Be aware this is not another chop shop mani/pedi place. Jolanta and Kateryna are masters of what they do and you will rightfully so pay for their skill. Kateryna did my pedi this time and I will be going to her as long as I/her are in the area. For me to be impressed with a manicure as an European is huge because Russian pedicures have been a standard thing over there for a long time. She has spent good 45+ minutes taking care of cuticles, calluses and ingrown nails. This is a pedicure that takes good 1,5 hours of detailed skilled work and yes it's pricey but for the quality that you get not really honestly. I have also been to other popular Russian style pedicure/manicure places in the area but Kateryna is the best, Jolanta is awesome too. read more

I had a "destination wedding" and since I rarely get my nails done by anyone else here in San Francisco, I was very particular in searching for options in the Oceanside area. I came across Jolanta on Yelp and after reviewing her work, made an appointment for a mani pedi 3 days before my wedding. Her studio is in her home, which I didn't realize, but it's a really beautiful, clean, and relaxing space. I got settled, we talked about what I was looking for, and then she got to work. This was my first russian manicure so it was interesting to watch. My appointment took about 2 hours, so do keep that in mind. Based on other salons I've been in, she doesn't have a very expansive range of colors and shades, but I was looking to keep things fairly neutral so that wasn't a problem for me. When I left, I realized that the cat eye effect on one of my nails was matted, but it wasn't enough for me to go back and ask for anything to be done about it. I was hopeful that the gel base would extend the life of my manicure more than my usual (2.5 - 3 weeks), but I got a solid 2 weeks out of them before they started to show signs of chipping. She's more expensive than my go-to place in SF, but if it's in your budget or if you're looking for "special occasion" nails, I'd definitely recommend her. read more
