I went to Reperch to buy a sofa I saw online and was so confused and frustrated with the shopping experience that I left empty handed. Upon walking in, I noticed the place looked like a warehouse and saw a lady sitting at a desk, playing on her laptop. She didn't bother to look up or greet us in any way so I wasn't sure if she was customer service or if I was even in a store. My boyfriend and I both wondered, out loud, if we accidentally wandered into the warehouse rather than the store. We almost left but then saw a room to our left that was filled with sofas so went in to look for the sofa I saw online. The room had a center aisle to walk down with furniture crammed in sections along the aisle.. Some sofas were unwrapped and sitting normally while others were partially wrapped in cellophane and sitting on their sides or stacked in whatever way they could fit. It was hard to see each sofa since it appeared they were being stored rather than displayed. We had to squeeze between sofas to see what little we can of each one. All the sofas had tags with numbers on them but no price. So we asked a couple next to us (the only other customers in the store) how they were able to see prices to which they told me to download an app and that the QR scan code can be found near the customer service desk. I asked the lady sitting at the customer service desk about the QR code but she doesn't look up from her computer or respond. The couch I saw online was a beautiful West Elm couch for only $180 so I figured this store runs on low prices rather than service and, undeterred, started searching for the code around her desk. I remained in an area 1-3 feet away from the customer service lady, with my cell phone camera out, looking for a QR code and she ignored me the whole time. I felt like a ghost being that close yet invisible. Another customer entered the store, leaned into where the customer service lady sat and said she needed to pick an item up. To my surprise, the customer service lady answered and asked for the customer's name, which the customer gave. She then waved at an object behind the customer and said she can go ahead and take it. "Do you need to see my ID or anything?", the customer asked. "No." the lady simply answered as the customer turned around and saw the object she was buying was located right next to her feet. "Oh, that was easy!" the customer exclaimed as she bent down and grabbed the item. Hands full and vision blocked by the item she picked up, the customer happily walked to the front door and struggled at the exit as the customer service lady went back to typing on her laptop. I stand in shock. Can anyone care less about people than this "customer service lady" did? My boyfriend breaks me from my spell by walking up to me and announcing that he still can't find the couch we saw online. He then asks if I have the app yet to which I answer that I couldn't find the paper with the code. We are both standing 2-3 feet away from the customer service lady at this time - definitely within ear shot since it was where I was standing when she spoke with the other customer and I could clearly hear everything that was said. I finally get her attention, and my boyfriend finally finds the download code (which was right next to the lady) and I'm told that the customer service lady can't tell me exactly where the couch is but can say it's in section 15. I then asked how I could identify the couch once I find section 15 (since most items are hard to see and identify) and she tells me to look for the item number. I then ask first the item number which she gives me as well. The customer service lady wasn't rude and answered questions but she really gave the bare minimum and immediately returned to whatever she was doing on her computer. So, my boyfriend and I return to looking for the couch. Once we find it, we see it's one of the unwrapped couches and that it's dirty and stained. We both imagined it was from people rubbing up against it as they navigated between sofas. The sofa also did NOT look like the photis and the color was way dingier than the photos. Dismayed by how ugly the couch was in real life and the lack of service, I wanted to leave but m y boyfriend REALLY wanted to buy a couch the same day, so he insisted we look around the store more and get something else. But the app didn't work well. We were only able to get a few items to display (most items wouldn't finish loading up or weren't in the system yet). One item showed a pic of an end table rather than the couch the item number was posted on. The prices of the couches that we pulled up on the app ranged from $600 to $1,750. Honestly, I don't think prices were low enough to be worth the hassle but if you want to try shopping here anyway, I hope this review helps you understand how this store works and saves you the struggle of hassling with customer service. The Local Flea is UNBELIEVABLE! We came across them after reading an article at SFGate and went and checked out their online catalog. Immediately found a large framed painting and ordered it for delivery. Just the frame was worth more than they were charging for it. They got back to us immediately and set up a delivery time. In the meantime, we looked around some more and came across a beautiful 55" round granite table. We wrote them immediately and asked if it would be possible to get it delivered at the same time as the painting. They agreed and, despite the table being huge and weighing a ton (almost literally), they didn't charge more for the delivery. When the delivery arrived, on-time, the granite pedestal for the table was damaged and taped together. It would take some work, but it was fixable, so we accepted delivery since the table was so beautiful and a steal at the price. It did appear to us that the damage was probably caused by the delivery company. We wrote to The Local Flea and explained the problem and sent photos of the damage. They got back to us immediately and offered an extremely generous adjustment. They are obviously willing to go well above and beyond to make the customer happy. We were able to get the table repaired and it is beyond beautiful. The Local Flea is an honest, reputable, and customer-oriented business that we look forward to purchasing from again. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Tons of high quality merchandise at rock bottom prices and the best customer service we have found anywhere. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Bought a Sony soundbar and a Dell 4k monitor from Reperch. Spent less than $200 in total because the monitor was missing a power cable. I had a spare power cable, so this was a steal. I will NEVER buy anywhere else before checking Reperch first.

