I was looking for a carry out lunch and they didn't disappoint. The Turkey club was delicious and wasn't lacking in Turkey. Very plentiful. The grilled chicken sandwich was so moist and very tasty. Had not been to this strip mall diner in a few years so was pleasantly surprised by recent visit. Friend and I were first customers on a Saturday morning and food was perfect. I was running early for a morning meeting ... so I had time for a quick breakfast. I was the only customer at 8:30AM. I ordered breakfast special #1. The meal arrived promptly, correct and hot. Service was excellent. The waitress asked that I not mention her name, so I won't. Restroom? Clean Dining room? Yes. Parking? Ample WiFi? I do not remember. I think, not. Will I return? I am seldom in this area ... and it's not worth the 25-mile drive. But; yeah, I would eat here again without fussing. read more

Boy do I love a great greasy spoon! My buddy loves this joint and comes here every Sunday for breakfast with her roommates. This morning she had the day off and said "let me show you the way..." so we met here for a late breakfast nibble. I was a very happy camper walking out. The menu isn't fancy and they've got your typical kind of Coney Island fare--coneys (buy 3 get one free!), sandwiches, burgers, etc. And of course the wonder that is the "breakfast at anytime." Friend one ordered the pancakes and these suckers are HUGE. Massive cakes served either two or three on a plate (I didn't count but I was impressed by the sheer volume of pancake that was going on on the table). Friend two got an omelet and hash browns which was also my order although I went egg white Western, filled with yummy bits of ham, cheese, onions and green peppers. Maybe it's just been a while since I've had hash browns but hot damn were these good. Nice and crispy on the outside, warm and mushy on the outside. Larger shreds of potato than most HBs. Oh yes oh yes! The omelet was also tasty. Nothing earth shattering but good quality dinery breakfast food. Also--CHEAP. meals for the 3 of us came out to $22 total. Crazy good. My husband and I go there often and for those of you who complain about service, food etc all I can say is everyone has an off day and you should go back--let them know your dissatisfaction so they can "fix" it We usually have breakfast,but have gone for dinner as well Their omelettes are so huge I have to take half home. I totally die for their Greek salad with grilled chicken. The small is actually big enough for two and the chicken is tender,warm,and tasty.I wish I knew what they season it with. Used to go here quite a bit. Went here with my son recently. We ate, not spectacular - just run-of-the-mill coney fare. Get the bill laid on the table - it shows $24.97... looks right, got two big meals and an extra side with drinks. Go to pay... here's where it gets fun... pull out my debit card. She runs it, receipt for me to sign prints up, and she very rapidly grabs written bill and shoves it under register then gives me receipt to sign. Receipt is for 2.79 MORE than the bill. I bring it to her attention. She simply points to from t of register. I said: "What, am I supposed to be looking at something?". She points again to a 3"x3" white sign on the white register that says simply THERE IS A FEE FOR USING CARDS. Then she sates that there is the same sign on the front door (which we saw when we were exiting). I explain that's fine but 1) it should be on the menus, as well; 2) businesses that do that usually charge a quarter or fifty cents - - NOT almost ten percent of the transaction. She is silent and merely points to the sign again. I said "Well, there goes your tip", and reduced it from five dollars to 2.79 - the same as their ridiculous fee. Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had- and I've had a lot. I've been coming here for about 14 years, and though I dont go in often the B&G is always just as good as it was. Sometimes the service is on point, sometimes it's a bit slow (ironically the busier they are the better service I usually have), but have never had any real complaints about the service. read more

Stopped in on a whim since our power was out, as it's very close to us. Small restaurant but clean. We were immediately served by a lovely waitress. I've been patronizing this business for years (close to home/convenient). I've always thought the service was average, however, during my last visit, I obsereved very poor food safety practices. The server was pouring salad dressing in the little containers and stopping the pour with her bare hands (scraping what was on her hands into the larger container with the salad dressing). This was done after handling cash (never washing hands or wearing gloves). The cook used his cell phone, then he handled the food for customers. I'll never eat there again. read more

They are rude first of all but I gave it a chance because I was to lazy to make the drive to olimpia on Wayne . Ordered off the menu price ended up different , the ham I got in my biscuits and gravy with eggs and ham felt like bologna, my biscuits didn't come separately they added the gravy on it , my wife's diced potatoes that we mentioned more than once came home to surprise you got hash browns. We have been going to this restaurant for about 3 years on an almost weekly basis. Their food is ALWAYS good (and I'm picky about my breakfast). It's not greasy like most coney islands (a big plus for me), it's fast and cheaper than buying the food and making it yourself at home! It's family run and they truly appreciate their customers. We have watched the teen bus boy grow at least 2 feet in the past few years! He knows our drink order by heart. When we eat here, I feel like we're eating at a friend's house. Avoid this place. I asked if there was gluten in the seasoning on the pork chops. Lila assured me there was none however my reaction to the meal confirmed that she lied. When my kind friend tried to talk to the manager she again lied saying that I had not mentioned wheat or gluten. The other 2 people I was with told them they had heard me ask in several ways about wheat or gluten. No refund or apology was offered. I will not ever eat there again. I will not be able to attend a very special wedding tomorrow with the reaction which will take 3 days to dissipate. I would not have given even one star but am forced to. The only reason I marked it down was because for as long as I've gone there, the service is usually below par. I have been coming here for years and years and usually have no complaints but I am currently sitting in a booth waiting for my meal and I am not happy. I asked for a small garden salad with spinach instead of romaine and got an eyebrow raise, and was told it would be more money for the spinach. I said I didn't care, to which I was told "I will have to ask" (I already said I would pay more, so what would it matter). I also asked for a small because the last time I got a garden salad it was literally sized for a family. I was told the only salads that come in small and large are Greek and chef. I came here specifically for the garden, but settled for a chef with chicken instead of ham and turkey-- which again seemed to be an issue. At this point I am agitated and the waitress suggests I get a Greek salad to which I reply I do not want a Greek (I cannot have the dressing for dietary reasons). I ordered the big breakfast and was first served the biscuits and gravy which were cold and the bun was rather firm and tasteless. Eventually my breakfast plate was delivered which consisted of 8 slices of bacon, 3 eggs and hash browns. The bacon was low quality and crisper than I prefer. The eggs were ordered over medium and delivered a touch over cooked. The hash browns were bland. On a good note I was handed two menus when greeted after seating myself. The "breakfast specials" and a regular all day menu. It listed typical Coney Island fare. The breakfast specials menu was priced on the cheaper side which is great for those on a budget but lacked variety. I found the waitress to be lacking in skills. She took my order okay but after delivering food did not check back to see if my food was to my liking. Next time I saw her was when she delivered my check. I love a coney place for their great breakfasts. That is not the case here, as they have no two egg three pieces of meat and hashbrowns breakfast deal. They do have two specials but you have to eat like a horse with the size of those meals. I don't go back to places that charges over five bucks for breakfast without even a drink ordered,. Now if that wasn't enough it was really greasy. I have added this on since I first posted.
