Joseph is the best!!!! very professional and has some great ideas for our cakes along with side desserts that taste amazing I received so many compliments on the cake and how it was the best cake people have tasted. The cake is unbelievably moist and you can tell each cake is made with lots of skill and passion for baking.. Joseph is the go to baker for all of our events !!! I have also taken 2 classes that were just so much fun and has improved my baking skills giving so much knowledge!!!

Joseph made my granddaughters cake for my granddaughters 16 birthday. First I ordered it from another bakery but I messaged him at the last minute just in case he had time to make her cake. He returned my call and he was able to make her beautiful cake and delivered also. I cancelled the cake from the other bakery and thank God I did! The cake was not only beautiful, the taste was amazing. It was so good. My guest at the party loved the cake and said they will be ordering from him. From here on we will be ordering from Joseph Thee Baker which is now a friend! If you order from him you won't be disappointed. His hard work is a amazing.

Edit: now hes paranoid that I'm some kind of fake? No, buddy I'm not. I'm very much a real person who attempted to order one of your cakes. Don't try to play the blame game. You're too prideful to admit that your customer service sucks. I've donated to your causes before and you KNOW this. Your customer service needs work and humble yourself. Just because you've had some "high profile" clients doesn't mean your shit don't stink. AGAIN, beware of these 5star reviews. They're FAKE. Shame on Yelp for allowing the practice of deleting adequate reviews soley because it upsets the owner. -10 stars. Called to inquire about a cake and he was very rude over the phone. For some reason FB wasn't allowing me to see photos of his work and he said he has over 3k friend requests he can't add me. How tf is that my problem? He hung up on me. He's completely arrogant and YES its true. His cakes are done with $1 cake mix. You're better off going somewhere else with an original recipe. I'll order from Portos before I order from this douche. Don't trust the 5 star reviews either. Apparently he emails Yelp and demands all the negative reviews get taken down. Wassup with that? If ppl dont like your work they dont. Chin up, buddy.

Don't ever question anything he does. He doesn't take it very well. Just take a look at the direct messages I got from him when I commented about him using his fingers when serving a cake on a video he posted. It was totally uncalled for and very condescending. Ignorant?!? Pumpkin?!? And one more thing, if you watch all the videos he posts on Instagram of him eating, you will see him licking his fingers. Just saying... #unsanitary #unprofessional #dontcallmepumpkin #zerostars Update- since I posted my review, I have received several nasty emails and messages from this guy (I have screenshots). He is THEE most unprofessional, angry, baker. And despite his claims of not doing business with me, he's wrong. I've ordered from him twice (again, I have pictures).

I have ordered many cakes including a wedding cake! So many compliments on the cake and it's taste. I even ordered my wedding cake from him but when Covid hit we had to cancel he was nothing but professional. I've even taken his cupcake class in the beginning of his career very responsible. I would recommend him many times over. Thank you Joseph The Baker.

The best cake ever

I just had my wedding last night, and I couldn't wait to write this review. My cake was beautiful and the cupcakes and pastries were delicious! It was a big hit everything was gone. Since the beginning Joseph has been there to answer all my questions. He has amazing customer service I will definitely be using his services again. So if you want a delicious moist cake etc. I say call Joseph ASAP. Thank you again Joseph.

Beautiful looking, amazing tasting...yummy goodness all around! So grateful for Joseph and his impressive baking/design! This beauty (hoping pic posted) was the center of attention as we celebrated a very special lady! EVERYONE (the guests, the staff, the other diners) marveled at the cake!!! Guess what?!! It TASTES as good as it LOOKS!! Moist and delicious, not too sweet, lots of creamy whipped cream. Did I mention how big this beauty was??? We definitely got our $ worth! The cake arrived in a big, professional cake box which made transporting/carrying it super easy! If you're looking for amazing desserts (he does more than cakes AND he'll deliver!), give Joseph Thee Baker a call! Thank you, again, Joseph!!!

Ok...I was able to get ONE pic!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I really appreciated Joseph's professionalism and service! I ordered a Mother's day dozen mixed box with cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries to be delivered. They were so greatly enjoyed that no one took a picture before they were gone! I would recommend to anyone looking to make someone or themselves happy with some great desserts! Thanks Joseph!

Cake was DELICIOUS!! Highly recommended!! And ordering from him was so easy and fast! Definitely will be ordering all my cakes from him! Very nice as well! Very responsive to questions I had! And for me to write a review is very uncommon but I had to for this one!!!