Great place to find quality used furniture. There's a LOT to choose from, and I'd suggest using the website first. Highly recommended!

What a great store! My roommate and I went here to get a couch for our new apartment. We unfortunately couldn't find anything in the store, but the employees were super helpful and told us they had a sofa warehouse 10 minutes away! We made an appointment on the website to go to the warehouse the weekend after! They have over 100 sofas at the warehouse that you can try out! They also have a website with all of them listed so you can see what's at the warehouse in advance. We picked this amazing sofa and it was such a great price! We set a delivery date and the delivery guys showed up on time and took it up our spiral staircase. Can't wait to get more furniture from them:)

BUYER/CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! THE LOCAL FLEA and REMOOV are one in the same. Their business model is really quite interesting BUT I believe them to be shady. Don't let their cleancut looks fool you. And after reading the other reviews...I see the owners getting quite the haul...forget their customers...the only ones I see benefiting from this operation are Andrew and Luis (the owners/managers). They have proven themselves to be dishonest and Opportunists! I still haven't been issued a credit for my $200 prepaid painting, it was suppose to happen the day I went to their warehouse in South San Francisco, they led me to believe the painting was available for pickup. Let's see...how many days ago was that transaction (June 19, 2018)...It is July now and STILL NO REFUND/CREDIT for an item unavailable for pickup? You said that your team takes pride in your honesty and integrity. What a CROCK!!! Thank GOD that I used my MasterCard. They said that the painting had ended its consignment period, long ago? Luis and Andrew should have known! Because they both were there when that occurred! Why pretend that they were completely unaware? That painting was a very distinctive painting by Suzanne Etienne called "The Blue Vase", I am sure that they would have remembered it! They are tech savvy, but they don't quite have a handle on their inventory, even though they use barcodes, software, and devices??? UNLIKELY! I suspect something else is afoot. They are playing their business model and those poor REMOOV customers who actually think they have an ally in the disposal of their belongings! People...sell your items yourselves! You'll be doing yourselves a favor AND keeping 100% of the proceeds! There are so many ways you can do this online nowadays. Or even better, DONATE to charity and get yourselves a tax deduction while helping those in need. Online Buyers BEWARE!!! You'll be lucky if the product you purchase is even there. Lastly, patronize another business where the owners are trustworthy, 'considerate', and actually care about their customers and the consigned items they carry. The Local Flea is NOT that business!! And if you are a REMOOV customer, don't expect to ever break-even, because they will always take HALF of YOUR proceeds plus the hauling fees, etc. read more

Found this gem on Facebook marketplace and although I didn't find the original end tables I was looking at on Facebook marketplace, I found the cutest pair of mid-century end tables. This place is amazing! It's best if you set up an appointment to visit the warehouse first during covid protocols. Everything in the warehouse has a barcode tag on it and you use a tablet to find info on items and put items in your cart for purchase. It was such a blast walking around the warehouse looking at all the awesome furniture, lamps, fans, etc... Their pricing system is cool too, every week the price goes down on an item, so if it's been there awhile, you'll get a REALLY good price on an item. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some cool, funky furniture for a great price! read more

