Brought my Camry in to see what was wrong with my brakes after having taken it to the dealer AND my personal mechanic. They took the car right away and it was a quick fix that other mechanics didn't seem to be able to handle!

This is a no-fuss auto place! It's my 2nd time here and I simply called about my Honda issues and both time I got sane day service. The owner, Don, tells me to just bring it by. I paid $50 to fix my connector to my right headlight (my lights were fine). Seems good to me, as he is no fuss, doesn't sell you more than you need. The interior/exterior is no fuss too. I've only gotten an oil change and connector fixed here but I'm happy with it. When I inquired about the connector, he had me come to my car and showed me the damage. It was nice to have that confirmation and know that I wasn't getting scammed but rather good customer service! This place is close to my work and I'm outgoing enough to ask questions but he doesn't give much info unless you ask.

They broke my car while I had it in there to be fixed. Then wanted to charge me more money(nearly 1000$)! Absolutely not going back.

Thanks to Thad and the crew at the Grease Monkey on Bell for making my first AZ automotive…read moreexperience a good one! I've had the same mechanic for about 30 years (a family owned & operated shop in WA), and the thought of going somewhere else petrified me. I really needed an oil change and tire rotation and chose Grease Monkey on Bell based on Google & Yelp reviews. I was greeted right away, explained what my needs were, and Thad did his best to reassure me that I would be well taken care of, they would show me all parts before replacing, and would not try to upsell me. He also said they have bays in back with mechanics to do other work when I need it. I did need a few other things (rear brake light, wiper blades, cabin filter) and each time someone came in to get my approval. I had no idea my wiper blades would shred in the heat! If it's raining, I'm more likely to be standing outside letting it hit me in the face than going for a drive. They were very patient in getting me every discount they could. Coupon codes from the website AND a senior discount! In and out in less than an hour, including wait time to get my car in the bay. The website did mention a carwash, which they don't have at this location, but that was not a deal breaker at all. I highly recommend this location and will definitely go back when I need anything else done.

I literally feel safe coming here knowing that the mechanics will tell me everything wrong with my vehicle, and what really is important to get done, and what can wait. Experienced customers know car repairs cost, no problem, that's on customer. But employee, Emanuel, made process alot less stressful, with his personable personality. That, plus the comfortable waiting area you guys provide, is key reason why I will continue to refer. Suggestion? My backup repair place, has a popcorn machine, next to the beverages, hint, hint, lol! If you ever expand, into motorcycle repair, I would be your first customer!

On the phone, they said they'd need to look at the vehicle first, that the look was required, but that it was completely FREE of charge. Clear as day. So he drives all the way up there -- his gas, his time -- and suddenly the free look became a $199 "diagnosis" before they'd touch anything. That's a bait and switch, plain and simple. If the phone call had included "it's $199 to look at it," we never would have driven up. That's the whole point of calling ahead. My husband knows his way around vehicles and can do most of this work himself. We were coming to you as a courtesy, being upfront about exactly what we needed, and you wasted our time with a switcheroo the moment he was standing in your lobby. Zero stars for honesty. Zero stars for respecting customers' time. If a shop will bait and switch you on a simple phone call, imagine what they'll do on the big repairs. Take your vehicle somewhere that quotes you the same number on the phone and at the counter.

Kirk, the service manager, has been a big part of why I keep coming back -- he's down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to even when I don't fully understand the technical side of things. I really appreciate their communication process, including texted reports and photos of the work being done. So far, everything they've done has been straightforward and honest. When I've questioned their diagnostics or recommendations, Kirk has taken the time to explain things clearly and has even reached out to Jasper (the company that rebuilt my engine) just to help put my mind at ease. That level of follow-through means a lot, especially after a bad experience elsewhere. My one significant complaint is their shop fees. These charges aren't itemized as a "shop supply fee" or anything specific -- they just appear as a flat fee, and they're not disclosed anywhere in the initial quote. Most shops I've dealt with cap this type of fee around $50, but I was charged $90 on one occasion. Not listing this upfront feels misleading, and I think it's something customers should be made aware of before authorizing work. That said, trust in the actual mechanical work matters a lot to me, and this shop has earned that trust. I'll continue bringing my vehicle here, but I'd strongly encourage them to be more transparent about these fees upfront -- it would go a long way toward making an already good experience a great one.

Let me just say it involved transmission fluid and a leak. Prior to taking the car in, we had called several other auto repair shops and absolutely no one else would touch the car with a 10ft pole. We were told repeatedly to take it to the dealer. The dealer wanted a fortune to fix the issue plus the transmission fluid costs were outrageous in of itself, more than $80.00/quart with us needing at least 6 quarts. These guys took our car in, and despite the repair taking a bit longer than anticipated and being way more involved than they had planned (the car itself is a complete nightmare to work on - can you guess the make?) they honored the original bid. We were truly impressed with their dedication, honestly, professionalism, and their work. These guys are the real deal! We highly and wholeheartedly recommend them and WILL recommend them to friends and family.
