radiatori pesto and wood grilled chicken

Not worth the price or hype. Can't even add chicken or protein to the pastas; they don't welcome modifications. $30+ just for a piece of grilled chicken with a slice of tomato and spring mix.. The pesto was good; I think this place is ok, but nothing special.

I've had take out from John & Vinny's before but this was my first time dining in. The Beverly Hills restaurant is small - 55 max capacity inside and a few tables out on the front patio. I came here with co-workers to celebrate a birthday. Thankfully, we made reservations because the place was packed. When you're seated, they place a cup of crayons on the table so you can color your placemat. Each one is different. Mine was a comic series. Too much to color but my co-worker got creative with hers. We were a party of four, so we decided to order family style. Our server Evan K was friendly and accommodating. Our meal choices consisted of: Gem Lettuce Salad with Calabrian Dressing, Eggplant Parmesan, Point Judith Fried Calamari, Brooklyn Dodger Pizza, Bronx Bomber Pizza, & Spicy Fusilli Pasta. I also ordered a glass of the Lambrusco - a crisp sparkling red from Italy. One thing about John & Vinny's is that the food is consistently good. The pizzas are thin crust but sturdy enough to hold the toppings. I really liked the Brooklyn Dodger. The salad was very tasty as was the calamari. The Spicy Fusilli Pasta could have used a bit more spiciness and a tad more cooking time. It was a bit firm (not al dente). Being Sicilian, my all-time favorite dish is Eggplant Parmesan, and I'm overly critical about how it is prepared. I have to say, this one was a winner! Chef's kiss. When it was time for dessert Evan brought an Italian Rainbow Cookie for the birthday girl with a candle. My co-workers also shared the Chocolate Chip Cookie (BDay girl's favorite) and the Tiramisu. I was too full to indulge but, they finished every last bite. *50 corkage fee. Limit two bottles.

Yummy and good. Everything leans on smaller portion for the price point, good to order a few and share. We didn't make a reservation for a Sunday night dinner, we waited about 15 mins at the wine bar inside the restaurant. You could get a wine or a beer while waiting, but there are no cocktail selections. The restaurant is a kinda small but cozy and clean. FOOD Gem Lettuce (8.3/10): Love the crunchy flakes on the lettuce, love the texture, not over saucey, quite refreshing. It's done right, recommend. If you like Caesar salad you will like this. Bronx Bomber (9/10): Pizza is my favourite out of this dinner, not soupy. Thin crust yet crispy, meat lovers would love this. Recommend to have a side of chili oil to make it better, or chili flakes to add some kick to it. *8.5 without chili oil* Spicy fusilli (8/10): Yummy vodka sauce and nicely al-Dante, pasta is not overcooked and it's simply delicious. Not too complex, doesn't have a lot of depth or texture. I've had better pastas but this is quite yummy (not memorable, but yummy). Burrata (8/10): Yummy, good to share on the table for a group dinner. I think it's a bit much for me to have more than one piece when there are pasta and pizza, if you love bread and burrata this is a great appetiser since they don't have complimentary bread. OVERALL It's good and nothing to complain about the service, it's a chill spot for dinner and not upscale. Delicious but not exquisite, this is where the 1 star is lacking. But I'd definitely come back for a chill dinner with friends, recommend but don't expect to have a transformational experience.

Passed by this place numerous times while nearby for doctors visits and decided to stop in. Pleasantly surprised at the whole experience, sad to learn they're only in LA. Would return when i'm around, the menu seems to have so many hits! Food (5/5) - Didn't try a pie despite how good they all sounded, instead started with the ricotta orange blossom honey sesame bruschetta which was SO flavorful, perfectly crispy toast but soft ricotta paired so well with the other flavors. Also tried the freshly made pasta (the bolognese here is the best i've had, rigatoni was cooked perfectly!) as well as the polenta bolognese which impressed me as this isn't a dish i see too often around! Affogato for dessert was just okay, not the best espresso shot pulled for this. Overall great quality and flavors for the price. Service (4/5) - Busy lunch hour, had one really kind fella serving quite a few tables at the same time so we had to wait a bit for a to go box and our dessert, but the vibe was great so we didn't mind too much. Had great recommendations, and the crayons and coloring papers are an excellent touch. Ambiance (5/5) - They really got me here. First place i've been ever that nails "moody lighting, classy, upscale decor, fancy interior design, beautiful open kitchen and bar design", but then the servers are wearing t shirts and there's takeout boxes piled high everywhere like i'm at a local pizzeria for the "casual" vibe. really seals the deal for a good time for any occasion it seems. Love this place!

