I was basically ignored for about 45 minutes until someone opened the door and said oh, I didn't know you were waiting. They apparently lost me in the system, and no one came to do my eye exam. On a positive note, I was able to order glasses that worked out very well for me so I'm offering a mixed review.

Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! Overall, for my first experience with this place, it was a pleasant surprise and I found myself not dreading an eye exam and hunting for something I never am really satisfied with- until now. As always, Enjoy & Happy Sight Seeing!

Staff are friendly and helpful. No issues with my insurance unlike my experiences at the other chain eye clinic I used to frequent. Chance, the fitment/eye technician (not sure on the real title), is super friendly and helpful. Taught me a lot about frames and types of lenses they offer. Dr. Yelgar was very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. Very professional. My initial worry was that a non-chain clinic might not have a lot of eye glasses frames to select but I was thankfully wrong. They had brands ranging from Nike, Oakley, the bendable frames, Dragon, etc. I think the prices are decent, I don't have much experience though. Around $219 for my Oakley frames before insurance kicked in. I'd highly recommend this clinic! Nice and welcoming. Doesn't feel like you're being a nuisance being there, unlike my old eye clinic chain (it was America's Best in Tukwila, bleh).

Then they said that both sets were actually on back order now. Lied 3 separate times about it. When I finally got my trials, I called to inform them that I'd like to finalize. Called about a month later to check on the status. They didn't return my call. Called back 3 weeks later just for them to tell me they indeed received the finalization request from me, but never actually ordered them. AND, that it could take 8 weeks to get to me. It'll be 6 months total trying to get some new contacts from these complete morons. These people and this office SUCK. Absolutely FUBAR. Wish ZERO STARS were an option. In addition I will continue to share my experience here when anyone brings up local optometrist/glasses stores. I visited this location April 15 2025 for an eye exam, specifically to order contacts. The eye exam visit was decent (wait times, interactions standard) While not particularly warm and welcoming. First thing they asked me to do was to take out my current contacts. I went through the entire appt and conversations without being able to see anyone's faces. The exam was complete and I went to pay an additional money owed for co pay as well as additional box of contacts. They have to be ordered due to my prescription level and it's always taken 1-2 wks. 4 weeks later - May 2025, I kept checking my mailbox for my new contacts and they hadn't arrived. I called LensCrafters and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. 6 weeks later - End of May 2025, I call back and reach an employee who casually states "your contact order for the brand you chose doesn't come in your prescription". I asked why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. "I don't know but you can come in and ask". Wow. So... 6 weeks and no order was ever placed? I've been wearing the same prescription in my preferred brand for years. 6 weeks and they didn't even call me to let me know? I paid in advance. 8 weeks later, June 20 2025 I went back in to LensCrafters. Apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time so i had to wait until 2pm when they re-opened. I asked again why nobody has called me to inform me my order never went through. Or to come in to try samples. 8+ weeks later and I still don't have 2 boxes of contacts that I paid for in April. I told my MIL about this incident in general without stating the business name. Her reply? "It wasn't LensCrafters in the mall, was it? I've been waiting 4 weeks for my glasses and can't get an update from them." Ha

I did start feeling some discomfort in the repaired eye about seven months later and took them up on their offer for another complimentary check up. One month later, that discomfort is gone. Again, they could have done the lasik, taken my money and said, "sayonara." But they instead continued to follow up with ongoing concern for my eye health and recovery. You don't experience customer service like that from many businesses these days. The exam portion went well and the doctor took the time to explain everything to me very thoroughly. I greatly appreciated that. The problem came in with my frames. I used my annual VSP benefit and selected some Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses. Initially, I had to wait till they got the larger size frame in and was told that it was too big for my face. I tried on the smaller one and noticed that it pinched a little bit right behind my ears. It took almost 3 weeks to get the new glasses in and after I started wearing them for about a week, I noticed that they pinched too much and were too uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour at a time. I contacted the office and let them know that and I was not apprised of any exchange option or anything else. I am now out several hundred dollars and have a pair of glasses that I can't wear.
