There was hair in both of my dishes. The little that I tasted was really good however, the sight of possibly beard or arm hair in my food made me lose my appetite. The chef was bald with a beard. Coffee - Fresh and hot, small packaged creamer and sugar on table. Egg white plater: Very good, scrambled style egg whites with spinach and tomatoes, a bowl of fruits and toast (toast was little too hard). I would get this again but with hash browns instead of fruit. ;) Huevos Rancheros: Not what I thought... no veggies at all, and the menu had a spicy symbol , but it was super bland, I almost emptied the hot sausage on the table.. Basically I little hash, tortilla cheese and eggs with guacamole (which seemed fresh but bland again). I expected some beans or cut veggies or mushrooms or something (guess I should have read the description properly). They had lot of sugary stuff like pancake, waffles and French toasts, which looked really good with lot of whip cream. Was very tempted to get one,, but not this time. :) The staff, one person attending all the table (at least 15 tables) but she was very efficient and friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place. My friend and I arrived around 10am on Sunday. The place was bust, but not full and we were able to be seated right away. Bananas fosters French toast- was AMAZING. The sauce was sweet, but not overly so, and the bananas were perfectly carmelized. The toast itself was cooked perfectly. I certainly could have ordered seconds. Peanut butter chocolate chip pancakes- these were massive and good as well. The pancakes were fluffy and very rich. I enjoyed the pancakes but they were a little too rich for me. Corned beef hash- I had read that these were really good, but the ones I had were not good. The presentation itself was awful. The potatoes were soggy, there was barely any corned beef, and the seasoning wasn't very good. read more

That was not a good experience!! We waited about 15 minutes to be seated....no big deal. Once we ordered it was about 40 minutes to get our food. People who ordered after were getting theirs. I ordered avocado toast. There was NO avocado on it and the toast was burnt!! I should've sent it back but after waiting 40 minutes I was so hungry, I didn't want to have to wait again. I haven't been this impressed with a breakfast/brunch place in a very long time, and I'm not usually impressed that easily. I ordered the avocado toast, my boyfriend ordered some banana pancakes with candied bacon & some quesadillas as well. The food is so fresh and so yummy. The service was quick & our waitress was nice. The food portions are immense and SO worth the price & the leftovers. The freshly squeezed orange juice was the best thing out of this entire place. I do wish our server had told us that a full order of pancakes was too much for my daughter (and me for that matter!). Both of us took pancakes home. My daughter ordered cinnamon roll pancakes, and they are so sweet and so rich, that one is more than enough. The toppings were delicious, albeit a bit too rich and sweet. I ordered regular, plain pancakes. The pancakes in general were nothing special. Honestly, I enjoy pancakes I make with Aunt Jemima Complete Buttermilk Mix and Original Mix just as much or more than the pancakes at Jonny Cakes. I used to be pretty happy about this brunch restaurant but today when I ordered the "cold brew coffee", they first served me the regular coffee. I thought I might not speak it well so I told them again, then the second time they bring me a glass of coke(which looks close enough to the cold brew coffee though). So I reordered the cold brew one more time, and finally what I got was the regular coffee with ice cuz it was still warm at the bottom of the glass. I've tried their cold brew before so I know how it tastes, definitely not the as same as the "hot brew". I ask them if there is any difference between "cold brew" and regular coffee, they answered it's just with or without ice. Then their advertisement should not say "cold brew" because ITs NOT. Holy cow...this place was delicious. Food was ready fast and it's by far one of the greatest breakfasts I've ever enjoyed. The only negative comment is inside is not very aesthetically pleasing and they never gave me my choice of potatoes that came with my meal. I got the eggs Benedict chorizo. It was incredible! Definitely on my list of best breakfast meals I've ever had. Fluffy eggs cooked in the poached style on top of two thick English muffins. A large amount of fresh guacamole on top of the muffin layered with red, spicy chorizo and ranchero sauce. A ton of flavor on one muffin! It was the perfect mix of heat and breakfast for 8:30 in the morning. It comes with cheese but I asked for none. The staff is pretty friendly and come to the table fast. I went to breakfast with a friends family and just seeing their food was convincing enough I have to come back. Pancakes and waffles are large, strawberries were pretty big and tasted ripe, whip cream is plentiful with your waffle that's fluffy and creamy, breakfast quesadilla is jam packed with breakfast favorites and if you keep it simple, eggs and hash brown portions are large and delicious too. We went here for the first time on a late Friday morning. Plenty of tables open, we were sat promptly. From the time we walked in the door until we left, the service was great. I actually really liked the ambiance and decor. It was very clean and inviting. We were dining with our 17 month old twins. This is definitely a kid friendly place- there were a stack of high chairs right when we walked in. Some restaurants make you feel like a bother with kids or babies- not here, they were great and accommodating which I really appreciate. I think the food has room for improvement. It was just ok, nothing special really. I was enticed by all the amazing pancake selections. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and they just were dense and very bland. I prefer a fluffier, buttermilk pancake though. There was a mound of chocolate chips on top but very few chocolate chips actually in the pancake. It was so disappointing since on the menu, they all sound so good, look so good, but just weren't great. Husband got the Troy omelette which he said was good but nothing special also. The wait is never too crazy but sometimes it can get a little busy. I have had several different entrees at this establishment and I have never ever been disappointed. I have had the pancakes these stuffed French toast the omelets as well as a juicy Burger from this place and everything is always on point. Is also very clean and the staff is very friendly. The hash browns were cooked with the right amount of crisp at the top. The bacon was not over done, it was crispy and perfect like I cooked it myself. My husband ordered red velvet pancakes and they turned out really great and had great flavor. The icing that was on top tasted really good but it was hard to tell if it was a cream cheese icing or just icing. We were seated right in front of the doors which was really drafty. Which made our food get cold fast. It still was a good experience and the food was pretty good. I think we will try it again and try other food items off from the menu. I sadly have to say the past 4-5 times I have ordered takeout from there I have been disappointed. My husband and I absolutely love this place, it's our number 1 spot for brunch. The past few times I have ordered I'm always missing my tortillas for my soup/ and not a full container of soup, a broken tooth pick in my club sandwich, special instructions are frequently ignored. I'm not sure if there's a new cook in the kitchen but it's sure leaving a lot to be desired. read more
