Do NOT buy anything from this place. Sold me a lemon and wouldn't make a new one or refund. Went in originally and sat on a comfortable couch, so I ordered one. The product that arrived at my house a few weeks later was totally different than what I sat on and ordered. Overinflated cushions that felt like silicone implants/bouncy houses. My couch was supposed to be "angel soft" or some super soft cushion. Nope. And it was 6 inches longer than we wanted. To Richard's credit, he tried to fix it, sent someone out to address the cushions and then picked it up and shortened it (which I paid for even though it arrived longer than I wanted) . And then they cut it too short...end result was worse somehow, a sort of Frankencouch. This was a lost cause from the start. Biggest case of buyer's remorse I've ever had. Wound up buying a SECOND couch at Room and Board, which is what EVERYONE told me to do in the first place. Desperately wish I could go back in time and spend that 3k+ on something I didn't need to have Remoov haul away 6 months later. I wanted to buy local and they were nice people, so that why I gave them my business. Don't make my mistake. Save your money. Avoid this place. read more

I love this local business so much I have purchased not only one custom couch from them, but a custom arm chair and ottoman and a custom recliner as well! Their furniture is incredibly well-made and affordable, they have a fantastic selection of fabrics and colors, including beautiful, rich hues, and a broad selection of styles that will fit different fashions. But the most important thing as far as I'm concerned is being able to customize your furniture to fit your comfort. I love everything about this store. Before visiting, I had been shopping for a couch for more than a YEAR. I have forgotten the name of my new Turkish friend who helped me but he was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and un-pushy. I tend to have extreme decision difficulty, but every time I showed him an image of a couch I liked or described a feature I wanted, he was able to show me something that would match my needs and desires. We'd been looking for a sleeper sofa for den/guest room in preparation for a Thanksgiving housefull. Popped into Zozi's since we were in the neighborhood. They had a floor model that fit our needs and appears well made (a bit firm, but we know that foam cushions soften over time.) It is an interesting design, with a chaise portion that is basically an independent ottoman with a chaise-sized cushion fitting the sofa and chaise-- meaning you can move it to either side of sofa. Richard (manager) offered a decent price for taking the floor model, and, voila, we had it delivered same day. I'm writing this review TEN YEARS after purchasing a sofa from Zozi's. We worked with Richard and his lil' puppy to select the exact sofa we wanted. It's grey brown, chaise on the left, thick arm, lined cushions, extra firm. It has moved with us once. It's been the home of countless gaming and viewing sessions, I cross stitch on this couch. 4 cats have loved this couch. Our 4 year old (who was inconceivable and not conceived when we made this purchase... and also not conceived on this couch) has built many forts using this couch. While the fabric on the couch ends is struggling (see previous note re: cats), and the cushions are very committed to their lumpy-up-top forms, this couch has been a phenomenal backdrop to our life over the years. The cushions we sit on have held up, and there are no parts of the couch we avoid sitting on. He came back to me with a full list of items, and we sat down and figured out what would work best. He offered tons of pieces that provided more utility than what I had planned, and also worked to make everything match. He helped me furnish my entire apartment. Came here on a whim because couches online were either too expensive or back ordered and I was nervous to order a couch without testing it. Store carries really stylish couches of all types - leather, velvet, cloth. And everything is customizable for 3-4 week delivery (I think they said 1-2 weeks in non-COVID times). I wasn't sure what kind of couch depth or height we would want and Richard was great to point me to different options for depth, firmness, and height so I could better decide what we liked. TLDR: I purchased the wrong size couch and Richard was understanding and super helpful in solving the situation. Also couch was affordable and we love it. We had a wonderful experience with Richard and the crew from beginning to end. We were in need of a sleeper sofa that was nice looking, comfortable to sit on every day and not gonna totally break the bank. Richard helped us to find something that was perfect for our needs, while being easy going and thorough. Now, unfortunately I'm an idiot so the couch we purchased ended up not fitting into our living room. On top of that, I had the movers take away our existing couch before the couch was delivered, so we were couchless (also of note, my wife was 8 months pregnant at the time). Needless to say it was a frustrating day for my wife, and a sad day for my