Recently, I had the opportunity to see the estimating and roof work of Johnson Roofing on two Client projects. Both were my Sellers. One knew before we started the sales process, they would have to replace the roof of the detached garage. They had received a recommendation to use Johnson Roofing and after talking to three companies, decided to work with Johnson Roofing. By then we were under contract and I saw the prompt communication they provided to the Seller and updated repair costs due to other minor repairs needed on the main house. They were prompt, made both the repairs and the replacement of the Garage roof on time and cleaned up after their work! They were able to bill the Seller thru Escrow (Since we were under contract) and Provided the Buyer the Warranty after Title paid the bill! Does not get any better than that --- or so I thought! Fast forward a few months and I was under contract with another seller on a home used as a vacation home for 30 years. They had told me they had the roof repaired about 6 years ago when I took the listing, but of course, no one had looked at the roof until that Home Inspector went up there! OH MY!! We had not only a Flat Foam Roof, but had an asphalt shingle pitched roof that was shared with a neighbor and tile trim sections in several spots! This seller also got multiple quotes but it was hard to get anyone to split out the shared roof in their quote and a few roofers would only do one surface, not both types! Tyler made sure we had a quote only for what this seller was responsible for and we helped them reach the neighbor who decided to replace their half too (paid separately!) It was a win-win all around! Again, the Seller was able to pay through Title, Buyer received the Warranty in their name after payment. The work was done on time and quickly due to the closing schedule! They will be on the top of my list to refer to both Buyers and Sellers when needing an honest and reliable roofing company throughout the Valley. I had Tyler (Johnson) come out to my house in North Scottsdale first of the year after heavy rains and a leak was noted in our master bedroom. First encounter with Tyler was good, although it took several attempts to actually get him and his crew on the job. The same area leaked again at the next heavy rains we had several months ago. I called and tried to schedule Tyler not less than 6 times - before he finally sent one of his guys out about 2 month ago who did a cursory inspection - but then no further follow up. I kept calling to see when a crew would be sent out to finish the repairs - but couldn't get any response. I called and called Tyler's cell phone (always went to voice mail) until one day I called from my wife's phone - and he finally answered. He mentioned he was short on staff - guys had been quitting and he was training new people ... blah, blah, blah ... which was his excuse on why he hadn't made it out. He said he had nothing to explain or tell me - that's why he didn't answer his phone or call me back. The roof still has not been touched or repaired. After another half dozen phone calls, messages (virtually all unanswered), multiple missed appointments (he'd set an appointment then not show up) and broken promises to take care of the repairs ... I've still not seen or heard back from Tyler and the roof is untouched. I left him another message several days ago to simply call me if he wasn't interested in the work and I'd find someone else. It's been four days ago - and still nothing from Tyler. I will say that Tyler is a nice guy, personable and I think his work is OK, but in my experience - he has proven to be UNRELIABLE, UNRESPONSIVE and inconsiderate when it comes to keeping his word and appointments. I've already hired a new roofer to handle the repairs. Note - this wasn't about him having to do warranty work - or work for no payment ... we discussed that and I fully agreed I'd pay him an additional amount for the leak fix, since it may have not been caught on the first attempt. read more

We have a vacation home in Chandler, Arizona that needed roof repairs. Our daughter gave us Johnson Roofing as a referral as she had them recently do her roof repairs. They came and gave us an estimate as to the procedures needing to be done and notified us that there may be some additional sheeting that may need to be replaced as they can't see underneath until they expose the roof. They told us they would be coming in on a Monday and it would take them 2-3 days to complete the job. This is exactly what happened. They arrived on Monday and had the complete roof tar paper and sheeting replaced, tile removed and replaced and the job site completely cleaned up. I was not only impressed with the sales rep but also all the workers who manually replaced the roof. The Johnson Roofing Company has a very professional service that worked promptly, are friendly, courteous, and from what it appears are reputable. Being from out the state, it is difficult to find a company that you can trust and know that they will not be taking advantage of you. Things went very well and I was pleasantly impressed with their operations. great staff, great leadership and great workers. Mine was a beat up old roof but they took ownership of the job, completing repairs, reinforcing structures, replacing weak boards, anything that was needed to deliver what they called "A