I needed a couch for a very specific area in my home, they has the perfect color, style, and size couch - I was able to make an offer lower than listed to meet my budget that was accepted, that process was painless and awesome!! They have a huge selection and because it is all second hand buying something from here instead of new is doing your part for the environment and waste. The delivery was easy to set up and delivered the next day fully wrapped and delivered by two of the nicest, most professional men I have ever had the pleasure doing business with. Trying to purchase a pair of side tables: Attempt 1: Put in an offer, offer was accepted immediately. No communication, and then they emailed me saying they issued me a refund, but no refund to my credit card. Attempt 2: Put in an offer, again accepted immediately. I provided my shipping address. They quoted me $350 for "white glove" delivery service, even though UPS Ground and FedEx Home were showing less than $100. They told me I can use my own shipper. No more communication or refund. Attempt 3: Purchased directly from website and selected shipping option via UPS Ground on 7/28. No communication or shipping update. I got an email saying my order was fulfilled on 8/6. No response to my email asking where my order is. For some reason the tables are still on the website. Attempt 4: Purchased directly from website again, selected shipping option via UPS Ground on 8/6. So at this point, they have my money 4x for the same order, no communication, no responses to my emails, no shipping update. A few weeks later: One of my orders got fulfilled, as the tables show up. No refund for the other 3 orders. A month later: After repeated emails, and threats to escalate to my CC company, I finally get refunded for 3 orders. I'm all for supporting small business but not when the business is crooked. I'd recommend only patronizing if you are local -- they say they ship nationwide but it was a huge pain in the ass. read more

TLDR: I really wanted to like this place and tried to give them multiple chances for my sale while looking for a futon, but I consistently encountered very poor customer experiences that eventually resulted in them losing my business. They seem like they have a good selection of items and an interesting business model, but with such a poor customer experience they simply lost the opportunity for my sale. I would look elsewhere if you are in the market for a sofa, unless they dramatically improve their customer communication. I do hope a manager reads this and does something to address these issues, as everything below is easily avoidable - but in this case it lost them an easy sale. Read on if you want to see my experience: 1) On a Wednesday I make an online reservation for that Saturday afternoon to come look at futons in their warehouse. I receive a confirmation email right away, and all seems set to go. I proceed to plan my Saturday afternoon entirely around this trip to their warehouse and am intent on likely making a purchase. TWO FULL DAYS after making the appointment, on Friday, the DAY BEFORE my appointment, and after planning my whole Saturday afternoon around this visit, I receive an email stating that sofas are not able to be viewed on the weekends and to please reschedule for a time M-F. **Why was this not told to me when I first made the appointment, rather than waiting two whole days and after I made plans around coming out? 2) I decide to give them another chance, and change my appointment to Monday. While making the booking I enter the item ID's of the futons I want to look at, as it requests. On Monday morning, the day of my visit, I receive another confirmation email, asking for the item ID's of the sofas I want to look at, even though I have already done this during my booking. I have to go through and find the item ID's once again. 3) I drive all the way out to their warehouse for my appointment, and when I arrive the woman at the front desk says "Oh you must be Derek, here to see sofas, right?". She proceeds to tell me that sofas are housed in a different warehouse and unfortunately, for some reason, are not able to be seen today and that the earliest I can go see them is probably Thursday or Friday. Factoring in everything else that has already happened up to this point, I am pretty upset to say the least. Here I drove all the way out to South San Francisco, only to be told I can't do what I had made an appointment to do. Not only was I not told this before I drove all the way out there, but I even received a confirmation email that morning asking for the item ID's of the sofas I wanted to see. Absolutely terrible. 4) I ask how I will know when I can come look at the sofas, and she says she will take down my number and call me as soon as they are ready for me to visit - "probably by Thursday or Friday". Thursday and Friday come along, and sure enough, I receive no phone call. In fact, I now write this one week later, and I still have not heard anything at all. My business was lost the moment I drove all the way out there and was told I couldn't see the sofas, but still, I was curious to see if they would at least actually follow up and call me. Unfortunately, they did not. So all in all, my customer experience with the Local Flea was just very poor all around, and while I continued to give them a chance despite the bad experiences encountered early on, at a certain point they just flat out lost my business. Moving forward I'll be looking elsewhere for used items. read more