ego. Luckily Richard was completely awesome and softened the blow with his help. The couch ended up having to be altered at the factory, they charged a fee, but Richard didn't add any additional fee for his trouble. That was great and much appreciated. On top of that, once he heard about our couchless house with pregnant woman, he had his team deliver a loaner couch for us to use until our original couch was done. We had a beautiful couch to use for 2 weeks while the original couch was fixed. Finally, the couch was delivered at the proper size and was ready to rock by the time baby showed up. I recently purchased a mattress, an office chair and a desk from Zozi's Loft and wanted to tell everyone GO HERE NOW!!! See Richard and you will be well taken care of. Richard is amazing and here is why... I was able to get a great mattress, a desk and an office chair and he even threw in the bed frame until I decide if I want to purchase a bed all for a lovely price (I stayed way within budget). He also made sure that my items were delivered on time and the delivery price was very reasonable. I got all of my stuff intact with no damage or scratches. And then to add to all of this Richard made an arrangement with the delivery crew to come and meet me at Bed Bath and Beyoncé (yes I said Beyoncé) on the same day as my delivery and get my 600-pound kitchen island included in the delivery for an extra $20.00!!! Zozi's didn't have what we wanted in the store, but we started talking to the owner and he told us he could do a custom couch, at a price that was less than we would have spent pretty much anywhere else. Now, we have a custom mega-deep super comfy couch, in the perfect color, and couldn't be happier. I have been waiting for Richard for almost a year now to repair a broken dresser that he delivered to me. Just to find out that he never stopped the billing with Acima and I now own $3000 for a dresser that was worth $1200. Richard never sent a repair man and never cancelled the order. He has delivered broken and scratched furniture to me before and waived some fees to make up for it. But this is unbelievable. Richard and his business are both very unprofessional! And to top it off, I posted the same thing a few days ago on the Zozi's Loft FB page and just received a threat text from Richard... "Two can play at that game you want to give me a bad review I'm going to find out what the ethics violations are for receiving furniture and not delivering any services you don't know who you're fucking with" It appears that Richard handles negative reviews with threatening texts! What a shame. Richard, look at all the other poor reviews you have. It's clear that you over promise and under deliver, AND don't tell the truth. It makes me question your other "5 star" reviews. So many of the negative reviews reflect almost exactly the way I was treated. You promised to fix the dresser. Never did and told me that you'd write it off and have your guys pick it up or I could keep it. You never came and got it and according to Acimas (finance company) you told them you were fixing it and instructed them to continue to bill me. The other times that I have financed furniture with you , I always paid it off early to avoid interest. AND, BOTH times you have begged me to "lie and tell acima that I got the furniture when i left the store. Or else, you wouldn't get paid right away" Just shady all around! WATCH OUT CONSUMERS! Went in to get a leather couch, realized that it was going to be just as gorgeous and thousands of dollars less if we went with fabric. We were able to select the style we wanted (chesterfield), the exact length, and the fabric -- tons to choose from. Loren was the perfect mix of attentive, knowledgable and friendly! He let us take our time and did not pressure us. We looked at some faux leather and fabric selections, then came back in a couple weeks to make our selection -- we wanted to think about what color we wanted. Maybe 5 weeks later we got a call letting us know that we could get it delivered the next day for only $90. Such an easy process and we LOVE OUR COUCH! If we ever move out of our tiny SF studio, we'll definitely be back to add to our apartment! read more

My wife and I were looking for a sofa and found Zozi's Loft on Yelp. We went into their funky (and I say that affectionately) store. I have to say that I HATE furniture shopping and was ready to walk out before I walked in. I didn't want to be pressured. We were greeted by the owner and we checked the place out and found something we liked. The price was in our budget and since it's custom, they went through all the options with us and we were able to change some things around. We ordered and that was that. They called us when the sofa was ready (almost exactly when they said they would) and we arranged the delivery. At the appointed time, the guys showed up at our place in Oakland and gave us what I would consider "white glove" delivery. Once unpacked and set up, the sofa looked even better than we remembered it and we're absolutely thrilled. They know their stuff and they're there to help you buy -- not sell you.
