Still one of my LA favorites and highly recommended pizza parlors. Came in yesterday to pick up two pies to go. Always good pizza and friendly customer service.

There's a lot to like about upper crust... thin crispy crust, not salt, tasty pizza. Service was fast and friendly for pick up. However, they were light on the toppings, and we the 2 of us were still hungry after eating a large.

We stopped by Upper Crust Pizzeria to pick up some pizza to-go. Love the double entendre name. The place is pretty cute and there are some tables and chairs to sit at if you want to eat there. They have an open kitchen which I always appreciate. You order up at the counter when you walk in. The pizza slices are not on display which is a little strange. They do have a water dispenser at the register which is a nice touch. They also have a rewards program. We ordered some slices of margarita and a slice of cheese to go. After waiting just a few minutes, I decided to get a second slice of cheese to-go. We waited a very long time to get our order. The people behind us in line, who were eating in, received their pizzas before us. We were first in line when we walked in so it wasn't like we were waiting for someone else. We had to go feed the meter a few times. When I asked what was taking so long and why the people behind us were served first, we were told that it was because I came back and ordered a second slice of cheese. In my humble opinion, a slice of pizza should only take a few minutes to warm and pack unless they were making it from scratch which I doubt was the case here especially with the cheese slice. I've never had this experience before at a pizza shop. I will say that the cashier did make it up to us by giving us an extra slice of cheese to go. The slices of pizza were generous. The toppings tasted very fresh. I appreciate that they use ingredients that are never canned or frozen. The sauce was tasty. However, I did not care for the dough. It's a thin crust but it was very chewy. I prefer a crispy, crunchy thin crust pizza. My pizza was also lukewarm which was strange as I did not have far to travel and we ate it right away. I'm glad I gave Upper Crust Pizzeria a try but I did not feel like I got an "upper crust" experience here. Metered parking on the street.

Selling by slice. I got a cheese slice - the portion is huge, crispy dough, ingredients are well balanced. The taste was good, nothing mind blowing. A solid slice. $5.20 for a slice in BH / give me 2! Service was friendly and fast. They play some music, interior is cool. Recommended

Pizza was okay, I was expecting a little more from this place in regard to their pizza. It was burnt on the crust which is always my favorite part. The red sauce tasted unseasoned as well :(. Staff was very nice and the pizza does look good just was a huge let down.

Pizza was good and toppings were generous! Wouldn't say it's the best pizza I've had but will likely be back since it's close to home and service was quick

We stopped by after visiting the observatory. We ordered a large and medium pizza and the large was absolutely huge. I felt bad leaving all of that great pizza behind but since we still had a lot of stuff to do that day. The pizza was excellent; fresh toppings and great crust. The middle of the large was a little floppy because it was so massive. That one had to be eaten with a fork and knife.

Had to try some local pizza and got a big slice of cheese. It was definitely NY style you had to fold it to eat it and the flavor was right on. Cooked nice and crunchy for the crust it was good! 3.95 for the cheese slice isn't too bad either. Staff was very friendly and there is tables both indoor and out front. Parking might be a little more challenging with how busy the whole neighborhood is.

I ordered delivery, to their credit it was about 20 minutes before closing so I understand how that might be frustrating but the pizza lacked love. First I paid for extra cheese and I can say that it did not at all have extra cheese. Next the pizza could have been cooked a minute longer give it that crust and no flop. The pizza is thin crust. I was not a fan of the dough or the pizza sauce but they had great quality cheese that was not oily or heavy. That part was great. I also ordered some chicken fingers. Nothing to rave about, I wouldn't try that again. Ultimately I'll give this place one more shot.

This is my new favorite place for pizza! I came here by accident because I usually go to Urth Caffe next door and decided to give it a try. The slices are so good -- very thin crust pizza that rivals my usual NY-style go-to places around LA. They state that they make their pizza with fresh, never frozen ingredients and I have to say the freshness and flavor are noticeable. Love the taste of the crispy crust, the delicious tomato sauce and the nice saltiness of the real cheese on top. They sell whole pies, but I love getting slices here for only around $4 each. I can't wait to try their wings because they're all baked! This is rare as usually wings are fried and I love that this is a healthier option that also looks delicious. They're open late (especially for Beverly Hills), have great friendly customer service, and a clean women's bathroom!

The restaurant itself has plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor options as well. I was particularly impressed by the menu, which has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegan diets and a great selection of salads. It was busy, so I assumed the food had to be good. Indoor and outdoor seating is available; parking can be difficult as there is a lot of restricted parking. Orders are placed at the cashier, who appeared completely unenthusiastic. A table number is assigned, and the food is delivered to your table. Unfortunatly the servers seemed just as disengaged as the cashier which made it feel as though no one working there was happy to be there. The overall energy of the restaurant felt negative and unwelcoming, which definitely affected the dining experience. The table we chose had not been properly wiped down and was sticky from the previous guests breakfast. We also noticed syrup on our chairs before sitting down. We asked one of the servers to clean it, which they did, but both the table and chairs were left soaking wet afterward. We ended up finding paper towels ourselves just to dry everything off. Also, both our chairs had cracks! I decided to overlook all of that and focus on enjoying the meal, especialy since the food behind the vitrine looked scrumptious. My friend ordered the lox plate and I ordered the breakfast sandwich. The onions on the lox plate were old and dry, while the salmon itself was overly oily and heavy. The portions were generous and the bagel looked fresh and appealing. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with poached eggs, cheese, and Tennessee ham served on a biscuit. Unfortunately, the biscuit was extremely dry, making each bite difficult to chew and swallow. The ham was thin and fibrous, and the sandwich was so dry and difficult to chew into that I actually chocked on my first bite. I ended up deconstructing the sandwich just to make it edible, but even then, it was difficult to enjoy. Thank goodness we ordered the chocolate chip cookies and monster cookie which were good, but at $4, nothing special. The one highlight of the meal was the lattes, which were very good and served with a proper double shot of espresso. Thank goodness for that otherwise I don't think I would have made it through brunch.

Well, as you all know, nearby is sort of a misnomer when it comes to LA traffic. We made it on time to our reservation at Super Peach. Parking was easy as we used the Westfield structure. We popped up the escalator and Super Peach was right there, so we did not have to search the mall directory. We checked in a couple minutes late but the place was basically empty. We were seated in a booth and given menus. I went to wash my hands and returned to the booth. Our server was Ansley M. The menu is straightforward. It is sort of like a paired down menu compared to Majordomo, which I've frequented in the past. I was interested in the ssam so we ordered the short rib version ($92), along with the Korean fried chicken wings ($19), and the burnt cheesecake ($15)for dessert. The food arrived in spurts and towards the end was a tad slow. We asked for additional lettuce and kimchi. We had to ask for their house citrus ponzu sauce. We should have mentioned up front that we needed to leave by a certain time, but I honestly did not think our lunch would take almost an hour and a half and that it would take us almost 30 minutes to get to our next destination. But I should have known better, having gone to school in LA, that traffic is unpredictable even on weekends. The food was good. My husband really enjoyed the wings. I loved the short rib. The cheesecake was okay and took forever even though we asked to pack it up to go. We paid and left. They do not validate parking which was a bummer. We were told that Gelson's validated parking. We paid $5 in the parking garage. I think I'll use my Chase Sapphire dining credit elsewhere next time.
