Ordered the BBQ sandwich and it was very good. The coleslaw was excellent and I am not a big fan of coleslaw. Young man working the counter was very nice. I will definitely come back.

SCHWARTZ DELI & BBQ!!! Exciting stuff! They are now in the soft opening phase but they're already hitting it out of the park. They are going for an old-school deli as well as authentic barbecue. They are still tweaking stuff but as far as I'm concerned they got the brisket on point. I got it in a sandwich and it was fantastic. Juicy with that great smoky flavor, and wow do they pack it on. That's what I'm talking about! Talking about packing it on, check out the pastrami. We're talking old-school, overstuffed, like I haven't seen in I don't know how long. It's a true old-school New York deli experience. This is hand carved with love. Nothing shrink-wrapped here, but brined and prepared in-house. It was fantastic even though it was on the lean side and they say they're working on a fattier naval pastrami which, I'm telling you now, is going to be off da hook! If you want to stay on the healthy side but still want good barbecue, check out their cauliflower steak with pulled beef. Very nice! You've got some great apps inside as well, such as very flavorful fire poppers with both a great herb blend on the coating as well as a great sauce. I always say, if a place makes their own onion rings you've got to get them, and these do not disappoint. You're also going to want to try their pulled beef and pastrami egg rolls. So that's it for now but I can't wait to go back to try the real stuff such as the Dinoribs, lamb etc. Stay tuned! They are now open from 12-8PM. 8820 West Pico Blvd. Check it out!

THIS IS COMPLETELY ACCURATE AND THEN SOME!!!! Yesterday, even though it was almost noon, I took a chance I might pick up a Jackson Avenue Club in a spinach wrap. Besides buying pizzas by Drew Butler, this sandwich wrap is my "go to " every time! Sooo delicious. I was in and out very quickly. I really love my experience every time! I went up to him and asked him if there was a restroom and he looked up and said yes. And then kept working to make the pizza and said nothing else. I decided to wait a minute or two for him to finish up so not to bother him while working so I just stood there for some time right in front of him and when he was done making the pizza. I asked him "excuse me, do you know where the restroom is?". He knew I was waiting there right in front of him the whole time and knew that he was ignoring me. And he outright yelled and said "what's the magic word??" With this angry and annoyed look on his face... I was shaken up and said "where is the restroom please?" And he told me where in the most annoyed voice. And I said thank you and left. This is the most unprofessional the outright rude way I have ever been spoken to. And this really puts a sour taste to me mouth about a place that would hire someone like that.

I got the chai latte and a hummus bowl with falafel (though as I write this I can't remember if that was the actual menu name of the dish). It was delicious--the falafel was one of the best I've ever had taste wise, and a bit on the airy side instead of being super dense, which I appreciated. Sometimes falafel is too dang dry, and they really got it right. The hummus was phenomenal. I'm really such a sucker for a good, quality hummus and it was so creamy and the oil they topped it with was wonderful too. The veggies were fresh and the pita was such a star: it was thick and chewy and clearly freshly made. Immediate 5 star for the food. So glad I stopped by here and will definitely be back!

You read it currently. Not a mini bites tasting menu that still leaves you hungry after messes. It's a generously portioned full size EATING MENU fit for true foodies!!! An AYCE for 2 hours at Vesti's counter, Chef prepared, right in front of your eyes. Like an Omakase but a million times better, with imported, high quality ingredients and you can even ask for seconds if you really really love any course. Trust me, you will be FULLY stuffed! ($45) Aqua Best Ossetra Caviar! #iykyk Next, we had the most delicate and superbly balanced Ōra King Salmon w/ cucumber granita, trout roe & pickles. Mmmmm.... I got to chat and talk FOOD with Chef Adam and Chef Shane as well as Jorge and Tony -- honestly that was the highlight of the whole Eating Menu experience. The courses kept coming, as soon as we finish one dish, another one pops up! Delicious Nduja sausage in toasted homemade focaccia, super crispy vodka beer-battered wings, Nduja croquettes & Nona's Balls, to-die-for Zoe's crispy fried mortadella sandwich, made-to-order artisan pizza... we were so stuffed! As the place filled up, I noticed the noise level rising, but it never became a real problem. I like it when there is an open kitchen. Our server was cordial and took our order right away, but she never came back to check on us. At the end of the meal, we had to flag her down to get a to-go box and the check. Overall, the service was good but not great. I had the pizza, and my friend had the chicken and waffles. I was surprised by the portions, which were more than generous. The chicken and waffles was a piece of art and is probably one of the better versions we've had in Los Angeles. The pizza looked great, but when I picked it up, it was soggy and all the toppings slid off. I ended up having to eat it with a knife and fork. The flavor was good, but I think I would order something else next time.

This location on Wilshire Blvd in Koreatown is the smallest of the three I've visited, with under 10 seats available. It's a compact shop, and most customers opt for takeout. It's a narrow shop, and most customers take their orders to-go. I've previously enjoyed the La Paradiso and La Toscana, with the La Paradiso being my personal favorite. For our first visit with our son, we asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested either the Venice Beach (Turkey) or the New Yorker (Roast Beef). The staff was incredibly generous, offering a roast beef sample, which our son loved! We also appreciated them providing ice and straws for our water. We ordered the New Yorker ($19.00) with roast beef, porcini cream, tomato, and arugula. The sandwich was thoughtfully cut in half, perfect for sharing. The schiacciata bread boasts a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior, which beautifully complements the meats and cheeses. We opted to substitute the porcini cream for mozzarella, which was sliced into perfect bite-sized pieces and tasted incredibly fresh. The roast beef was thinly sliced and tender, the tomatoes were fresh and sliced to perfection, and the arugula added a delightful peppery crunch. It's a well-balanced sandwich and one of the best in LA. We would definitely order it again. A big thank you to the female staff member who expertly cut the meat and offered samples, assisting us in making the perfect choice for my son's sandwich. This experience was truly a positive one for our family. I would definitely return to AAV for the excellent food and service.
