solar panels on the roof of a house
Judi J.

Almost five years going back and forth trying to get quotes to figure out if solar was worthwhile. We were ready to sign with SunRun and months went by with no response.....and I'm glad they had zero customer service skills. In comes Jovic Construction....we hammer out the details with Gregg and three days later Victor and his amazing crew show up. I say amazing because you can't miss the pride in workmanship with this company. They have an attention to detail that I haven't seen in a long time. They had to reroute a line because I was unhappy with its placement. Victor assured me I'd never know it had been there....and he was right. The line was gone, my stucco repaired and paint matched to a T. My property was cleaned nightly, down to the use of a metal detector to ensure random nails were picked up. The inspector came, reviewed their work and said the job was not only done right, but no corners were cut. It was a perfect install. Now here is where most contractors dissappear. The work is done and they've fulfilled their contract, but not with Jovic. A day later Victor calls and tells me he's done all the work for us to get the system online. A day after that Gregg calls to tell us he sees the system is up and running and producing as promised. A week later Gregg calls again, says he's been monitoring our system and everything still looks good and to call if we have problems. Last week, months after our install, Gregg just happens to be in the neighborhood and notices my panels are dusty AND offers to come back and show us how to clean them to keep them working properly. Honestly, who offers THAT kind of customer service anymore? Jovic Construction not only beat all other competitors in pricing WITH better panels AND an EV charging port, but their service and workmanship is amazing. We are so happy to have stumbled across their company. Victor & Gregg, your pride of ownership speaks for itself. You won't be a secret much longer!

These folks did our solar panels, and we couldn't be more pleased. Gregg and Victor and their crew did an awesome job, and we sailed through HOA review and inspections. Any kind of home construction can be stressful, but these folks made it seamless. You can swing a cat and hit someone who calls themself a "solar installer," but if you're looking for true, reliable pros who stand by their work, give Gregg a call.

After years of procrastination, we hired Jovic to put a new roof on our 2000 sq foot house and add solar. Gregg and Victor and his crew were amazing. Professionals through and through. I stated that above all I wanted the job done right. With Gregg's help, we zeroed out our electrical bill and paid for the roof. I also redid the power in the garage and added a EV car charger. Once the project started, it was over very quickly and it looks beautiful. All the crew were very nice and considerate and they communicated with me throughout the process. I can't recommend them enough.

We researched and got multiple quotes from other reputable companies and Jovic Construction blew the competitors away in every single way. Greg is super responsive, very knowledgeable and showed me all the options and "not pushy". Customer Service has been excellent! The install crew did a fantastic job and installed all 30 panels for us in just 2 days. I have large Koi pond and power is a must and my bill went from $450 a month to pennies.

We interviewed 3 companies before we were introduced to Gregg and Victor. Their proposal was sound and we went with them for our solar installation. Couldn't have made a better decision! Half way through, I went on the roof with them to check on what they've been doing. Their work was outstanding! The relocated vents were done clean and all bolts and gaps had been sealed! They placed them smartly and I couldn't be happier! The conduits looked very professional and they'll even painted them to match the roof. Throughout the process, Gregg was always following up and keeping us informed on the progress. They took care of the paperwork for the tax refunds and rebates as well and we're now Full Solar supplied! The panels look so cool and clean, it's exactly what we had envisioned! You guys are a class act!

"YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!" This is what the LA City inspector said to Victor, one of the owners of this SOLAR company, as he signed off on the installation. Seriously, he said he never worries about the sites he goes to where Jovic is the contractor. Their attention to detail is as good as if they were working on their own homes. Everything they promised came true including timelines which they met and even beat. This is a small Solar install company and their philosophy is to do it right the first time so they don't have to come back to fix anything. According to Gregg, the other owner, they have yet to be called back on any of their installs. I believe it. Their crew is very nice and respectful and their install is super clean and really, just perfect. Some people don't mind the look of panels on their roof, but aesthetically, I don't like it. So they put the panels on the back of our house and you can't see them at all from the front. The fact that they are a small company means that you get 100% of their attention when they are working on your job. They can get any brand of equipment you might want, so they are not locked into selling inventory to get rid of it. They only like to install the best quality for the reasons above. Of course price is important, and they gave me a very competitive price. Not only would I recommend Jovic to my friends, I AM recommending them to my friends.

Because of that experience, we were very cautious when we decided to add more panels and reached out to several different companies. From the very beginning, HPM Solar stood out. They were easy to work with, communicated clearly, and consistently kept me informed about every step of the process. There were no surprises and no guessing about what was happening next. We were also extremely fortunate that an earlier installation slot opened up, allowing HPM to fit us in just in time to take advantage of the expiring tax credit -- something we truly appreciated. The installation crew was excellent: professional, efficient, and respectful of our property. They did great work and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left, which really showed their attention to detail and pride in their work. Overall, the entire solar process with HPM Solar was very smooth and stress-free, a complete contrast to our previous experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering solar.

