Kosher pizza. We've had pizza there a few times. They don't sell slices, just whole pizzas. Once we got a pizza there that was slightly uncooked but still delicious. We ate half of it in the car. The rest we brought home and reheated it, making the crust slightly crispy and really good. Since then, we have tried to recreate the experience by telling them to leave the pizza slightly uncooked. They got a little confused by the request, but they were happy to accommodate us. read more

Nice little storefront. Very popular and friendly. Everything is made to order and they have lots of options. I was thinking about the margarita or the vodka pizza but decided to get some veggies and got the mushroom pizza. The crust is not perfectly New York style. When you happen to drive by, and realize that you're in the mood for pizza...Yummy. This is good thin and crispy pizza. Simple, good NY pie. Def worth the order, I just wish it was little cheaper, but I think everything has just gone up in cost at this point unfortunately. They don't really have much seating space and better to get it to go. Service was quick and courteous. Stumbled upon the 550 Pizza soft opening last night in the strip mall on the corner of W. Pico Blvd. and Glenville Drive. Since this is an Orthodox neighborhood, it was good to see this is a Kosher restaurant, though that means no meat here. I ordered the spicy fusilli (fusilli pasta with spicy pink sauce, mozzarella, basil and parmigiano ($17.95), seasoned fries ($6.75) and a small (10") New York style thin crust mushroom, tomato and spinach pizza ($11.95). Sure, the interior is a work-in-progress (After all, today is their first day!) but the food, which is currently take-out only, was fabulous! The fusilli was rich and spicy, the addictive fries were ample, the reasonably priced pizza was delicious, and I didn't have to cook! There are 550 reasons to try this new pizza place. read more

The pizza quality is stellar and blessed of Adonai since the operators honor the Sabbath. I've always loved pizza, and though it usually hurts my stomach I would still eat it for enjoyment. That wasn't a deal breaker because I ordered the Mushroom pizza. The large pizza was more than $40 with no meat. I thought based on the reviews it must be a pretty good pie to charge that much for a pizza with mushrooms. Wrong- I was severely disappointed. The best pizza we've had in LA. They have excellent toppings - vodka and arugula, which we never tire of. The fusilli pastas were surprisingly good - better than most fine-dining kosher restaurants in LA. The pasta was al dente. The Alfredo didn't get boring.
