    I went to Reperch to buy a sofa I saw online and was so confused and frustrated with the shopping experience that I left empty handed. Upon walking in, I noticed the place looked like a warehouse and saw a lady sitting at a desk, playing on her laptop. She didn't bother to look up or greet us in any way so I wasn't sure if she was customer service or if I was even in a store. My boyfriend and I both wondered, out loud, if we accidentally wandered into the warehouse rather than the store. We almost left but then saw a room to our left that was filled with sofas so went in to look for the sofa I saw online. The room had a center aisle to walk down with furniture crammed in sections along the aisle.. Some sofas were unwrapped and sitting normally while others were partially wrapped in cellophane and sitting on their sides or stacked in whatever way they could fit. It was hard to see each sofa since it appeared they were being stored rather than displayed. We had to squeeze between sofas to see what little we can of each one. All the sofas had tags with numbers on them but no price. So we asked a couple next to us (the only other customers in the store) how they were able to see prices to which they told me to download an app and that the QR scan code can be found near the customer service desk. I asked the lady sitting at the customer service desk about the QR code but she doesn't look up from her computer or respond. The couch I saw online was a beautiful West Elm couch for only $180 so I figured this store runs on low prices rather than service and, undeterred, started searching for the code around her desk. I remained in an area 1-3 feet away from the customer service lady, with my cell phone camera out, looking for a QR code and she ignored me the whole time. I felt like a ghost being that close yet invisible. Another customer entered the store, leaned into where the customer service lady sat and said she needed to pick an item up. To my surprise, the customer service lady answered and asked for the customer's name, which the customer gave. She then waved at an object behind the customer and said she can go ahead and take it. "Do you need to see my ID or anything?", the customer asked. "No." the lady simply answered as the customer turned around and saw the object she was buying was located right next to her feet. "Oh, that was easy!" the customer exclaimed as she bent down and grabbed the item. Hands full and vision blocked by the item she picked up, the customer happily walked to the front door and struggled at the exit as the customer service lady went back to typing on her laptop. I stand in shock. Can anyone care less about people than this "customer service lady" did? My boyfriend breaks me from my spell by walking up to me and announcing that he still can't find the couch we saw online. He then asks if I have the app yet to which I answer that I couldn't find the paper with the code. We are both standing 2-3 feet away from the customer service lady at this time - definitely within ear shot since it was where I was standing when she spoke with the other customer and I could clearly hear everything that was said. I finally get her attention, and my boyfriend finally finds the download code (which was right next to the lady) and I'm told that the customer service lady can't tell me exactly where the couch is but can say it's in section 15. I then asked how I could identify the couch once I find section 15 (since most items are hard to see and identify) and she tells me to look for the item number. I then ask first the item number which she gives me as well. The customer service lady wasn't rude and answered questions but she really gave the bare minimum and immediately returned to whatever she was doing on her computer. So, my boyfriend and I return to looking for the couch. Once we find it, we see it's one of the unwrapped couches and that it's dirty and stained. We both imagined it was from people rubbing up against it as they navigated between sofas. The sofa also did NOT look like the photis and the color was way dingier than the photos. Dismayed by how ugly the couch was in real life and the lack of service, I wanted to leave but m y boyfriend REALLY wanted to buy a couch the same day, so he insisted we look around the store more and get something else. But the app didn't work well. We were only able to get a few items to display (most items wouldn't finish loading up or weren't in the system yet). One item showed a pic of an end table rather than the couch the item number was posted on. The prices of the couches that we pulled up on the app ranged from $600 to $1,750. Honestly, I don't think prices were low enough to be worth the hassle but if you want to try shopping here anyway, I hope this review helps you understand how this store works and saves you the struggle of hassling with customer service.     The Local Flea is UNBELIEVABLE! We came across them after reading an article at SFGate and went and checked out their online catalog. Immediately found a large framed painting and ordered it for delivery. Just the frame was worth more than they were charging for it. They got back to us immediately and set up a delivery time. In the meantime, we looked around some more and came across a beautiful 55" round granite table. We wrote them immediately and asked if it would be possible to get it delivered at the same time as the painting. They agreed and, despite the table being huge and weighing a ton (almost literally), they didn't charge more for the delivery. When the delivery arrived, on-time, the granite pedestal for the table was damaged and taped together. It would take some work, but it was fixable, so we accepted delivery since the table was so beautiful and a steal at the price. It did appear to us that the damage was probably caused by the delivery company. We wrote to The Local Flea and explained the problem and sent photos of the damage. They got back to us immediately and offered an extremely generous adjustment. They are obviously willing to go well above and beyond to make the customer happy. We were able to get the table repaired and it is beyond beautiful. The Local Flea is an honest, reputable, and customer-oriented business that we look forward to purchasing from again. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Tons of high quality merchandise at rock bottom prices and the best customer service we have found anywhere. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

    4k Dell Monitor and Sony soundbar

    Bought a Sony soundbar and a Dell 4k monitor from Reperch. Spent less than $200 in total because the monitor was missing a power cable. I had a spare power cable, so this was a steal. I will NEVER buy anywhere else before checking Reperch first.

    Great place to find quality used furniture. There's a LOT to choose from, and I'd suggest using the website first. Highly recommended!

