Called to schedule a next-day oil change. They were able to fit me in for the afternoon. They…read morecalled back to let me know it would take 1.5 hours. I showed up and had to park in the convenience store parking lot next door, because it looked like a pretty tight lot. They said that was no problem. I sat and looked at my phnoe for a little bit until the battery almost died (it was alrfeady low when I got there). They had charging cords on the coffee table with adapters for every phone. I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.

After stellar Yelp reviews (4 plus) guided us to AMC, paid over $3000 (for a broken serpentine…read morebelt, AC belts, new radiator etc., with all parts warranted per AMC). Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.

Came back with good and bad news. Good: Don't need transmission work. Bad: Need motor mounts and replacement of air intake hose. I'm convinced if I had taken it to a les experienced shop I would be looking at a new or rebuilt transmission. Offered to pay for the diagnosis but he declined to accept anything. Fantastic place to take your car for tranny problems.

Back story, I went to Firestone in December for a tire change and received excellent service. So…read morewhen my check engine light came on the next month I decided to take my services back to Firestone. Horrible idea. They did a 'diagnostic assessment' on my car and told me I had a transmission issue that couldn't be fixed there since they don't do transmission work but couldn't tell me anything else (not even how they determined this). Couldn't even assist with local recommendations of who could possibly assist. So I paid $123 dollars for them to give me false information about my car. Now, although with 22 reviews (at the time of this review), I went to this shop and Paul told me that MY TRANSMISSION IS FINE and it was a cooler leak and fixed it in no time with the best price (Thank you Jesus!) The receptionist said he's been specializing in transmission work for over 45 years and I believe it.

I know you're super-busy and my car was returned to me a little dusty, so I shouldn't have been so critical. A few weeks ago I gave an unfair review. it turns out I was mistaken on a couple things and I gave them a poor review saying that they didn't take good care of my Mazda-5. They actually had the best prices compared to 2 other shops and I got my car back quickly. My mistake was that I had my car looked at 2 other shops and at one of them, they broke the panel on the driver's side and the engine cover was left off so I assumed it was Transmission Factory---I was totally ticked-off at the wrong guys. i APOLOGIZE GUYS. You did good work. My wife and I are grateful. 4-Stars! I will definitely bring my car back for future work!

When I picked my truck up, I noticed a leak before I drove off. They put it on the lift and fixed the leak. Driving home that night hard shift on the same gears and the same code. Took it back. After a few days they said it's fixed. Two days later same issue. Took it back again and after a few days they returned the truck. This time it was fixed. I finally parked in my driveway way after having it for a couple weeks and noticed it was leaking. Took it back and they didn't have time to look at it. They sent me down to their sister shop and they said it was a gasket leak. It was a small leak and I every time it's in their shop it's 3-4 days. I missed enough work, decided to wait until I needed to service and fix it myself. I found a random 12mm bolt in one hole and my pan was damaged on the lip. No wonder it was leaking. Whatever tech worked on my truck definitely had the " that's the next guys problem" attitude.

Customer beware of this repair shop and AAA Corporate Support…read more Our vehicle died while traveling through Phoenix from out of town. We had it towed to this repair shop specifically because we believed an AAA Corporate-Owned Repair Center would provide reliable service. Their diagnosis was that the transmission needed to be replaced. We authorized the expensive purchase and installation of a "New Dealer Transmission with a 1 Year, 12K Mile Warranty." Fast-forward "15 months and 12,196 miles", and a loud noise suddenly developed while driving. Three local independent shops inspected the vehicle and identified the transmission as the source of the problem. The same major repair we had just paid for was failing again. AAA Auto Repair Center in Phoenix told me the repair was out of warranty and that any further repairs were entirely my responsibility. I escalated to AAA Customer Support and after multiple inquiries, received the same answer. I understand that it was 3 months and 196 miles out of warranty by the letter of the paperwork. But that is far from the level of customer support I expect as a long-time AAA member on such an expensive repair. AAA certainly has the buying power with the dealer/manufacturer to stand behind a brand new transmission that is "just barely" out of warranty, right? I'm sure AAA can appreciate how frustrating this is for a loyal customer. I chose a AAA-owned repair center (not just certified/recommended, but an actual shop owned by AAA) expecting quality service and accountability. Instead, zero responsibility taken by the shop or AAA Corporate. Furthermore, the local shop we hired now the second time around provided a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty to rebuild it. Buyer beware.

We had our 2016 Dodge Journey towed to this place due to overheating…read more The cost to fix the overheating issue came to 1741.52. (see pics) As soon as we got home, the car overheated, and fluid came pouring out of the bottom and engine. We had to have it towed back, and was now informed that the it would have to be fixed again plus there would be added on charges to get a new head gasket, and have it sent to a machine shop. The second bill was now going to be 5132.59. So they charged us again for the first repair they messed up, and now charged a lot more for the 2nd repair which most likely caused the other components to fail from the 1st repair overheating. They should have honored the warranty from the 1st repair, as the overheating happened again. After getting the vehicle back home from the 2nd repair, the engine was Loud. Come to find out that the Exhaust Manifold was cracked. The car had no exhaust manifold issues when we had it towed there, so something happened while it was in their shop causing it to crack. They now said if we wanted to get it fixed, it would cost 1042.15. They broke it, but expect us to pay to fix it ?? Contacted Member Relations to file a formal complaint and request for re-imbursement, but have yet to hear back at all from Member relations, or the Auto repair place service advisor, Barry Blatman....Have made daily calls and keep getting told to expect a response back by email or phone, but nothing in over a week.
