I was basically ignored for about 45 minutes until someone opened the door and said oh, I didn't know you were waiting. They apparently lost me in the system, and no one came to do my eye exam. On a positive note, I was able to order glasses that worked out very well for me so I'm offering a mixed review.

Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! Overall, for my first experience with this place, it was a pleasant surprise and I found myself not dreading an eye exam and hunting for something I never am really satisfied with- until now. Mid April my 17 year old daughter went to see her on her own (I'd had surgery and couldn't go) Dr Ahmed gave her a script and I took her two weeks later and paid and other $100 for new lenses to be put into her existing frames. We get them back and my daughter said. No everything is still very blurry. So back we go. Again Dr agmed is very rushed. Made us feel like we were a bother because she didn't do her job right the first time. She'd ask my daughter. 1 or 2 and she'd say I can't tell a difference but neither of them is clear. This went on for about 5 minutes when she decided to almost double her script. She assured us it was what my daughter thought was best. (Reread this paragraph) So we have another set of lenses made. We picked them up yesterday and she puts them on and immediately takes them off and says I'm seeing 4 of everything. So 3rd times a charm. She's seeing a new dr next week and I will update after her new glasses arrive. But seriously. This is a headache. I should have shopped around for a new Dr and allowed my insuemace to pay for it.

She's thorough, personable, professional and very experienced. Immediately after the exam, our daughter received a lesson on how to insert and remove her new contact lenses from a staff member named Dan. He was great at showing her the ins and outs of contact lense care. Our daughter left the clinic with the ability to insert and remove her lenses which is a major feat for someone who was previously unable to insert eye drops. We decided to order a year's worth of contact lenses through Walmart as their prices were very competitive. The optical manager, LaTina found a rebate for us that made the pricing even more competitive and she was able to bill her insurance company for the exam and lenses. I would highly recommend Dr. Chun and her entire staff at Walmart Vision Center as they are really focused on providing great patient care and customer service.

Staff are friendly and helpful. No issues with my insurance unlike my experiences at the other chain eye clinic I used to frequent. Chance, the fitment/eye technician (not sure on the real title), is super friendly and helpful. Taught me a lot about frames and types of lenses they offer. Dr. Yelgar was very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. Very professional. My initial worry was that a non-chain clinic might not have a lot of eye glasses frames to select but I was thankfully wrong. They had brands ranging from Nike, Oakley, the bendable frames, Dragon, etc. I think the prices are decent, I don't have much experience though. Around $219 for my Oakley frames before insurance kicked in. I'd highly recommend this clinic! Nice and welcoming. Doesn't feel like you're being a nuisance being there, unlike my old eye clinic chain (it was America's Best in Tukwila, bleh).

We couldn't even get info as to what we would pay for frames and lenses (we had prescription from eye doctor who doesn't take insurance we now have). It is now almost 8 pm. They are closed for the evening. We never heard back from anyone regarding our insurance, etc. An update: My husband was quoted over $200 for progressive lenses. Not sure where they came up with that as our copay is under $100 for progressive lenses. Needless to say, we will take our business elsewhere. Tried to change from 2 stars to 1 star, but was unable to.

I actually got service at the optical department in the Tacoma Costco location, ( did not find any listing on yelp) I can not tell you how happy I am with the service I got at the optical department from start to finish. The lady really went out of her way so I can receive everything I ordered before I left on my flight out of the country for a few months. I had to make a big order of contacts and eye glasses and I had a little less then a week to receive it. The lady that helped me out after my eye examination did a great job helping me choose out a pair of glasses and made sure I got it before I left. Yay! It is Costco! I love this place. Staff is so friendly, store is so clean, and prices are always great. Plus, they have that rotating selection of goods that makes it fun to poke your head in here once in a while. One question though. Why do I have to show a membership card to get in the store if I can't go through checkout without one either? That does not make sense. read more

It'll be 6 months total trying to get some new contacts from these complete morons. These people and this office SUCK. Absolutely FUBAR. Wish ZERO STARS were an option. Worst part is that I was on my last set of contacts when my company changed insurance, so I was basically forced to go to this pathetic excuse of a facility. This definitely wouldn't even have happened at a Wal Mart clinic. I doubt these clowns even care. Will NEVER consider returning here. Nor should you. EVER.

Located in my favorite plaza in Renton, Oceanclear has a plethora of frames. They have a variety of designer brands as well as high quality eyeglasses brands. I was impressed with the variety of styles and looks. It was quite easy to find a couple pairs that I would like. Dr. Wendy Kuo was amazing! I have hit and miss luck with optometrists lately but after my experience here I foresee me coming back. Dr. Kuo was informative, helpful, and very easy to talk to. She took what my ophthalmologist had told me and related it to the type of glasses that I required. I felt like I had dialogue with her instead of being talked at or rushed, which has been some of my recent experiences with optometrists (or really many in the medical field of all kinds). It was nice because I walked away with a better understanding of how to care for my eyes. Vincent took my initial check-in procedures (pressure test and what not) and he helped me select glasses. Will fully admit I was very uncertain about him in the beginning. He was so quiet - he didn't introduce himself or really explain any of the various tests we were doing or if they were good or bad results. When Dr. Kuo told me Vincent would help me pick out frames I really was skeptical. But once he was around me for five minutes he relaxed and gave fantastic advice! Vincent really helped me find the right look. The two frames I purchased I felt confident looked good on me and fit my face. I was super pleased! The eyeglasses arrived two weeks later and I received a voicemail and email letting me know they in. They were perfect! Pickup was a breeze. Highly recommend!
