My friend and I decided to visit for her birthday, using her birthday reward. The staff are very nice there. There was a couple of times that we asked if we could have machines fixed/rearranged and they were glad to do it. At one point we even had a toy, pictured, get stuck and they let us get the toy and keep it (other places would tell you that since it didn't drop down you didn't earn it, but we are thankful they didn't deny us the toy when it was honestly wedged in hard). We also brought along my 19 month old since I didn't have a babysitter and it was great. He had fun running around and playing in their kiddie area and the restaurant in general. For the food it was your typical buffet experience and nothing truly mind blowing but also wasn't the worst experience we could have had and we HAVE had worse experiences. We really enjoyed our meal. At one point the manager (I believe he called himself), Ryan, came around and asked us how we were and happily told him we were enjoying ourselves and the food. We decided to eat in the Toon room and it was fun. We had fun eating and watching Disney jr. Another thing that we appreciated was when I bought our card for the games I wasn't able to get my points. I only noticed after it was because I accidentally entered my phone number wrong when registering for my account. One of the higher ups, I believe it was a leader or something came around and was able to add my points onto my account. Last thing I'll add is something I can appreciate and I'm sure others will too. Based on what I can deduce 100 points is equal to $1. I got this as they sell the same frisbee you can get as a prize worth 400 points for $4. All in all a great day and a lot of fun. Thank you to all the staff. To judge this on Food alone it's sub-par, nut to evaluate the experience with the arcade and target audience... it's an older crowd than Chuck E Cheese and a younger crowd than Dave & Buster's as a video game arcade for kids and children's birthdays or groups. It gets * one or * * two stars on the food quality and selection. The food here is very sugar and carb heavy... so not great for diabetics, lactose intolerant, healthy clean eaters or those weight watchers on any diet. The base entrees and food they serve is simple no-frills Pizza - various toppings Pasta Chicken Nuggets (previously frozen type) Mac & Cheese Then they have a somewhat mediocre or lackluster in quality sides of: Soup Salad Garlic Bread French Fries Basic Desserts Drinks Slushie/Icee/Slurpie Frozen Drinks So, if you're coming here for the food, on one level it is cheap in cost at $15 per person for the AYCE Buffet... but $15 can buy you better quality food if you're just looking to eat. If you have a family of 4 (4 x $15 = $60) you can get better pizza anywhere and better chicken or make better Pasta at home or go to an Italian restaurant for that money. The price is affordable 'tho overall for many who like this casual AYCE self service format. My suggestion is they raise the price to $20 and make the selection more robust and much higher quality, especially for teens to adults. If you don't like pizza, pasta or greasy less than healthy foods, you'll have nothing to eat for the most part other than a weak salad. They need more protein and fresh selections. The Sizzler mini AYCE Salad Bar is more robust than this. Any Asian AYCE Buffet has leaps and bounds better food. Hometown Buffet puts this place to shame. So, if they want to live up to the advertised "Incredible" brand moniker, they need to step it up so it can become a venue for repeat customers, destination dining based upon cravings and not just a side aspect of a video game entertainment amusement center where you have to pay for games by the experience (coin-op credits per game). So, my recommendation to the company is to improve the food. What would bring most patrons here is the arcade. There are "entry fees" so look up the cost and what you get before assuming you can just walk in to play games only. It's good for the 14 and under aged children. The crowd can be rambunctious with kids. It's more inner-city than the stereotypical South Bay Beach City in environment, serving Carson and Torrance but within 20-30 mins of the SBBC area. I got a breadstick, mixed veggies, salad with blue cheese dressing, and pepperoni pizza. The salad was pretty crunch and had water or something on them because they were wet. The mixed veggies were pretty soft and steamed. They tasted like the veggies themselves and didn't have much seasoning, if any. I got a chicken nugget and Louisiana nugget. The Louisiana nugget was spicier than the regular nugget. I got Broccoli cheddar soup. It was pretty creamy. I was here at 1:20 pm for my nephew's birthday party. We were in a private room. The table had around 30 chairs I think so it was a tight fit. We were moved to the general area at 2:45 pm. Employees got our plates and utensils when we were finished eating. They had gloves on. Jon's Incredible Pizza used to actually be worth going to, but this visit was terrible. We paid around $50 for a family of 4 to eat crappy pizza, nuggets, and fries. Honestly, nothing on the buffet even looked appetizing. The buffet area was filthy and more than halfway empty. Dirty dishes everywhere, and the fountain drink machine was disgusting. The play area was okay -- my kids were somewhat entertained, but I was bored. There was only one attendant trying to help when games kept breaking down. He was a very nice young man, but most of the other employees were rude and unhelpful. Workers would literally walk past trash and just ignore it. The food was edible, but cleanliness issues really affected my appetite. I