Complete Roofing System". Each of their personnel was a professional in their area and executed their task with great pride in what they were doing. Even the guy who cleaned up did not leave a single scrap shingle behind. Joe prepared a detailed estimate and explained everything that needed to happen to complete the roof job. Joe remained in the loop overseeing the whole job from start to finish. Even though I could talk to any of the crew, having Joe as the main point of contact made getting answers, advice and resolving issues comfortable, quick and painless. We even got a torrential rain within a week of them completing the job and no problems, in fact I discovered that they had fashioned little spouts directing the rain water so I can now catch it in buckets. I had an insurance claim for wind damage for my roof. I called 4 companies for quotes. Charlie with Johnson Roofing was the first to come out. He provided a thorough and itemized estimate of the products being used and the process. He was available via text or phone when I had questions. He came back out to review the completed work and make sure I was a satisfied customer. The other companies were a much higher price and did not provide me with an itemized quote. One company went so far as quoting me one cost to shingle over existing and over $1,000 more to completely remove existing shingles to re-roof. Johnson Roofing was very professional and completed my job in one day. The crew cleaned up the area and took care of any concerns as I reviewed the completed job. Cant say enough good about them.We were in a bind after calling several other companies that would come out and promise a bid and not ever provide one, or would send over a quote that would be for things we did not ask for or need ( we were selling our house and the new buyers requested specific items ). Johnson Roofing came over and scoped out what needed to be done. They caught an additional item on the roof that should have been on the BINSR and included it at no charge. They were able to get the job done on a very short time frame ( read estimate to completion of work 4 days ) and provided pictures of the work before, during and after, which allowed us to not have to have the inspector climb back on our roof. Thanks to Johnson Roofing we are now leak free. Update -- Just had our home inspector check on their repairs and he stated that they were a big more than he had thought was necessary but he thought the price we paid was pretty low for the quality of materials that they used. read more

I requested a check of my roof. Kameron promptly returned my call and drove out to my house. I showed him on the inside of the house where there was a small water stain on my ceiling. He grabbed his ladder and about twenty minutes later knocked on my door. He said that it was fixed. Of course my first question was how much. He showed me his phone and I could see pictures of were he had moved shingles and pointed to a dark spot and said that was where the bird nest was removed. Astonished I couldn't tell him how much I appreciated his honesty. A few hours earlier I had another contractor come out. His mode of operation was much different. He sat down in my lawn chair and proceeded to tell me the roof couldn't be fixed. The tiles were no longer being made. The concrete between the shingles wasn't good. The rest of the roof needed to be replaced as he sat in my lawn chair! Man that was a poor experience and the quote was 20,250! Be ware if the salesman can't get out of the lawn chair! read more

I have worked in the construction business for many years as a design engineer and project manager. Now I am a property owner. I needed a new roof for one of our properties. Like a good project manager I did my research and obtained quotes from contractors that had a background of quality work. Johnson Roofing was the most competitive. They saved us money. Their rep, Charlie, was very responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and did it very quickly. If it was up to Charlie, everything would have happened quicker. It was me who needed more time to review and decide what to do. Charlie was patient and worked with us. There was no sales pressure. They performed the work in a professional manner. Charlie provided pictures to document the stages of the installation. The end result was beautiful. I cannot imagine a contractor doing better. Johnson Roofing is the best! We needed some damaged tiles on our roof repaired before completing a refinance on our home. I contacted Johnson Roofing and they quoted me a great deal of $250 to repair up to 15 tiles. They mentioned they were booked for several weeks out, but if I sent them pictures of my broken tiles, they could create an estimate based on the pictures before scheduling the repair work. I told them I was trying to complete a refinance and this would hold up the appraisal. I asked them if they could do any magic to get me scheduled sooner than weeks away. I received a call back immediately and was told someone would come out to do the work in TWO DAYS!!!! In addition, I live way out in Maricopa which is a longer drive for them. They came out in two days as promised and did a fantastic job on the roof! I am very happy with their great service and will definitely be calling them if I ever need roofing work in the future! read more

