Your word meant nothing. I have followed your social media for a couple of years now so I contacted you 2 months in advance for a birthday cake for my wife's 50th birthday party. You told me to call back 4 weeks before the event because it was too soon for a deposit. So I did. Sent a message and you told me to leave my number on your voicemail and you would get back to me so I did and you gave your word that you would take care of me because I mentioned it will be to close for most people to do a cake with short notice. You haven't returned my call or messages regarding my order. The lack of any follow up even to say you can't do it which wouldn't have been an issue two months prior is very unprofessional and is no way to run a business. I wouldn't depend on him coming through for you because you'll be left with nothing at your event.

Joseph is the best!!!! very professional and has some great ideas for our cakes along with side desserts that taste amazing I received so many compliments on the cake and how it was the best cake people have tasted. The cake is unbelievably moist and you can tell each cake is made with lots of skill and passion for baking.. Joseph is the go to baker for all of our events !!! I have also taken 2 classes that were just so much fun and has improved my baking skills giving so much knowledge!!!

Joseph made my granddaughters cake for my granddaughters 16 birthday. First I ordered it from another bakery but I messaged him at the last minute just in case he had time to make her cake. He returned my call and he was able to make her beautiful cake and delivered also. I cancelled the cake from the other bakery and thank God I did! The cake was not only beautiful, the taste was amazing. It was so good. My guest at the party loved the cake and said they will be ordering from him. From here on we will be ordering from Joseph Thee Baker which is now a friend! If you order from him you won't be disappointed. His hard work is a amazing.

You're too prideful to admit that your customer service sucks. I've donated to your causes before and you KNOW this. Your customer service needs work and humble yourself. For some reason FB wasn't allowing me to see photos of his work and he said he has over 3k friend requests he can't add me. How tf is that my problem? He hung up on me. He's completely arrogant and YES its true. His cakes are done with $1 cake mix. You're better off going somewhere else with an original recipe. I'll order from Portos before I order from this douche. Don't trust the 5 star reviews either. Apparently he emails Yelp and demands all the negative reviews get taken down. Wassup with that? If ppl dont like your work they dont. Chin up, buddy.

Don't ever question anything he does. He doesn't take it very well. Just take a look at the direct messages I got from him when I commented about him using his fingers when serving a cake on a video he posted. It was totally uncalled for and very condescending. Ignorant?!? Pumpkin?!? And one more thing, if you watch all the videos he posts on Instagram of him eating, you will see him licking his fingers. Just saying... #unsanitary #unprofessional #dontcallmepumpkin #zerostars Update- since I posted my review, I have received several nasty emails and messages from this guy (I have screenshots). He is THEE most unprofessional, angry, baker. And despite his claims of not doing business with me, he's wrong. I've ordered from him twice (again, I have pictures).

I have ordered many cakes including a wedding cake! So many compliments on the cake and it's taste. I even ordered my wedding cake from him but when Covid hit we had to cancel he was nothing but professional. I've even taken his cupcake class in the beginning of his career very responsible. Best cake ever I was finally able to order a cake and some pastries from JTB!! It was two days before I needed it and he was awesome and squeezed me in! He was even able to deliver it I gave him a Lil extra for gas and he brought it! My guests loved everything! They said it was the best cake they've ever tasted not too sweet but just perfect! The coffee cake was Soo delish! Especially the next morning warmed up with melted butter on top the carrot muffins were great too! They're filled with cream too! I didn't wanna share anymore Lol definitely gonna order more in the near future and You should too! Joseph is the nicest down to earth guy with a huge heart