Beverly Hills outpost of popular LA restaurant. Came here with my family and cousins, and had a table of 8 reserved. They wouldn't seat us earlier so we hung outside while waiting. Indoor and outdoor space available but the place is pretty small. They have takeout/delivery as well. I had the spicy rigatoni which is super popular, and I liked it. I think the pizzas are actually more bang for your buck, and can easily be shared. I liked that they had place settings that you could color in with the crayons provided, so you can indulge your inner child. Service was polite and the food came out as it's ready, so the pastas came out way before the pizzas.

I went for lunch on a Monday and service was relatively fast. There were only a few parties in the restaurant, so we decided to sit outside. The food comes out as it's ready, so don't expect to eat as a group. Luckily, we were sharing so it worked for us. The Brooklyn dodger is a simple pizza but good. The vodka pasta is cooked well and a tad al dente.

dined in for the first time for my friend's birthday and we were able to reserve a table for a party of 8 which was nice to sit all together! i'm actually quite surprised about their rating on yelp for almost all locations, but my friends and i had an overall good experience. the place feels more intimate with the dimmed lighting and it's a smaller establishment. all the pastas and pizza we tried were good, however portions are pretty small (except the pizza), especially for the price. each plate of pasta is almost $30 and personally, the only pasta that really seemed special or wowed me was the corn agnolotti. dessert was okay too, nothing too special about the cookies; even though we originally ordered the matcha affogato but they didn't have it so they gave us cookies on the house instead which was nice of them. but the double chocolate cake was definitely a dessert for EXTREME chocolate lovers, it was super rich and decadent and a bit too sweet for my tastebuds but my friends enjoyed it. overall food was definitely good, but a little overpriced and service was nice too, no complaints regarding the service compared to what i've seen from other reviews on here.

My first time at this location. I sat in the patio area. I ordered the Brooklyn dodger pizza, mozzarella sticks and the rainbow cookies. The Brooklyn dodger had mozzarella, garlic and basil. The pizza had a good sauce and crust had a good undercarriage. It was a very good pizza. The mozzarella sticks were okay. I really liked the dipping sauce.I should have ordered a salad instead The rainbow cookies are tiny. Very cute. Reminded me of New York. Overall a solid place.

I've been a consistent customer here and spend a significant amount of money at this restaurant, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I come here often and have always enjoyed it, but my repeated interactions with Illiana, the GM, have completely changed that. Her attitude is consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. There's a clear pattern of her speaking to guests in a condescending way that feels unnecessary and uncomfortable especially coming from someone in a leadership role. It doesn't feel like hospitality at all. On top of that, during my most recent visit, we were pushed toward being seated at a table that was objectively one of the worst in the restaurant despite there being better options available. When we questioned it, the response we received from Illiana was not accommodating or understanding, but instead came across as dismissive and unwilling to help. It felt like we were being treated as an inconvenience rather than valued customers. This isn't a one-time situation either. As someone who comes in regularly, I've tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but it's become clear that this is a pattern of behavior. A general manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant, and unfortunately, the tone here is unwelcoming and unprofessional. It's really disappointing to see a place I've supported so consistently be impacted by this kind of leadership. I truly hope ownership takes this seriously, because experiences like this will drive loyal customers away.

Jon & Vinny's has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. I'm so happy that the Beverly Hills location has improved their customer service experience tenfold! What a huge improvement! Everyone from the hostess, server and other wait staff were so attentive and on top of things. A big shout out to Jillian who was our server today. Food was amazing as always! I tend to always order the Rigatoni with bolognese. Wow! It sure hit the spot. My husband had the eggplant parmigiana which was very tasty. I've been to the Fairfax, Brentwood, & Studio City locations which are all consistently good! Each restaurant is a bit different in design.

Good food, salad was the highlight of everything I had. Seating took so long. We arrived and told it would be approx. 40 min wait time and we waited for over an hour. They had many empty tables but some were for reservations. Pasta was good, chicken cutlet was good as well, my favorite dish of the night was the salad. Once seated, service was great. Our waiter was super attentive and had great recommendations. We will be back but will make sure to make a reservation!

My group went on a busy Friday night and despite showing up about 30 minutes before our reservation, we were seated right away. We ordered SO MUCH food, from pizzas to pastas to mozzarella sticks, so the staff bringing plates out as soon as they're ready instead of all at once worked out. We didn't have a ton of room at the table so the wait staff clearing plates out as soon as we were finished with each dish was very convenient. The food was very good, it reminded me of a quality Italian restaurant in Brooklyn I've been to before. Highly recommend.