    What a great store! My roommate and I went here to get a couch for our new apartment. We unfortunately couldn't find anything in the store, but the employees were super helpful and told us they had a sofa warehouse 10 minutes away! We made an appointment on the website to go to the warehouse the weekend after! They have over 100 sofas at the warehouse that you can try out! They also have a website with all of them listed so you can see what's at the warehouse in advance. We picked this amazing sofa and it was such a great price! We set a delivery date and the delivery guys showed up on time and took it up our spiral staircase. Can't wait to get more furniture from them:)

    Hi Christie, all the items will end up on the website. We do have some items that have been recently received and are in the process of being photographed and appraised that are not yet on the website until that process is completed.

    Can I bring in my items for consignment vs scheduling a pick up?

    Hi Mel, thanks for your question. At this time all the items that we resell on consignment are picked up by our parent company remoovit.com. Drop offs it is something we are considering for the future but unfortunately not yet.

All in all, worth checking out, you might find something you really like at a great price - just be prepared to take process into your own hands once you're all paid up.

On the last visit (Labor Day 2025), I'm not sure if there was a new employee, or if the person at the cash register was just having an off day, but the lady working the register was incredibly rude. I'm sure some of my questions weren't that hard, however they were questions that, had they gone well probably would have resulted in some good sales. However, the individual couldn't be bothered to look up or get off the computer or phone to help in a meaningful way. Additionally, my wife asked a question about a mirror and whether or not it was recommended to hang or not, and she just said, "did you look at the back?" in a rude tone. It was clear she didn't want to help us (or maybe she didn't want to be at work on this particular day). I'm hopeful that this was a one off event, I'd still like to think it was just this particular worker that was off. I think we'd visit again, however will go out of our way to not work with that individual. In the end we passed on spending a good chunk of change (in our eyes) because this individual couldn't bother to get off her phone/computer or help her customers. We will give it another chance, and hopefully the next time we're in changes our view. Incredibly disappointing for a store we used to love.

Based on what my husband and I saw it did look like they worked independently, and it said nothing in the description about that so we trusted what we saw.  I understand it costs money to have someone pick up the chair for a return, however this seems highly unfair when the listing made it seem smoother as well as things working independently when reclining each and they don't - they recline at the same time. This feels like terrible marketing and customer service to not make it right or attempt to. Do not buy this product if you want a smooth recline and are looking for the leg and head recline to be independent of one another. It's not comfortable. The only thing it's got going for it is it's beautiful. I wish I would have never bought this because now my only option is returning with a 50% restocking fee. I purchased this chair with GoFundMe money so this is no small price tag for me and it seems like terrible customer service and marketing to not make this right.

The product that arrived at my house a few weeks later was totally different than what I sat on and ordered. Overinflated cushions that felt like silicone implants/bouncy houses. My couch was supposed to be "angel soft" or some super soft cushion. Nope. And it was 6 inches longer than we wanted. To Richard's credit, he tried to fix it, sent someone out to address the cushions and then picked it up and shortened it (which I paid for even though it arrived longer than I wanted) . And then they cut it too short...end result was worse somehow, a sort of Frankencouch. This was a lost cause from the start. Biggest case of buyer's remorse I've ever had. Wound up buying a SECOND couch at Room and Board, which is what EVERYONE told me to do in the first place. Desperately wish I could go back in time and spend that 3k+ on something I didn't need to have Remoov haul away 6 months later. I wanted to buy local and they were nice people, so that why I gave them my business. Don't make my mistake. Save your money. Avoid this place.

My experience dealing with Carlos was great, and I'll definitely be a repeat customer. I've been following their website for a few months now and they consistently have interesting, affordable mid-century pieces rotating through their inventory. I think they said there are updates on the site every 10 days, but the RSS feed seems to have something new every two or three days. Since there isn't a storefront (it's run from a storage unit in Portrero Hill) this is the best way to check out what they've got on hand. I ended up going to meet Carlos at the storage unit for a pair of lounge chairs and a dresser. Normally I'm extremely hesitant to purchase furniture sight unseen, but everything I saw in person was in such impeccable condition that I regret not putting down a deposit on the dresser - by the time I showed up the next day to check it out, it had already been snagged by some lucky jerk (Carlos had told me that someone had put down a deposit on it earlier, so I knew this was probably not going to work out). Instead I had to "settle" for just the chairs, which look fantastic in my place. He even wrapped everything up in plastic wrap for me since the person who had my Zipcar truck the hour before me had apparently used it to transport their collection of dirt. Just a totally satisfied experience overall.

    I was looking for the perfect mid century modern dresser for my bedroom. I found one on 1stdibs.com…read morethat was what I was looking for. It turned out this dealer was in SF, so I went in person to take a look. We met Carlos at a storage facility in Potrero Hill to view the dresser. It was in superb condition. We looked at some of his other items, and they were all so cool and in great shape. Clearly Carlos has an eye for design and attention to detail, because the refinishing was excellent on the pieces we saw. We purchased the dresser and arranged for delivery, which was prompt- the next day. The dresser arrived wrapped in moving blankets and was carefully set up in my room, and it looks awesome! I will definitely be doing business with MCMF again, I found everyone to be highly professional, friendly, and prompt. Additionally, I have my eye on some other things we saw.