Since the beginning Joseph has been there to answer all my questions. He has amazing customer service I will definitely be using his services again. This beauty (hoping pic posted) was the center of attention as we celebrated a very special lady! EVERYONE (the guests, the staff, the other diners) marveled at the cake!!! Guess what?!! It TASTES as good as it LOOKS!! Moist and delicious, not too sweet, lots of creamy whipped cream. Did I mention how big this beauty was??? We definitely got our $ worth! The cake arrived in a big, professional cake box which made transporting/carrying it super easy! I don't usually leave reviews, but I really appreciated Joseph's professionalism and service! I ordered a Mother's day dozen mixed box with cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries to be delivered. They were so greatly enjoyed that no one took a picture before they were gone! Excellent customer service. Attentive to your needs and what item you want. He delivers for a small fee or you can pick up the item at his place. Fully licensed. I saw him on KTLA several times and decided to try him for my husband 50th birthday cake. Ordered the cake 2 weeks in advance because we were going on vacation and the week prior to the event Joseph called me to confirm. My friend went to his place to pick up the cake and she was extremely impressed on his setup for a home business. She was impressed by his customer service, clean place and setup was that similar to a bakery. Joseph showed her a couple of other cakes that he worked on. She took his business card and locked in his number to her cell phone. Fast forward to the night of the celebration and everyone was in aww how the cake looked BUT the taste is what won everyone over. Someone brought their own half sheet store bought cake to the celebration to have people sing happy birthday to her & let's just say it was trashed. Joseph cake was gone & I had to rush to save birthday boy a piece because people were taking huge slices. I definitely found my baker & my friends will be using you also. Highly recommended.

Review for Joseph the Baker I had the pleasure of taking a cake decorating class with Joseph the Baker, and I just have to say... WOW. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly professional and made me feel completely comfortable and safe. As a woman, that really matters to me--especially in a more private, one-on-one setting--and he carried himself with so much respect the entire time. What I loved most is that he didn't just let me "wing it" (because let's be honest... that's me lol). He held me accountable and guided me step by step to create a cake I was actually proud of. You can tell he truly cares about his students learning and improving. And let's talk about the frosting... because this part shocked me! My kids and I are NOT frosting people at all--but his frosting? GAME CHANGER. It was so good, we literally finished the whole cake! Overall, such an amazing experience. I ordered my first cake from Joseph over 10 years ago for my grandma's 90th birthday and it t was absolutely amazing. I will not order from anywhere else as the cake was perfectly moist and the flavor was on point. If you have not made a cake or pastry order I highly suggest you do!!! read more

Terrible cake, dry and made out of a box mix which was surprising to me. The decorations were very dated and the screen print is edible but has a very heavy after taste. Lots of sweet whipped cream and minimal fruit. The whipped cream is a mix of palm kernel oil, corn syru, dextrose and very bad for your health. read more

Amazing baker, teacher and role model really. I took Joseph's cupcake decorating class with my niece and we had a great time! Got lots of great tips on baking and decorating. Had the chance to get comfortable with icing bags and proper techniques for decorating with it. Well organized, professional and FUN! A must do for a nice, relaxing time! He provides EVERYTHING ! We ordered a chocolate cake with strawberries and whip cream . Cake was very nice looking but cake was dry. I texted him the baker . Told him his cake was dry. He basically told me I was lying. I didn't ask for my money back which I should of. Customer service gets a zero star. My advise do your do diligence when ordering anything. read more

Found Joseph on Facebook and saw that he does classes. I have been making cakes, but have trouble with my buttercream so wanted to learn a little. If you call him he will give you all the info you need. I was able to set up a class for me and my bestie. The classes are at least two people. Going in his kitchen it was very organized and ready for baking. He is licensed to sell out of his home. His wife and himself are very sweet and welcoming. The first part of the class we are provided with a pen and paper to learn some of the techniques he uses to make quality cupcakes. We then got to see how he makes his whipped cream for topping. Then it was time to decorate. The whipped cream is so delicious by the way! We got to decorate 2 dozen cupcakes each along with filling them. They all came out so nice and tasted delicious! I left feeling like I learned so much and will definitely be putting those tips to use. read more

I learned the best way to reach him is to actually pick the phone up and call him, better communication and he can get more into detail of what exactly you are wanting.