noticed food residue on a "clean" plate and on the fork dispenser, so I wiped items down with my own napkin before using them. I also avoided the ice machine because there was visible pink mold at the bottom, which raised concerns about overall sanitation. Food-wise, I stuck to safer options like pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and flatbread, which were okay. I sampled the pastas and the Alfredo was the only decent one--adding chicken and broccoli helped since the sauce was very runny on its own. The potatoes weren't worth it, and most other items didn't look appealing. For dessert, I skipped the ice cream because kids were constantly handling the machine and chose the jello instead, which was fine. The game room was decent for my nephew (under 3), as most of the toddler-friendly games worked. However, many larger games were closed or out of order, so options were very limited for older kids. We had a great time celebrating my child's birthday at JIP! Our host Marleen was very sweet and patient with getting everything we needed for our party room. Ladonna visited our room often to make sure our questions were all answered. I added one hour to our room reservation to make sure we were rushed out of the room after the cake cutting. Three hours in the party room was the perfect amount of time! Some of the guests stayed with us beyond the three hours, so we relocated to the tables just outside our party room (#1) near the front entrance. The guests raved about the pizza and kept going back for seconds. My big kid particularly appreciate the bar counter to get a beer to pair with his meal. Went here just for goofs but ended up having a pretty good time. The arcade and minigolf is incredibly small but well decorated. The claw machines are legit to play. It's not like I expected much... trust me! I know this is a place for snotty nose kids to eat fast, and then tire out playing games. In no way did I expect a restaurant. The problem is calling it John's INCREDIBLE pizza. Let's change the name entirely! John has his whole nerve putting his name next to the word pizza. It should be called "John's world" or something that doesn't point to food whatsoever. This place is like if you took all the dumped out salad from Sizzler that's already in the garbage outside, and put it next to the Little Caesars Day old pizza from their garbage dump. Johns DEPLORABLE PIZZA is what this is. I'm fearful of what the back kitchen looks like! If the food even comes out of a kitchen at all. I took two 12 year old girls here for dinner and some fun. I paid $125 for "buffet" & $35 game cards. As I was eating my wilted iceberg, lettuce, and soupy ranch dressing, paired with John's unedible pizza.. all I could think of was how I was going to download Yelp and leave a review. I rarely ever leave reviews! This food chain is ridiculous. How hard could it be for John to invest a little more in the actual food? The desserts were barely edible. Everything looked like it came out of John's day old soggy lunch box. How do you even mess up sugar? The only thing acceptable were the soft strings and I was concerned of how clean the cups were. Went as a guest for a birthday party reservation. The check-in process was smooth; however, as we walked down the long hallway past the food stations to get to our party room (around 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday), the overall condition of the food areas was disappointing. The food stations looked picked over, with no staff actively wiping down counters or cleaning spills from dressings, croutons, etc. Many items were unavailable--salad containers were empty, dressings needed refilling, and there were no cones at the ice cream station. There were even piles of dispensed ice cream sitting on the drip tray, clearly needing to be cleaned. My son was hoping to get ice cream after eating a few slices of pizza, but nothing had been restocked or cleaned. I told him we'd come back after playing games, but even after about 45 minutes, the station was still in the same condition. The floors throughout the hallway were grimy and clearly needed sweeping and mopping due to frequent spills, napkins, and straw wrappers. I understand how busy weekends can be with multiple parties, but periodic spot checks or reset times would make a big difference. Now, the game area was fun, and had a variety of games for the kids to play, however, if the food hall and restrooms was that dirty, it makes me question how often those machines get a good wipe down from the constant traffic it gets, especially kids. The restrooms were another concern. I'm not sure if there is an hourly cleaning schedule, but on a busy day it seemed overdue. The women's restroom had multiple unusable stalls, with only one or two that people were actually waiting to use. Trash cans were overflowing, and paper towels were scattered on the floor--made worse by the hand dryer blowing them around. Overall, the experience could be greatly improved with more consistent cleaning, restocking, and monitoring during peak hours. read more

