I checked the order slip; it was entered correctly correct. Ordered to be cooked medium; served rare. Bun: Fresh, but barely toasted Veggies: Fresh, cool & crisp Beef? Not seared. Flavor A bit muted. I do not care for a lot of salt, but I added salt. I asked if perhaps my order was swapped with someone else's. Nope. All the kitchen screw-ups do not justify 3-Stars that Yelp considers Okay. Will I return? Perhaps. I am curious about their breakfast menu.

On a busy weekend, parking can be a bit of a hassle, but you have to be patient. This is some place I will go back to again and again!

The waitress waiting on me seems pleasant. The kitchen is rather narrow, not much space for more than one person, depth-wise. They have a really good variety of Delight flavored coffees: caramel macchiato, Irish crème, hazelnut and vanilla. They have fresh squeezed OJ. Ordered a green tea, turkey Reuben with both kraut and slaw, large Greek salad, feta on the side, hobo skillet, scrambled eggs and biscuit and a side of cinnamon raisin toast instead of pita bread. $45.05 I feel blessed that I use both sides of my brain. I can be technical, analytical, I can be creative, I am proficient with the English language. I am organized. I have good traits that go across both sides of my brain. The turkey Reuben is good, small, but the rye is still toasted and slightly crunchy. The cinnamon raisin toast is cinnamon, no raisin, it was so-so. I smothered it with cream cheese, made it more palatable. The Greek salad was ok. It's a bustling diner. The hobo skillet was good. Service is their strength. tldr; Fresh comfort food, forgettable service…read more It seems this place went through a rebrand since all their menus say, "Joseph's Brunch House". We came in on a Sunday morning, which is peak brunch energy, and the opening moments were... a bit confusing. It's apparently seat-yourself, which is fine, but there were no signs and no one behind the counter gave any direction. We ended up following another group's lead and seating ourselves. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. My corned beef skillet was hot and fresh, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice was on point. No real complaints there--though nothing especially memorable either. Service started off fine, but once the food arrived, it felt like they forgot we existed. By the time we left around 10:30 AM--when you'd expect things to still be busy--the place was mostly empty, but we still had to flag someone down for coffee refills and boxes. This place clearly wants to be the fancier brunch experience but still has some legwork to do. Tightening up service would take them to the next level. There was just something about the restaurant's energy that inspired us to try somewhere else for brunch next time.

Classic hole in the wall! Wow did I love it. The food is cooked more or less right in front of you, and it is clearly a family place. I had breakfast that evening and I can't wait to go back to have the blueberry pancakes. My son-in-law had the cowboy skillet and they were not a lot of words said, as we both ate our dinner. My wife loved her Cobb salad, and my grandkids didn't talk much as they ate their chicken fingers ha ha ha I plan to try pretty much everything on the menu. I have no doubt that I will not be let down.

She made sure everything was done the way we wanted, and that always feels good, when someone truly listens and gets it right. The food was decent and prepared just the way we asked. I got the cowboy macaroni and cheese that came with bbq pulled pork and candied bacon. It was super good but there were also three or four other things I wanted to try too. Fries were scratch made with a uniques shape that had visual grooves that I had not seen at any other restaurant. Aside from the unique shape they were nice and crispy and quite tasty in their own right. Cleary a superior burger and fries versus other restaurants that are in the area. Aside from the food I had their Old School Margarita and their Deadwood Old Fashioned. The Margarita was just OK in my opinion. Basis of the drink was 1800 tequila which I am not a fan of and Cointreau. Seemed to lack the Agave Forward notes I look for and lime component was not as bright as I like it either. However, the Deadwood Old Fashioned with the Woodford Reserve Bourbon was outstanding and definately one of the better made ones in the area. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance about it with rustic western vibe which I really like. There is also a large outdoor dining area to take advantage of the nicer days which is something to consider if that is what you are looking for. Relative to staff, they are so friendly and outgoing with excellent follow up throughout the meal and clearly a strength of this business. Overall a great dining option in the Northville area and worth checking out if you are in the area.