I had been shopping for a perfect sized dresser and I found it here. I absolutely love it! I didn't want to let people know about this place, lest everyone run over there and buy everything, but Luis assured me by letting me know how many shipments they get and their usual inventory. It really is a great place to find what you need and then some. The guys were really helpful and the overall service was great! Great big warehouse with great treasures from everywhere. If your looking for Target, or IKEA brand this is not the place but, prices are more than reasonable so you should find something. Luis (sp?) answered the phone when I called to find out if it was open and it was closed but he drove to the store and opened just for us. Thanks Luis! read more

This place is such a gem! I am really into upcycling and all that, and we were able to find a very affordable nice midcentury-ish chair here for 1/5th the cost of the new item. The staff here are helpful without being overly attentive/questioning like at some stores. One of their staff helped us load the chair into our car, which took a little manuevering to get into our hatchback! I really love their system of having the little ipad-like devices to look up prices and that they also have a website. The warehouse is a treasure trove and honestly I could come here every week and never get bored haha. Thank you for helping us get some great furniture at very reasonable prices while helping the environment. =) read more

This place is a hidden gem!!! I came here to look at a dining table that I saw on their website, and I came out of it with a beautiful dining table, six dining chairs, an end table, a floor lamp, and a coffee table. All furniture were in excellent condition and the colors worked really well together. The total price for all of this was only about $550, including delivery to my apartment unit! The furniture there is really nice and in excellent condition. I almost purchased a second dining table just because I was so conflicted in which to buy because they both had beautiful wood. The staff is also super, super nice. Luis and Miguel (I think that were their names) helped me find the dining table I ended up purchasing and were super patient with me while I browsed around the warehouse more (accidentally until closing). The delivery crew was also really nice and brought everything into my living room quickly and carefully. I recommend this place to anyone looking for furniture! They also have other items in the warehouse (like bikes) that you might find useful. read more

Disappointed. Found a wardrobe armoire online and came to look at it. Furniture was stacked on top of each other and rammed together too close. So close that the piece was damaged when they pulled it out for me to look at it. I had to point out the damage to the worker and said I was no longer interested. The worker seemed unfazed and just put it back. We walked around the warehouse and looked at other items. I wasn't impressed with the care of the items. There were many treasures to be found but would be hesitant to purchase now knowing what I know. I went thinking it was a store but I guess the expectation here is to really find online, purchase without seeing a piece and either arranging delivery or picking up. Still looking for an armoire. Sad that this one wasn't it. read more

I am addicted to Local Flea. I have bought many stuff from the store to furnish my home - only Online - and my experience has been great. Their furniture and other items are priced very reasonably and the quality and brand are great too! I was lucky enough to find a matching Crate and Barrel dresser and nightstand that were practically new at a portion of the original price. So happy. I bought many other items that got great reviews from my discriminating sisters (LOL!) at very good prices. The customer service is wonderful - very prompt and always courteous. Purchased a couch via there website, revived a confirmation email with a receipt and scu number and to place a time to pick up the couch. Since they only ship locally I drove a truck I rented with my brother to help bring It back. It took us 1.5 hours to get there once we do the guy working there can't seem to find my couch or any information on It. After sitting on the phone with his boss for 10min the come to the conclusion that my couch has already been sold! Even tho I had PURCHASED It. Paying to rent a truck, 3 hours of time waisted. Completely unprofessional and unorganized I do not recommend this company. read more