They were professional, clean, cordial, and the end result was exceptional. I am very pleased with the work performed and everyone that was involved. I hope highly recommend them especially since it's so hard to find a company that will still be around in years to come. My worry was that the installation may contribute to future leaks due to rain. I observed the installation process asking questions and am satisfied that I won't have any issues.

Every person who came out was professional and respectful. What really set them apart was handling both our full roof replacement and solar installation together. I didn't want a roofing company and solar company pointing fingers at each other down the road -- OC Solar eliminates that headache entirely. Their pricing was competitive, and their substantial warranty sealed the deal. Highly recommend them if you're considering solar!

It has been about 8 months since the project was completed so I feel I can write this review fairly…read moreabout my experience. It was pushed to get it in before the credits ended. For the quick summary, there was a mistake in my installation, it was not handled well and the system works well but only have a long struggle. They price match but hard to say if I felt good about the price in the end either. Overall, it is very mediocre. After talking to 4 companies, I decided to go with OC after they honored a price match from a competitor. It was a fairly large system, 15 panels and a Tesla power wall 3 and needed to be added to existing system as my current one was underpowered and required due to new builds in California. Total was about 33k, out the door. It may not have been the cheapest offering but shopping for solar is not my favorite experience and I went with what I felt was at least fair for what I got. I primarily worked with Don from sales and Brooklynn and initially seemed fine and for all intents and purposes, it should have been. I chose to get HOA approval and pay for it myself so it did stall the project through no fault of OC. I dropped the first major deposit of 10k and the installation was scheduled around July 2025. The next part is where the struggle began. The day of installation, the installers tell me the panels cannot fit in the design that they were given. They asked if I wanted to pivot to another part of roof and just install it then and there. I call OC and they admit the design cannot possibly fit my panels on this small area of my roof and I cancel the project and have them redo the plans and for me to go through HOA again. This leads to a very frustrating back and forth with Don and later Brookylnn's superiors as I no longer heard from her. I had about 10 calls or more trying to clarify what to do next and was met with a lot of resistance about what happened. It turns out the plan was actually the original estimate from Don (sales) and for some reason just pushed through their architectural team without consideration of the size. Don's superior Chandler even spoke with me about this and though I can't recall their explanation for this mistake, they spoke as if this was my issue with wanted to go through HOA and that they had no power to stop the project. If I had written this review after this call, I'd recommend no one work with these people. It felt frustrating and at times demeaning, given that they do this all day and I don't know what I'm talking about. After I got my second approval, OC refunded my fee to the HOA approval, but only after I explicitly asked for it. We eventually moved forward with the project and inspection when fine. My guess is had we not had this irresponsible prelimary design provided by Don go through their "architectural" team it would've been fine and none the wiser. As of this writing, the panels are working as intended and I had such a sour experience, I just moved on. But now Don and company requested a review for their internal systems, so here is it and a Yelp one that they did not ask for. In the end, like most of these experiences, it's not the mistake that upsets me, it's the handling of it. Communication started fading when things got more difficult and the lack of empathy or consideration for some dropping this much money on something they will do maybe 2-3 times in their life is disappointing. Much of the time I asked them and myself, how should I know this plan wouldn't work? Sure the HOA can't legally stop me, but I have to live with them, not OC. Whoever may have gotten this far, thank you for hearing my rant. Odds are you will have a fair experience but the truth is, most of these companies are interchangeable. They are all middle men and their strength and differences lie in the customer service and coordination. I didn't expect but solar buying is probably more similar to going to a car dealership. Do your research, advocate for yourself and don't get your hopes too high and it will probably be fine. As for OC, I think in the end they are just mediocre. They're like anyone else you may talk to. The processes are probably similar and I'm glad the system has worked well, which helps my scoring of this review. Maybe they just got lucky with me at the time, as I was getting fed up talking from one salesperson to the next and they price matched. I'm sure others will and can do the same so whoever you go with, as long as you are on top of it, it will go fine.

We had new construction and solar was required. I contacted Infinity Solar and they walked us through each step of the process, and they were very patient and understanding through our numerous construction delays. I was connected with Nick who was great! Most solar companies only wanted to consult over the phone but Nick was more than happy to come meet with us. He looked at our construction and walked us through the next steps, explained who would handle what portion of the installation. Nick coming out and answering our questions made us feel more comfortable about the process. Sara was also great! She checked in on us periodically to see where we were in the construction process. She understood our delays and never made us feel pressured or rushed. They handled the permit process, kept us apprised of when it was approved and when our equipment was received. Infinity does their own installation which was a huge plus. I heard many stories of solar companies contracting out and not having the work pass inspection and the nightmare to get it corrected through the solar company because they did not do the install. Ivan and his crew came out to install. Ivan was patient, explained what they were going to do and what options we had for placement of the equipment. He was very knowledgeable and professional along with his team. They completed the install in a day. If you are looking for solar and want the process to be stress free and feel confident the work will be done right, I highly recommend Infinity Solar!

Absolutely First-Rate from Start to Finish When the fires…read morehit Southern California and we lost power for two weeks, something changed for me. I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.