No fondant used on this cake. None at all. I am really impressed.

Excellent customer service. Attentive to your needs and what item you want. He delivers for a small fee or you can pick up the item at his place. Fully licensed. I saw him on KTLA several times and decided to try him for my husband 50th birthday cake. Ordered the cake 2 weeks in advance because we were going on vacation and the week prior to the event Joseph called me to confirm. My friend went to his place to pick up the cake and she was extremely impressed on his setup for a home business. She was impressed by his customer service, clean place and setup was that similar to a bakery. Joseph showed her a couple of other cakes that he worked on. She took his business card and locked in his number to her cell phone. Fast forward to the night of the celebration and everyone was in aww how the cake looked BUT the taste is what won everyone over. Someone brought their own half sheet store bought cake to the celebration to have people sing happy birthday to her & let's just say it was trashed. Joseph cake was gone & I had to rush to save birthday boy a piece because people were taking huge slices. I definitely found my baker & my friends will be using you also. Highly recommended.

My wife and I joined the 4-hour LA Seafood Market Tour (tour + cooking class) last month because my…read morework has wellness reimbursements. Truthfully, it is quite pricey for a cooking class so without the reimbursement, I may not have signed up, but I am glad that I did and we had a great time. Upon signing up, I get a detailed set of instructions which include when and where to meet, what to wear, what to bring. I appreciate the instructions and hopefully people do read it. The class first met at an LA Japanese fish market. I have never been to one before so it was interesting to see. It was very cold inside so bring a jacket (the jacket part was in the instructions). Our instructor Yoko gave us the tour, walked us through all the different tables and explained the history/facts behind them. A fun and informational tour for sure, but the market we went in was a smaller market and not the bigger wholesale market, which was slightly disappointing. After the tour, we all drove to the building where the cooking class took place. Unfortunately it was not walkable between the fish market and the building, but there were plenty of free parking on the cul-de-sac around the corner. That street doesn't look like the cleanest street (maybe a normal LA street), but nothing happened to our car and we didn't see any shady characters. Good enough for us. We followed the instructions to get to the classroom on the 4th floor of the building (basically we call a phone number and get buzzed in). The classroom is a long room with a very long cooking table in the middle and that's where the magic happens. For the next 3 hours, Yoko taught us how to prep fishes that she bought the previous day into multiple dishes. Along the way, she also shared the history and stories behind certain ingredients and dishes, which made the class truly special. I don't want to spoil anything here, so you just have to go see for yourself. The class was small with only ~10 students so each of us got to take turn to do everything. My wife and I both learned a lot from Yoko's expertise and from the hands-on cooking, including gutting a fish which I could not have imagined doing due to my fear of fishes...but I did and it was a precious experience. Eventually, we finished our multi-course meal and enjoyed the food together, everything was delicious. I will be looking out for other classes soon!

Went here for a work team building event and it was perfect from beginning to end…read more Chef Alex, our instructor for the day, was personable, funny, knowledgeable, and entertaining. It was very obvious that Chef Alex had conducted multiple corporate team building events as well as being a skilled/seasoned chef. We had 22 people for our team building event and there was plenty of space for us to each have our own cooking stations (teams of two) and there was ample seating for all of us to enjoy the fruits of our labors after the cooking was completed. We prepared thai food for our event and, WOW, was it amazing. I mean (literally), this was the best thai food that I'd ever had and this is coming from someone who's wife says "you eat way too much thai food!" The very tasty food is a testament to how well run this place is because we are just a bunch of accountants but we also apparently have an inner self that knows how to cook thai food. Overall, this place is clean, fun, there is ample parking and I would highly recommend. If this place wasn't so far from me, I'd definitely go back on a date night with my wife.

We recently brought our All-Star baseball team to Sauté for a team-building event we called…read more"Cooking with the Coaches," and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Chef Alex was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly accommodating, especially with our very last-minute booking request (less than a week's notice). Throughout the entire event, he was patient, kind, and engaging with the boys. He took the time to guide them at each cooking station, clearly explaining what to do and then letting them take over and experience it hands-on. He created a really fun, relaxed environment where the kids felt confident and involved. We all trusted the process, and the food turned out fantastic--but even more than that, the boys had a blast doing it. It was the perfect mix of learning, teamwork, and fun. I would highly recommend this experience for any team-building event, youth sports team, or even private parties like birthdays. It's interactive, memorable, and really well-run. Thank you again, Chef Alex, for an amazing afternoon! -- San Marino Little League All-Star Team