My roof was destroyed during the July 2018 storm, as were over twenty other roofs in our park. Because insurance companies were inundated with calls and I didn't have any leaks I waited to get my roof done when the weather was cooler. Johnson Roofing came out and did a fair estimate and they were able to schedule me within a month to get it repaired. I've roofs redone and usually it is a huge mess. Imagine my surprise when they came out and had everything done within two days and it looked like they hadn't even been here. No trash, nails, crushed plants. It was AWESOME. They even painted all the roof paraphernalia (vents, etc) to match the roofing shingles. It looks wonderful! They were very together with notifying me of all the logistics. On April 14th, we had Johnson Roofing come over for a quote as we were in need of a new roof. This was our first of 3 quotes that we received from 3 different companies. Charlie was right on time as scheduled, spent time with us explaining the quote and what would be done and answered all of our questions. He took time to explain everything to us. By the following Thursday, we had all 3 quotes and decided that Johnson Roofing was our best option and fit within our budget. We spoke with Charlie on Friday, April 21st to let him know we were going with his quote. By Tuesday, April 25th, we had a crew of 6-7 guys here working on our roof and by Wednesday, the 26th our roof was complete. We are so happy we chose to go with Johnson Roofing. Tyler Johnson is the owner and the guy who sent his crew to the wrong address and they tore apart my roof. It is getting Inspected by a REPUTABLE company, none the less we have sought legal representation. On Monday, March 09th 2020, I returned to my home after work to find several grown me on my roof. I did not have a roof repair in, nor did I request Johnson Roofing at any time come to my home or authorize them on my property. They had ripped off my roof on ARCADIA and called their boss to ask where the NEW TILES and NEW PAPER was and other materials. At that time, they realized that they were on the wrong roof. Their boss Tyler Johnson instructed them to hurry up and put all the old tile back on, WITHOUT my consent. The girls in the office are friendly and very easy to work with on appointments, estimators were knowledgeable on all questions about roofs and gave me the lowest bid for the job, but the stars of this company are the very hard working men who did the actual work on the roof! Refreshing to see the guys who tore off the old roofing working so hard to tear off, and replace needed wood, and the the men who blew the foam on, work as hard as they could, putting their very best effort into the job with pride. The office made an appointment for the roofers to come and do the work a week later. A couple of days later the office called and asked if the roofers could come 5 days earlier. Huh, did that ever happen to anyone in AZ?? The roofers came and introduced themselves on schedule and finished within the time that they estimated to do the job. Johnson Roofing did an amazing job on our roof. Devin came out and gave me a very good, fair estimate on re-roofing my entire house. They had to completely tear off my flat roof and start from scratch because it was leaking. They did my patio and put new papers under my whole tile roof and replaced all the broken tiles. They also fixed it so there is no way birds or water can get under the tile now. I was so impressed with the workers and the job they did. They cleaned up my yard like new. I had a homeowners insurance roof inspection that came up with two issues to correct and because of miscommunication I was left with 5 business days to get this done or my policy would be canceled. I researched roofers in the Mesa area and called Johnson Roofing and Joe Kim came out. Joe was on time, took the necessary pictures, made a couple repairs to a couple shingles and even caulked some areas that werent even on the insurance company's report. Joe's roof evaluation was very thorough and professional with pictures and a summary I submitted the report and my insurance company was satisfied with Joe's evaluation, my policy was continued without the original repairs listed on the insurance company's drive-by inspection. Our house is selling in a few days and the home inspection turned up several broken, loose, and cracked tiles, and also some "mud cap" repairs that needed attention. I honestly don't write many reviews.  I feel that most products/services are adequate and don't make that strong an impression on me. I am making an exception, however,  for Johnson roofing. From the original quote to the finished product that I was presented with, I was extremely happy and impressed throughout the whole process. John was thorough and honest with the quote and follow up visits and Julio and his crew made the roof beautiful! The office staff, Corina and Sylvia were friendly and awesome as well. I usually don't take the time to write review, but in this case I really need to make an exception. From my initial call to the company until the job was done this company really makes the customer satisfaction their #1 priority. The estimator Philip P was so helpful and I never once felt he was trying to oversell something that I wouldn't need at the time. In other word, "I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off by someone."