While I am a big fan of evolved dishes that are novel and fresh, I have always loved old fashioned, genuine (as in the way they are made in the Old Country) Italian food. Il Pastaio does not disappoint in that respect. I have spent enough time all over Italy, and am part Italian myself, to judge this place a must-try in Los Angeles. We rarely venture into Beverly Hills given what used to be a difficult parking situation. Not with Il Pastaio -- there is free public garage parking almost across the street. If you visit on a Sunday afternoon, you will find a spot effortlessly and you will avoid the crowds. That said, when we arrived around 1:30, Il Pastaio was packed, inside and out. Thankfully we had a reservation and they ushered us to the perfect table, inside (where I preferred to be on a sunny, cool but windy day), next to a bright (and spotless) window. I think there are people who prefer to be on the sidewalk in BH, so they can look for the cognoscenti and affluenti, LOL, but, I don't need to do that -- seen and been seen enough in my long life! Our table was perfect. View my photos. I love the vibe inside. Again, I can happily report, Il Pastaio reminds me of all the fine, small, and exquisite restaurants I frequented in Rome, Florence, and Milan, to name the biggies. The menu is extensive, and even though I had studied it beforehand on their website, it took me at least ten minutes to narrow down all the wonderful vegetarian dishes from which to choose. My photos show which were the lucky winners. There are meat dishes in abundance but, here's the open secret, Italians themselves are not avid meat eaters and all the portions abroad are small, hence multiple courses and few people eat too much at a meal. Lunch and dinner are also leisurely over there because Europeans see a meal as an event, not a blip in their day. The service was flawless, with our Italian waiter, Filippo, treating us as if we were Re Umberto and Regina Margherita. The table was very pretty and there was bespoke olive oil and vinegar ready for dipping the homemade bread that is served steaming in a napkined basket. I could smell it through the entire meal. Even the water came from Italy. Each course we chose came to the table at the perfect temperature, beautifully plated, and the previous were whisked away efficiently as soon as we were finished, as if by magic. All in all, this is a superb Italian restaurant. Fresh and new but traditional and comforting in its familiarity. I know we will return. Molto ben fatto, Signore Drago!

My reason for the three stars was the service. We did choose a later reservation time but I wish they just didn't have the reservation if they don't want to be there late. It took 25 minutes after us sitting for a server to ask what we wanted to drink. It was not busy maybe three other tables outdoor only the inside was closed. When our waiter was at the table he was annoyed at our questions regarding the tasting menu. It really made us feel awkward and dampered our whole experience which was really unfortunate because we loved the food and it was our last night in LA. I'd say make an earlier reservation maybe to receive better service. Also the espresso martini was disappointing it had ice and was very watered down. I'll end on a positive note that the Branzino was amazing. Everything on the dish tasted fresh. The burrata was also a hit for the whole table

There are other locations but this I think was the first one and since it was the one I frequented it's the one I will miss. I have so many fond memories of this restaurant. I came here as a little girl with my family because it was casual enough for a well mannered child but fancy enough to please the adults. One time I decided to get into shape. Every time someone asked me out for lunch or dinner I said I wanted to go to Il Fornaio. I would order a bowl of the vegetable soup or vegetarian soup of the day and the Regina Salad. The salad did wild arugula, couscous, avocado, red onions, capers, raisins, and lemon oil dressing. It was a fabulous and filling meal that also kept me skinny. I could honestly eat it every day and never get bored. During Covid I came here and we ate outside on the sidewalk. We enjoyed watching the pedestrian scene and "staying safe" while being able to eat out again. I really missed going out and I felt comfortable here which was important during Covid time. Every Halloween Il Fornaio would have 1/2 price pizza. My family made a tradition to order it. I LOVED this tradition and I'm going to miss it this Halloween. Their pizza was delicious. One time I came here with a boyfriend because they had a cooking class in the back. They had a huge entertainment room in the back of the restaurant. I wish I had a chance to have a special event here to rent it out. We had so much fun as we watched the chef talk about how to prepare each dish and what was even better is that we got to taste it in the end. We ate seabass with golden raisins, baked pasta with eggplant, and a cannoli for dessert. They even had a party souvenir which was an Il Fornaio plate to hang on the wall. Last time I came here was on the Fourth of July last year. It was also dine-la and they had the best deal of any of the dine-la restaurants. Not all the dine-la deals are good but this one truly was one of the best in terms of value for money. It was a three course meal with the most delicious fish entree. Who doesn't love a good deal? We had a fabulous time! Lastly, in recent years they added a happy hour menu to the restaurant and it was fabulous. I did another review on that so I'll keep it short here but the food and drinks were just wonderful. I will miss the friendly waiters who have been there forever. They don't make them like that anymore. Arrivederci to a true "classic"!

