff is super friendly. I stopped by few times just because their collection is so good that it was hard to decide at first. Richard did a fantastic customer service job making sure my furniture was delivered on time for a party. Now I have a beautiful sofa, two charming chairs and a modern bedroom set. I purchased a bed and tall boy dresser from Zozi's, the pair was delivered promptly and assembled professionally by the delivery team for a reasonable cost. The service by the owner was excellent and I couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommend. read more

He forgot to order the sheets to go with the sofa, so they came 2 months late. Then the sofa had a manufacturing defect (which is fine, it happens). Eric completely blew me off and refused to investigate the problem. Finally, he ordered a warranty inspection that confirmed the problem.. now he's dragging his feet on the resolution and blaming me for emailing him. Eric will probably reply here with a long-winded explanation of how this is all my fault, somehow. I just want a working sofa, especially for the price tag. Wish I had read Yelp before coming here.

I needed a particular size and I wanted something comfy, modern or mid-century modern style, and the color blue. I searched everywhere and found it here, reasonably priced. The owner was friendly and very helpful. She let me borrow a tape measure while I browsed the showroom. Told me to take my time and let her know if I had any questions. The showroom is crowded because they have a HUGE selection of sofas. They have a second floor with other furniture that I quickly browsed...it also is crowded. I don't mind it being crowded because at least that means they have a huge inventory. Delivery was free/included in the price. My sofa was delivered in a box and the two delivery men quickly assembled it for me. Be sure to tip! Especially since the delivery and assembly is free!

My favorite set of high back chairs was incredibly overpriced but they had plenty of others (like the green) at reasonable prices, especially as most of the items here are good quality. I don't think I would come here for wall art specifically as I didn't find a single piece I liked but there was some really nice furniture, decor and other peices for sure. The staff was also welcoming and greeted us in and they had plenty of staff to help if you needed it. This place is definitely worth a look around!

On second visit, I decided which couch I wanted (of course I pick the most expensive one on the floor). Came back for my 3rd visit and brought my sister and niece to help me spend almost an hour picking out the fabric for the custom made couch. There are so many choices, almost too many choices. Zach was super helpful, and didn't mind how long we spent at the store to make decisions, giving us various options on fabric, wood, length, etc. Estimated 3-4 weeks for delivery. Got the couch today, about 3 weeks. Delivery window of two hours, delivery guys were fast and efficient. I love the couch!!

My experience dealing with Carlos was great, and I'll definitely be a repeat customer. I've been following their website for a few months now and they consistently have interesting, affordable mid-century pieces rotating through their inventory. I think they said there are updates on the site every 10 days, but the RSS feed seems to have something new every two or three days. Since there isn't a storefront (it's run from a storage unit in Portrero Hill) this is the best way to check out what they've got on hand. I ended up going to meet Carlos at the storage unit for a pair of lounge chairs and a dresser. Normally I'm extremely hesitant to purchase furniture sight unseen, but everything I saw in person was in such impeccable condition that I regret not putting down a deposit on the dresser - by the time I showed up the next day to check it out, it had already been snagged by some lucky jerk (Carlos had told me that someone had put down a deposit on it earlier, so I knew this was probably not going to work out). Instead I had to "settle" for just the chairs, which look fantastic in my place. He even wrapped everything up in plastic wrap for me since the person who had my Zipcar truck the hour before me had apparently used it to transport their collection of dirt. Just a totally satisfied experience overall.

It turned out this dealer was in SF, so I went in person to take a look. We met Carlos at a storage facility in Potrero Hill to view the dresser. It was in superb condition. We looked at some of his other items, and they were all so cool and in great shape. Clearly Carlos has an eye for design and attention to detail, because the refinishing was excellent on the pieces we saw. We purchased the dresser and arranged for delivery, which was prompt- the next day. The dresser arrived wrapped in moving blankets and was carefully set up in my room, and it looks awesome! I will definitely be doing business with MCMF again, I found everyone to be highly professional, friendly, and prompt. Additionally, I have my eye on some other things we saw.