Contacted them about an item they had posted on Facebook marketplace. I asked a few questions about the items and verified it was in stock. They walked me through the purchase told me they would send me a second invoice after shipping was calculated. After 4 days I get a notice that my order was cancelled and the item was no longer available. Translation-they sold the item in store AFTER I had already purchased it. I Received only a lame email response about how it wasn't available anymore. Very disappointed especially since i confirmed the item was still in stock and had already paid for it. read more

I love these folks!! They have great quality items and awesome service. I have bought a couple things from them in the past and had no issue. Most recently I bought a TV from them and had it delivered. Well the TV unfortunately turned out to have a problem with the image, but the folks at The Local Flea were quick to respond and I was able to exchange it for one that was actually nicer and bigger (and worked fine) at no extra charge to myself. So I gotta say their expert handling and service have made me a fan for life. Great store! :) read more

I was looking for a large format printer and stumbled across one they had on FB marketplace. I then learned about their actual website and the price was even lower. I drove down in the rain to a dark warehouse because I really wanted this printer. They weren't sure exactly where it was, but were very nice and we walked around until we found it. I was able to do a cursory test to make sure it worked and was satisfied. Their guys helped load it into my truck, and I got it all covered up ready for the 50 mile drive home. Wiped off all the dust and got the printer in its permanent spot in my home. Thanks for saving me $$! read more

LOVE this place. We picked up a gorgeous sideboard today and while we were there, we found an amazing brown leather chair that we also picked up. Wow!!! I truly cannot say enough good things about this place. The Museum where I work searched for fireproof cabinets for our rare book collection for months with no success. When we tried The Local Flee, though, they had excellent quality cabinets at an incredible price. I worked with Luis and he made the purchase easy even helping me out when I ran into some problems on my end. They have a large warehouse full of furnitures and other items. Bring a flashlight because some areas are very dark. Also don't purchase online because their inventory is not updated. I went to buy a notebook online and made a purchase. Then got an email telling me it was sold already. read more

I just discovered The Local Flea and I'm so glad I did! I went there to find a dining room table, and I ended up with a few more things as well. The warehouse is enormous and there are new things coming in every day. I've been back twice now and I'm enjoying the shopping experience very much. So far I purchased three quite large furniture items and had to return one of them because it didn't work with the decor of my house. The return process was super easy and I received a full refund since it was within the first week. Everyone who helped me onsite as well as online from The Local Flea has been extremely nice. These guys are AWESOME! We went to look at a couch after we made an offer online and first of all, they're ready to negotiate, which we really appreciate, and second of all, they couldn't be more friendly and more helpful. It's a huge warehouse and the help you find everything, pull it out for you to look at, it's awesome. Best part for us was that they just allowed us to wander around for as long as we wanted! It was so fun, like a treasure hunt. We went for a couch and left with a couch, a side table, a lamp, some art and a mirror (all for less than a new couch would have cost us and all beautiful and in great shape). If you have the time, go look, you'll find some great stuff. They deliver locally for a reasonable cost and, really, are good and friendly folks. I wish we'd known about them sooner! read more

Nothing is better than flea market furniture shopping online. Let's talk about how I needed to completely refurnish my living room when my roommate moved out and I spent entirely too much money on everything and especially on a chair from Article that I simply could not live without only to find the same freakin chair three months later online at The Local Flea for a third of the price. It was painful. Anyway they had TWO of them so I bought them both. They were in perfect condition, exactly as they were pictured on the website. Picking them up was so easy - mainly because the employee who helped me must have been some kind of Tetris master because he got these two huge chairs to fit in my Toyota Corolla with a little creativity and disassembling. He was also kind enough to pretend like I was helpful even though all my suggestions were terrible and he knew exactly what he was doing. Now I peruse this website daily. FYI you don't only have to shop online. You can go and shop and walk their warehouse if you book an appointment. read more