Tonight 85% of the games just straight up unavailable & even if it looked like it might be working, you'd scan your card and it would say bad account or comm error & wouldn't work. We started by dropping in for a tour to see if the venue could work and Lauren greeted us and gave us the red carpet treatment along with endless tips on how to plan the party in a way that worked best for our group. On the day of the party, Paris and Evelyn took care of managing the event, playing some games and ensuring adult guests had what they needed. Our son had the time of his life! The buffet price is fantastic! However, it's also a buffet where kids can easily reach, touch, and sneeze on everything, so I made sure to grab the pizza as soon as it came out. The pizza was decent, but everything else looked questionable, so I avoided it. Keep in mind, I'm a 30-year-old without kids who came here for a 6-year-old family member's birthday. The miniature golf was cool but could use some upgrades, like adding more interactive elements when the ball rolls past a sensor. The rollercoaster was great! Obviously designed for kids, the seating was uncomfortable, but my boyfriend and his family had fun. The bumper cars were also a favorite. However, the prices for the games are a bit ridiculous, and the prizes are horrible. You have to pay an arm and a leg to win enough tickets for a decent prize, no thanks. read more

The pizza, spaghetti, & corn were loved by the kids. The kids also really liked the themed rooms in which one could choose to dine. We picked Toon Town. Bluey was playing on a big screen (as well as some smaller ones). It was a large room, but, even so, by the time we were ready to sit down to eat dinner, every table, except one, and every booth, except one, was visibly dirty. That was kind of discouraging. I am not sure whether they need more staff attention or if this may have been intentional since it is difficult to know whether someone is finished and has left or not since it is all you can eat. I enjoyed the peach cobbler. The ranch for the salad was great and made it very tasty. Salad, itself, did not look fresh. I am hopeful I don't get sick having eaten it. Ice cream area was a disaster. We did not even approach. There were cones crushed on the floor in front of the machine. There were cones crushed into and left on the overflow/drip tray of the soft serve machine. Having never been here before, the fun card sales choices confused us. We purchased a card with a certain number of credits and two rides. However, when we got into the "Fun World" area, we saw that the rides were each labeled with a certain number of credits anyway. **shrug** We went to the bumper cars, but no attendant was there, no lights were on, etc. so I assume it was not operational, or, for whatever reason, must have been out of service for the evening. The kids liked the Crazy 8 roller coaster. The carousel was disappointing. My kids paid their credits, got on, and when it started going, they noticed that neither one of their horses was moving up and down. They rode again so they could get the full experience on one of the 4 working horses, that actually did move up and down, but they had to pay another 14 credits (which was kind of a drag). Oh well. The glow mini golf was cute, but theft and vandalism had obviously occurred which made me feel a bit nervous and admittedly less than perfectly safe. The backs of the giraffe and tiger figure had been bashed in (I am assuming with golf clubs). There were many missing balls and even more missing clubs. I can't imagine how so many people are able to get away with stealing that stuff. (There are warning signs that say one is under video surveillance.) There was also one young man serving as security guard near the entrance/exit. One of the main draws for my kids (what made them want to come here) was the Incredi-Bear mascot who is pictured many/multiple times on the John's website as well as throughout the restaurant. They figured they would see him (just as every guest sees Chuck E Cheese, at some point, during the course of one's stay in that pizza establishment). Eventually, my son asked an employee when Incredi-Bear would be coming out. To his disappointment, the worker told him he only comes out on holidays to which our son replied, "Yesterday was a holiday, but when we came, you were closed." :"(. It makes me sad to see such repeated disappointments involving this place. It was very difficult to get some of the games to read our game cards. The cards are not the thick, hard, plastic you get in competitor's establishments. John's cards are more like card stock. When we swiped them multiple times, eventually we could get them to work, most of the time. It was, admittedly, a near-constant frustration though. My autistic son never got the Down the Clown machine to work, and that is one of his favorite games. That was too bad. :"( He tried to play one of the NFL 2-minute drill games, but so many of the footballs had been stolen that he had nothing available to throw for much of the time and was left watching seconds ticking by on the time clock waiting desperately for one of the few balls left in the machine to drop within his reach. . Again, I just found it disappointing and sad. In the buffet area, I noticed a guest "Code of Conduct" posted on the wall. One of the first few guest "code of conduct" policies was that no baggy clothing of any kind would be tolerated. Right away, my mind jumped to wondering whether we may be in prime gang territory? I can't think of any other reason that would be so high on their list of concerns. One good thing was that they had a good game selection. There were newer games you would find at Dave and Busters, Round 1, etc. also, the credits do last much longer than the competition. We were there for probably about 3 hours. For that amount of money spent at Dave and Buster's we would have only lasted about an hour (AND THAT WOULD NOT HAVE INCLUDED FOOD) so it is a pretty great value. I would have appreciated the employees being more welcoming and helpful, but it wasn't as though they were bad, rude, etc. I don't think we would come back to that location, but maybe we might try another one sometime if we can find one in a little bit safer area. read more