We were greeted by a server who brought water, and once we were settled, I tried to politely get someone's attention. Instead, I got an eye roll, followed by him pretending not to see me and walking away. Someone else at our table then raised their hand, same response: another eye roll. He eventually came over, but the attitude was... unnecessary. All we wanted was to order a single drink for the birthday girl. Mind you, the rush was over. I believe he may have been a busser rather than server. The time it took to roll his eyes.. twice.. he could have easily grabbed our server instead. Not sure why he wouldn't support his team.. The lack of basic courtesy stood out more than it should have.

There are a lot of pretentious cocktail bars these days with "technique" and interesting ingredients, but falls short in flavor and execution. Dante is not one of those bars. It's the opposite. Seemingly simple and fresh drinks ended up being cocktails that were all mind blowing. 10/10 would recommend to impress friends who like cocktails

I can definitely recommend the grilled octopus, rigatoni pasta, and hamachi crudo. Service was also amazing! Parking is tough; I recommend you valet. Overall, they had a great cocktail menu. My sister and I came in without reservations around 8pm and they sat us inside on the counter after 10 minutes of waiting. They were pretty full for table dining. We ordered: Steak Tartare (4/5) - Bread was perfectly oiled & crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. The tonnato was very umami and made the dish but the steak itself was alright. Spicy Pomodoro (3.5/5) - This didn't hit as hard for me; I wished it was more spicy and I didn't taste any truffle. Pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Sweet Corn Agnolotti (5/5) - This was delish! Make sure to get equal parts of the pasta, sauce, corn, and crème fraiche (like a light sour cream) to get that flavor explosion. Creme was a little sour, corn was sweet, and the agnolotti was salty; perfect bite fr. My only negative is that this dish was too small for $28 :(. Blood Orange Pavlova (4/5) - A truly layered dessert because if you ate the sorbet by itself, it would be too sour but otherwise, another flavor explosion. The pavlova was thick and you really have to jam your spoon in to break the pieces apart. Service was friendly and fast! Overall, I'd come back!

On the spot accommodations : our options were to stay now or hit the road as they were fully booked for the evening. We stayed. And happy we did. From the moment we met the terrific hostess, we knew we had the right spot. A super busy Thursday early eve with 2 private parties happening, one of them on the rooftop area which would've been a nice place to visit. We started with the fried squash blossoms which were stoopid good! Next, a killer "amalfitana pizza" with meyer lemon and basil. A pasta dish entree: "spaghettone alla norma" with eggplant followed up with the swordfish: "pesce spade alla ghioatta". The pasta was a bit salty and for some reason the fish came out way late, maybe 40 minutes later than it should've and it wasn't really spectacular. However, the ambience, the setting, and the top-notch phenomenal service is worth the experience. A bit pricey, but after all, you're dining in Beverly Hills. We were too full to take advantage of the dessert menu, but our kind excellent waiter brought us some treats, a very nice pleasing gesture. Parking is pretty cool, valet parking right next-door only $15 plus tip. We certainly will be back, thank you nice people!

The experience did not disappoint -- it was beautiful from beginning to end. Our extraordinary server was James. He was engaging, attentive and unpretentious. His knowledge of the menu was impressive as he explained each section and item in a simplified way. After making our choices, he suggested changing one of our pasta selections since they all had heavy sauces. We accepted his recommendation of the Spaghetti Arrabbiata, which turned out to be everyone's favorite! The tomato-based sauce was light and perfectly spicy. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was amazing. The focaccia, oxtail meatballs and burrata with ham were a great start, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and thoughtful preparations -- they set the tone for our entire meal. The taste and texture of the freshly made pastas were unmistakable and so, so good with the wonderful sauces. The lamb chops were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the bed of sliced snow peas, green beans and English peas set over mint sauce. After all that, we had just enough room for shared desserts -- Budino and Tiramisu. Both were the perfect finish to a delicious meal. If you like chocolate, the Budino is for you -- rich but not overly sweet. Each yummy bite with the crumble topping was nicely balanced by the sprinkled salt. Service was impeccable and well-coordinated. We especially appreciated that dishes and utensils were changed after each course. A couple things to keep in mind: *Reservations - Via Resy. The reservation window is open 14 days at a time. *Parking - Valet is right in front. We found street parking just around the corner on Sunset (metered but free after 7pm). *Price Point - Approximately $100 per person. Mother Wolf is a cashless establishment. A 5% wellness fee is added to all checks. We will absolutely be back!
