But as the blind taste tests on YouTube and my recent experience attest to, it has now bested its competitors and has truly gone beyond its cultish following among the Filipino community to become mainstream. Every time I drive to San Diego this tends to be one of my rest stops. Its pretty clean and there's plenty of seating. The parking situation is nice too. My favorite item on the menu here has to be the Burger Steak Meal and then I buy a side order of fries to place into it. read more

I placed a delivery order on the Yelp app for 12pm, and I called around 12:30 to get an update on my status, and the employee said that my food had been completed 30 minutes ago but the driver never came to pick it up. I love Jollibee chicken it's absolutely my favorite fast food chicken joint. I have tried many menu items but I always come back and get the spicy chickenjoy it is better than the original but sadly it isn't very spicy. Oh boy this chicken brings me so much joy! This is the juiciest crunchiest fried chicken ever. So flavorful and delicious on its own and when dipped with the gravy it is chefs kiss. I also always get a family meal because I want to eat a whole bucket of chicken myself but also I love that I can chose sides and their adobo rice is very flavorful so I always get it as a side. When ranking the sides adobo rice comes in first place, then the mashed potatoes, then the fries (really not that special). The spicy chicken sandwich is good (better than Popeyes for sure). The cheese yumburger is just okay it is a pricey hamburger. The spaghetti is sweet not my cup of tea. The pineapple quencher is way too sweet of a drink. The only downside to this location is sometimes they don't have spicy chicken. At times, I have gone out of the way to drive here and they didn't have spicy chicken available. Then also when I try to order online spicy chicken is never available. Also once when I ordered in store they told me they had spicy chicken but it ended up being a 30 min wait for it. Chicken was good. Very crispy skin. The spicy definitely has some kick. The spiciness is injected into the chicken...not just on the skin. Not sure how I've never had fried chicken with gravy...so good. Spaghetti was ok. I get the appeal but not sure i like my spaghetti sweet. It tasted like it was a bbq based sauce. I did like how you could taste the meat in the sauce. I think having as a side with the chicken is good...I could not have a full plate of it. The pies...I preferred the ube over the mango peach since it was a much more subtle sweetness. Pineapple quencher is a must have. Some might say it is just pineapple juice, but there is something about having it as part of this meal. Would I go out of my way to get this...probably not. If i had a choice between this and Korean fried chicken (like BBQ Chicken), I'm going BBQ. But, I will say I'd get this over Popeyes or KFC for sure. My boyfriend and I went through the drive thru here for a "light" lunch. This was my boyfriend's first time at Jollibee and he really wanted to try the spaghetti. I was excited to see him try it because it's not your traditional bowl of pasta, with hotdogs, sweet sauce and neon yellow cheese. The drive thru was kinda crowded, but it moved fast. The speaker was a little muffled and it was a little difficult to understand the employee at first. We got the family pack spaghetti and a pineapple quencher. We received our food quickly and it stayed hot on the way home. I loved their quencher, it was super refreshing and fruity. The spaghetti was delicious, both salty and sweet. My boyfriend really enjoyed it and he said it reminded him of Campbell's spaghetti o's in a good nostalgic way. It's pretty much a more homemade version of that. We ordered on the app and we waited for awhile in the parking lot for our food for almost an hour. It's a thanksgiving day and these guys are working hard. We understand it's busy but we wish the app online ordering will be functioning properly (Like it did before). On the app our order said it's ready but it was not when we arrived. This was the 2nd time it happened and we had to cancel our order because we wouldn't wait 55 mins. After seeing all the hype, I had to try it. The chicken was ok and the gravy was just like any other gravy. The spaghetti taste like the SpaghettiOs from a can. That was a hard pass for me. Sadly, there was no spicy chicken, something I ought to have assumed given how slammed the place was with the line growing larger by the minute. My order was forgotten TWICE. One of the front of house employees handing out orders asked for and took my receipt once I brought this to their attention as individuals who ordered well beyond me began to get their order. Although he assured me that it would be rushed out right away - something I saw him visually communicate to his manager - i quickly realized as others continued to get their order that yet again, my order had been neglected. Surprisingly enough, it was one of the trainees who noticed my discontent and asked how he could help me. He went out of his way to hand deliver my order, even stepping into and in front of his manager to let her know that I had been waiting for over 40 minutes for my order. As if to pour salt on the wound, I realized upon driving off that my "large sides" were actually small. I haven't had Jollibee's in a hot minute since moving out to OC so I was honestly excited to finally get it again yesterday. I usually would frequent the Rancho Cucamonga location that's located within a Seafood City so it was different finding a stand alone Jollibee out here in Anaheim. The restaurant is pretty big actually, they offer a lot of seating for their customers which is nice. I love the huge jolli bee statue in the front too. Cute for taking pics! When I got there they had a few customers waiting to get their food and only one person in line so we got to order pretty quickly. The gentleman taking our order was clearly new so he was a tad slow with getting everything down but we understood why. This particular location does have a Red Ribbon bakery attached to it so it's perfect to go get some snacks or dessert while you wait for your food to be ready. They were actually pretty quick with getting our order out but I did see upon walking in that they were fully stocked on their chicken so that's probably why. I must say their chicken at this location is much bigger than the Rancho location. By a lot! The pieces that I had were nice and crunchy. I personally like the spicy flavor, adds a nice kick to it. The chicken paired with rice and a heaping of they gravy sauce is so delicious! It's my favorite meal at Jollibee. I did end up trying their Aloha burger for the first time and honestly I'd probably skip it next time. The quality of the meat patty was a bit odd. Not sure what they use but it wasn't really what I was expecting. I think next time I'll have to see how their spaghetti is because that was also a favorite of mine at the Rancho location. I'm giving 4 stars because I did enjoy their chicken, rice and gravy! I'll have to come back to try more of their menu. P.S. - Don't forget to order their Pineapple quencher!
