The JVA moving crew were meticulous in packing our belongings- it was dumping rain and they wrapped just about everything we owned to ensure it did not get wet; we didn't even have to ask, they just did their thing! And FAST. The load and unload time was extremely impressive, and the men who worked on our move- Tom, Cale, and Tyler, were so respectful and considerate- totally went above and beyond. Not a single item was broken or damaged; which is to be expected with pretty much every move. My wife was also extremely impressed with their work ethic and manners. I planned the move around their original estimate and was blindsided by the inflated charge. On top of that, the lead mover pressured me for a tip in a way that felt super-aggressive and genuinely menacing. (That was a first, never had that happen before.) There was also minor damage, and the company agreed in writing to reimburse $200 for the repair but never paid, despite multiple follow‑ups. Communication from the office became slow, contradictory, and evasive, with shifting explanations whenever I pointed out their own written terms. Then they just went dark. Between the inflated charges, the unfulfilled reimbursement, the evasive communication, and the uncomfortable behavior from the lead mover, the experience deteriorated quickly. If you want to avoid this kind of experience, do NOT work with Kangaroo Movers.

This was the worst moving experience of my life so far…read more I used Magic Moving in 2025 to move from Burien to West Seattle and that team was great, it was 2 people and they took around 3 hours to move my 1 bed/1bath belongings with stairs - on time, efficient, took care of my belongings, and were communicative. Because of that, my partner and I decided to use this company again to move from West Seattle to Fremont on March 6th, 2026. That was a huge mistake. To start off, this team was 3 very young and clearly inexperienced people. We were moving from a 2 bed/1 bath apartment, which had an elevator, to an apartment in Fremont which did have stairs (21 total). They weren't efficient, it took EIGHT hours for three people to move a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment that was already packed and ready to move. They also HIT AND RAN after hitting a neighbors car and damaged her hood with the moving truck as they were leaving our old apartment (she had to file a police report because it was a hit and run). They put our two flat screen tvs in their PERSONAL cars and we didn't realize until they got to our new place. Once they got to the new apartment, they couldn't maneuver their truck. They wanted to park IN the bus lane even though I told them it was illegal. Then they backed up traffic because they wanted to get as close to the front door as possible even though its a busy intersection and I told them exactly where they could safely park (in our alleyway) but they disregarded that and they tried for about 20 min to maneuver on the street. At this point my partner and I were upset at our experience and knew we were about to pay way more than we should because of how slow and inexperienced this team was. We ended up telling them to leave some items at the old apartment because of how slow they were going. We also ended up telling them to leave all of our belongings on the first floor of our new apartment, which meant we moved all of our stuff ourselves basically. To top it all off, after this EIGHT HOUR ordeal, we had to pay $1300....for three people to move a 2 bed/1bath to a location that was exactly 10 miles away (20 min top). We followed up with the company and told them about our experience to give them a chance to make it right. They emailed back after multiple days and said they would look into the situation. It has now been a full month since that response and there has been no communication at all. We are extremely unsatisfied and will never use this company ever again.

The guys called me about 45 minutes before the window of arrival to say that they could be at my place in 20 minutes if that was okay (much appreciated). They were courteous, professional, made sure all my things were where I wanted them (offered to move things around for me several times), and made sure that I was 100% satisfied before leaving.
