Steak & enchiladas (8/10)
Sahil G.

We were in the area and were craving Mexican food so we decided to stop here. We got a shrimp cocktail, steak enchiladas, and a breakfast burrito with machaca. The food was all pretty tasty; the steak was cooked just right, and the breakfast burrito was super flavorful. The shrimp cocktail was alright; I thought it was a bit too thick and sweet, to be honest. The service wasn't bad at all, though I did wish they'd checked in with us a tad more often about refills. Overall, the staff was super friendly and great. I'd totally recommend this place, and I'm definitely coming back!

Wet Carne Asada Super Burrito.

I ordered a super carne asada burrito, wet style, and yes -- this thing is huge. For $14, you definitely get your money's worth in size. However, the reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the meat was just not it this time -- very chewy, tough, and overly salty. The burrito overall was on the dry side, too. There was barely any sour cream, and the pico de gallo was minimal, so it didn't really balance things out. I've been coming to Jorge El Tapatio for years -- over 20 years living in Tracy, this has always been one of my go-to taquerias. But this review is only for this experience. Maybe it was just an off day, but this particular burrito was really mediocre in flavor. If you do get a super burrito, just know it's going to be massive, but you might want to grab some extra Tapatio or salsa if you're taking it to go. Hopefully next time, it'll be back to the quality I remember.

Service great & cute atmosphere. Authentic Mexican cusine with a twist and local families that enjoy Jorge's which i loved. Everyone was super friendly from the staff to the customers :) A tad over the usual price for Mexican dining but they offered a variety of selections which was great. From typical favs to Authentic traditional home mades. I ordered an enchilada that came with a small salad and a side of sour cream. The rice was plain for those who dont like overpowering seasonings & the mole was sweet. This was my first time having sweet mole- comparable to a citrus/ orange taste. Not my preferred mole taste as im used to zesty mole enchilada sauces but it was unique and a good first experience. Portion sizes are big and waitresses were very accommodating. Worth a try if you want unique Mexican cusine.

Jorge's El Topatio is a very nice Mexican restaurant in Tracy. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The decor is Hispanic with a large display of rare and uncommon liquor bottles. They have a bar that serves classic cocktails. All food selections we ordered were excellent. One item I wish they would include would be tamales. With great service and delicious Mexican meals, our experience at El Tapatio was wonderful. I would recommend giving El Tapatio a visit for a refreshing adult drink and authentic Mexican meals.

Whenever we are in Tracy, we always stop in here. Friday evening dinner was great - shrimp soup and shrimp taco salad. The soup ended up a little spicy (adding jalapenos was the source) but lots of shrimp in the soup. The service here is really friendly. This looks to be the place for larger groups but they take care of the smaller tables as well.

After taking care of taxes and checkin out the farmer's market, we checked out @jorges_el_tapatio_tracy. I asked a local where a good spot was and she gave us a couple of leads to check out in Tracy. We chose Jorge's and glad we did. Spacious spot with great drinks and service! I ordered the Cazuela. It came out in a nicely sized decorative BOWL with ample amounts of tequila, lime, orange, grapefruit, and Squirt. Yezzirr!!! Salsa & chips were bomb, as well as our tasty comida. Service was quick and very friendly. Good spot to check out coming back home from the Bay, the farmer's market, or any time. Shekitout!

We had not been here in quite a long time. We arrived early for a Friday night and were seated promptly. We were waited on by a friendly waitress. She took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa. The salsa had a little zing to it, but was not the usual red tomato based salsa. The chips were not the best quality but were crispy. I ordered a Cadillac margarita and the vegetable fajitas. Everything was delicious. The veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly. I ate the whole thing! We finished in one hour and walked out to find lots of people waiting to be seated. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food. We would definitely return.

Paid for an order online and went to pick it up and they were closed. Are they closed Sundays now? Worst part is the change went through and I had to dispute it.

