This was one of the fastest $60 I've ever burned through and somehow less enjoyable than losing it in Vegas. The machines were hit or miss, a few appeared to be broken and nobody seemed especially interested in fixing or explaining anything. The staff gave off the impression that helping customers was an inconvenience. No guidance, no energy, no sense that anyone cared whether people were actually having a good time. Places like this depend entirely on the experience. If the machines are unreliable and the people working there act like they hate being there, there isn't much left. I wanted this to be fun. Came back yesterday n today. We were informed that today would be an Easter egg hunt, so we came. Kids were excited as they woke me up to go. We were the first people there n we went at it! We got a ton of eggs as the staff had to replenish the eggs. My kids figured out that if they follow the staff, they'll know where the eggs are lol. Great event! I love claw game arcades in Asia and glad to see more popping up here in SoCal. First the pros: - easy to find at the corner of the mini mall complex with plenty of parking - clean and organized, can use your credit card to get tokens - fast and friendly service from the staff Cons: - claws are very loose. Really hard to win anything that's heavy. Some of the smaller machines even have a release that looks to happen before it reaches the winner slot - tokens will disappear quickly. I spent $30 (for 35 tokens) in less than 25 minutes even when all the games are 1 coin/play - quality of the plush - definitely look like knock offs. Can't expect high quality at these things but when the minions and Sanrio characters kind of look like the Picasso versions of themselves... you get the picture. I ended up with 3 of the same item for spending $30.. not because I wanted that item but it was the only one I could actually win. Would I go here again? Maybe. I passed by this place a few times when I was in the area a couple of weeks back. Finally decided to drop by when I'm in the area again. And now I know that we'll always make every effort to come here whenever we can (or we might even make a special trip just to go here!) The place was clean and bright looking so we were excited to come here. There's a token exchange station or we can also go to the prize trade-up/cashier counter to exchange tokens. They accept both cash and credit cards. Rows of claw machines filled up this place but it didn't feel cramped. There's plenty of space to move around and there's a good variety of plushies. They're all so adorable! The staffs were all so friendly, kind and helpful. We ended up getting a lot of plushies by the end of our time there. We traded a few of them and kept the rest. I hope they're gonna open more locations soon especially in SGV area because then we'll visit it more often! read more

Wawa Claw is one of my favorite places to take my family. The machines are actually winnable (a rare find these days!), and they have smaller claws that toddlers can easily reach and play with too. The machines have a nice variety of exciting prizes, and I love that you can trade them in for cute things like Labubu pens. Came here for a kid's birthday party. The place is in back corner of a shopping plaza by on the street side so you see it. It is next to a Daiso so drop your kid off and go do a little shopping therapy. The place is full of claw machines. The toys are mostly knock-offs of popular characters. It isn't really laid out to host parties. They put a table out back where kids can eat but that's it. It is interesting concept. The good The man who worked here was really friendly and gifted my son a small plush for free. He said we could swap our prizes out for others that we liked better. It seems like claw machine shops are really gaining popularity lately because this is the fourth one I've been to in the last 1-2 years. They had surprise ball machines where you don't know what you get until you open the plastic ball. The bad: The claw machines here are harder to win than the Torrance Clawcade. The music was a bit loud for me (already overstimulated from having two toddlers). I didn't realize until later that some machines allowed 2 plays per coin. Some machines required a lot of coins (I think up to 5?!) to play. This clawcade was on the smaller and more cramped side compared to the other 3 I went to. The interesting: I spent $20 on coins and ended up getting one larger stuffed animal and one small one (but the small one wasn't by our own merit). There's a boba shop nearby so it's nice to play some games and then go get a drink afterward. This makes this place a nice spot for a date or for a family-night out. read more

I'm really happy to see a claw game store pop up in this part of Torrance! I love these kind of stores ever since I got to experience them in Japan. There are a lot of claw games here and the price per attempt is just under $1. Every machine is 1 token, no matter the size of the prize. They have incentives for you to buy their larger coin packages so you get additional tokens of course. I'm just your average claw game enthusiast and I found myself winning a prize every 4-8 tokens. The staff is extremely friendly and will even help reposition the prizes for you upon request and even give you a bag to hold all your winnings. You can also trade in your winnings for a bigger prize. They have a stamp card system so you can revisit in the future to win and trade in more prizes for stamps. I randomly saw Wawa as I was passing by and we had time to kill with our daughter, so I wanted to check it out. I thought it would be a ripoff crane game store, so I didn't anticipate spending any money. My daughter LOVED so many of the plushies here, so my husband got $10 in tokens to see if we could get something for her. One of the employees saw him trying to win a plushie for our daughter, but the claw dropped it, so she helped us place the plushie in a more favorable position. Our daughter was thrilled!! Went to Daiso to grab some things then was pleasantly surprised to see this place right next door! I'm guessing it's fairly new because I don't recall seeing it last time I was in the area. The space has a variety of claw machines with prizes of different sizes and types. There are also some gumball/"gashapon" and roulette (?) machines. Each machine has different prizes ranging from figurines, plush keychains, and giant plushies. One of the machines actually had Sanrio themed cup noodles which I thought was funny and cool. Each token is $1 and claw machines are usually tricky, but still fun! It took me an embarrassing amount of tries to get what I wanted and the staff gave me some tips. A great claw machine arcade that's one of the only ones in the South Bay as of this review! It was the first place I've gone to and I've gone to many since but I've come back to this one because the machines feel more reasonable to play than others. They have good prizes for trade-in and allow for banking your plush points onto a card for future visits! I have yet to see that system elsewhere which is cool if you're hoping for a great big trade-in prize. The place I reviewed also was claw daddy arcades while their prizes are completely different they implement another model for these games where winning something is prioritized. Not a fan of this location, they use the same machines Kiddleton uses and the claw basically never closes. There was a couple pretending to be regular customers while we were there and getting bag loads of coins from the cashier without handing any money to him. Obviously there to pretend winning is easy as they carried a bag of toys they were stuffing. The place is clean and the color themes are great and very party like. I highly recommend Wawa claw if you love claw machines. Unlike most places where so many machines are just rigged, Wawa claw has machines that you can actually win! We won like 10+ plushies in one night I really like that you can trade in your plushies for larger prizes too. I'm currently working on getting enough plushies to trade in for a Labubu! And yes they give you a punchcard so you can come back to try to win more plushies! You'll have a toy fully grasped and the machine will gift you a nice jolt at the top to drop the toy before the claw even moves towards the drop-off zone. If you are lucky to win, the toys aren't the best quality. The machines seem to be filled with odd ends of plushies. It's giving "random bulk bag" and not thought out, relevant toys. We bought one of the token packages and didn't make it though the tokens. We should've looked through the machines first. My review is going to be based on the experience between 2 different claw arcades. This one is def bigger and has more games however after spending 35 coins, I managed to win just 2 small Keychain dolls. Most of the dolls were at the bottom of the floor and we hard to get. Alot of them we pushed into each other making them harder to grasp. I even managed to grab one perfectly only to fail because the Keychain was interlocked with another doll. Upon inspection, there were 2 other dolls interlocked as well. Now my experience at the other claw arcade was more successful. With 35 coins I managed to win 7 bigger dolls and like 4 Keychain dolls. Between the 2 arcades, I noticed another one would regularly replenish the dolls so they were stacked higher. None of them were interlocked or pushed down on each other. This made the chances of winning alot higher. Spending $30 and allowing your customers to be successful will not only gain you return customers, but you'll still be profitable with more success. Normally I don't like to review places with low stars unless I believe they're bad businesses but I thought I would atleast share my experience so that they could improve. read more