However, the individual couldn't be bothered to look up or get off the computer or phone to help in a meaningful way. Additionally, my wife asked a question about a mirror and whether or not it was recommended to hang or not, and she just said, "did you look at the back?" in a rude tone. It was clear she didn't want to help us (or maybe she didn't want to be at work on this particular day). I'm hopeful that this was a one off event, I'd still like to think it was just this particular worker that was off. I think we'd visit again, however will go out of our way to not work with that individual. In the end we passed on spending a good chunk of change (in our eyes) because this individual couldn't bother to get off her phone/computer or help her customers. We will give it another chance, and hopefully the next time we're in changes our view. Incredibly disappointing for a store we used to love.

Do not buy this product if you want a smooth recline and are looking for the leg and head recline to be independent of one another. It's not comfortable. The only thing it's got going for it is it's beautiful. I wish I would have never bought this because now my only option is returning with a 50% restocking fee. I purchased this chair with GoFundMe money so this is no small price tag for me and it seems like terrible customer service and marketing to not make this right.

The product that arrived at my house a few weeks later was totally different than what I sat on and ordered. Overinflated cushions that felt like silicone implants/bouncy houses. My couch was supposed to be "angel soft" or some super soft cushion. Nope. And it was 6 inches longer than we wanted. To Richard's credit, he tried to fix it, sent someone out to address the cushions and then picked it up and shortened it (which I paid for even though it arrived longer than I wanted) . And then they cut it too short...end result was worse somehow, a sort of Frankencouch. This was a lost cause from the start. Biggest case of buyer's remorse I've ever had. Wound up buying a SECOND couch at Room and Board, which is what EVERYONE told me to do in the first place. Desperately wish I could go back in time and spend that 3k+ on something I didn't need to have Remoov haul away 6 months later. I wanted to buy local and they were nice people, so that why I gave them my business. Don't make my mistake. Save your money. Avoid this place.

I've been following their website for a few months now and they consistently have interesting, affordable mid-century pieces rotating through their inventory. I think they said there are updates on the site every 10 days, but the RSS feed seems to have something new every two or three days. Since there isn't a storefront (it's run from a storage unit in Portrero Hill) this is the best way to check out what they've got on hand. I ended up going to meet Carlos at the storage unit for a pair of lounge chairs and a dresser. Normally I'm extremely hesitant to purchase furniture sight unseen, but everything I saw in person was in such impeccable condition that I regret not putting down a deposit on the dresser - by the time I showed up the next day to check it out, it had already been snagged by some lucky jerk (Carlos had told me that someone had put down a deposit on it earlier, so I knew this was probably not going to work out). Instead I had to "settle" for just the chairs, which look fantastic in my place. He even wrapped everything up in plastic wrap for me since the person who had my Zipcar truck the hour before me had apparently used it to transport their collection of dirt. Just a totally satisfied experience overall.

It turned out this dealer was in SF, so I went in person to take a look. We met Carlos at a storage facility in Potrero Hill to view the dresser. It was in superb condition. We looked at some of his other items, and they were all so cool and in great shape. Clearly Carlos has an eye for design and attention to detail, because the refinishing was excellent on the pieces we saw. We purchased the dresser and arranged for delivery, which was prompt- the next day. The dresser arrived wrapped in moving blankets and was carefully set up in my room, and it looks awesome! I will definitely be doing business with MCMF again, I found everyone to be highly professional, friendly, and prompt. Additionally, I have my eye on some other things we saw.

Always looking for local places to find, unique, quality vintage furnishings and home accessories. Been back a few times now, and there are always amazing new pieces in the warehouse! I've never left empty handed. The owners Andrew and Luis were kind enough to let me store several on my last visit, since I didn't plan on a moving truck! A beautiful dining table with four cane back chairs, modern office bookcase, large chest of drawers, raw edge bench and a stainless steel kitchen island/bar are paid and waiting for the job to finish for some and begin for me. Next, they'll deliver it all, and at a reasonable price too! Definitely recommend shopping here, but come in when you have plenty of time.