I came for their Fri night mariachi during Mexican Independence Day weekend. I made a reservation and the mariachi were set-up in the room w/the bar and that's where they stayed for the 2 hours. Food was good. Beans and rice were good. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Luckily there was a birthday going on and the group had booked the mariachi and were requesting all the songs, so it was a treat to hear them play while we dined. It was a 6 member group and they charged $30/song requested. That is quite steep tbh. The server had told us $20 so I'm glad we asked the group first. We requested 2 songs, the first which they did NOT sing, and that was disappointing when you're paying $30 for the song, and the lyrics are beautiful. We didn't think we needed to explicitly ask them to sing it since they were singing every single song for the birthday group. Why would ours be different? For our 2nd song, we asked them to sing it and they did. The group had 2 trumpet players which is always a good sign. But after hearing them play, I'm not sure I would hire them for $800/hr. (minimum 2 hours). The furniture in the room seems outdated. The food is good though.

I forgot to do a review my first time going, so I figured that second time's a charm, yeah? * Food: 5/5 I found the food to be really well seasoned -- especially the seafood dishes! I got the filete al ajo, and my partner got the fajitas. All in all, not only did it taste good -- it gave us really wonderful vibes. * Service: 4/5 Minus one star because honestly some of the dishes we got took a long time -- and the tortilla came a little cold. * Atmosphere: 5/5 LOVED the atmosphere. I really like how cultural they made it honestly I'd definitely come again as the servers were nice, and they weren't overly priced for two people to dine there.

Food is not good. I was very disappointed with the tacos de carne asada and tortas. The Torta has relish and mayonnaise.

I was skeptical before walking inside that there would be Indian food but I was proven wrong. The interior is chic, funky and dimly lit. Before I could even look at the menu some friendly people offered me what I think was either tikka or butter chicken fries and they were so full of curry spice and the fries were crispy and thin. I knew right away I was in for a good meal! I ordered a to go order of the Guntur Chicken and Naan. The chicken was spicy and full of aromatics. The chicken was tender and plentiful. It was of course, a perfect pairing with the naan. The staff was friendly and apologized for the slow wait time, but that was okay because the place was a vibe.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we experienced on Tuesday evening around 6:30 pm. My husband and I were the first customers to arrive, yet we still had to wait about five minutes to be seated while the manager was sitting near the entrance. The server/bartender also appeared to be on break, sitting with the manager at the time doing paperwork. We placed our order promptly and received our drinks quickly. Shortly after, three other tables were seated and also placed their orders. Since we were the first guests and the restaurant was not busy, we naturally expected our food to arrive in a timely manner. To our surprise, every table that arrived after us was served their meals while we continued to wait. We politely asked about our appetizer and were told the server would check on it. After another 15 minutes passed, there was still no update, apology, or explanation. In total, we waited 45 minutes with no appetizer, no food, and not even a check-back to see if we needed drink refills. We felt completely overlooked. Eventually, we got up and went to the server to close out our tab. Once again, there was no explanation and no attempt to resolve the situation. We were simply charged for our drinks and left, deciding to dine at another restaurant few doors down. We were really hoping this would become a cute go-to spot for a nice meal since the menu looked very appealing. Unfortunately, the lack of basic customer service and communication made for a very frustrating experience. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their service.

Hour of arrival was around 5pm. We were greeted by Natalie and welcome in. We sat at the bar. Shortly after we were greeted by Caroline. We spoke about what brought us here. I explained to her i saw thier Yelp page and a pictures of a pizza caught my eye. She explains in detail of what she is doing with this style of pizza and the ingredients she uses. We were sold. We ordered 3 new haven style pizza or apizza as advertised. We ordered the Mozz , Margherita and one not on the menu Pepperoni hot honey apizza. This is the order she suggested we have them and we complied. I'm no expert of new haven style pizza but I'll watched enough Dave Portnoy to maybe not necessarily be a judge but to recognize what makes a apizza. Let me start by saying these pizzas were delicious. As for the characteristics of a new haven there were some. I'll let you be the judge by the picture or your own experience dinning here. We tried all 3 as they were coming out the oven and also tried them with Caroline customizations. In short they elevated the apizza. She also mentioned she puts some parmigiano reggiano on her pizza and has a big wheel of it in the back which I didn't get the chance to see and take a picture. None the less another thing to like about her pizza.. Natalie crafted some fine spirits for us to accompany our pizzas although I wish they were a bit more unbalanced in a good way but then again the are mixed drink. The ambiance was great with Contemporary jazz playing. I like jazz so it was delightful. If you are at the bar you may need to talk a little louder to your friend. 3 pizzas 5 mixed drinks plus tip $190. I will certainly be back with my wife I think she will like the Alfredo pasta. Caroline signature dish. Heavy cream she says.
