I appreciate that they understand that people are driving and have rules in place to protect patrons. we had over 80 guests that all left happy and said they had never been Togo Kart World despite being Southbay residents. Generous hours of operation make this a great option if you're looking for something to do after 5 PM. This was our first time, and we skipped the reading materials and just learned as we went, it worked out fine. We arrived on a Sunday around 4:30 PM and it wasn't busy. One thing to note: the Super Track tends to have a much longer wait than the others. Fair warning: there's a lot of exhaust. It's heaviest around the Super Track. While it's noticeable throughout the facility, the waiting areas for the other tracks felt better ventilated. I still felt like I'd chain smoked just by being there. The karts are clearly well used but in good condition. The staff are friendly, young, and clearly into go-karting (I wouldn't be surprised if they take laps themselves on breaks). I want to share my experience with the staff here particularly the front desk Woman which was extremely unpleasant. She clearly acknowledged that I already earned my license from a previous visit, yet because I didn't physically have it with me today, she insisted I go through the entire "training" again as if I were a new client. My 4 year old son is truly passionate about motorsports, and legitimately wants to to be a race car driver when he grows up. The kid watches two hour Formula One and Indie car races on TV choosing his favorite driver screaming when they pass the competition. He was finally tall enough to go go karting here on the mini Indy cars, and was over the moon. The staff was extremely accommodating, he had a 1.5 hour wristband, and hardly any kids were here today, so they let him drive many many races. They gave him a fantastic first experience driving. It all comes down to price, this place is just too damned expensive. A 4-5 minute ride on the go karts is $9 ... for 4 people to get wrist bands for an hour of riding (that means for 1 hour you get to repeatedly get in line and wait your turn it would have been $200 fricking dollars! Now they guarantee 5 rides (not sure how they do that), but it's the same cost to just buy 5 tickets, and then you are not on the clock! They do have plenty of seating! read more

I know this place has been here for years but I never made it here. I brought 3 teenage boys. I purchased their wristbands online ahead of time and they had a great time. The young girl checking us in didn't really provide any direction or guidance even tho I told her it was our first time here, so you're kind of on your own to figure it out. The young guys working the tracks were friendly and pretty attentive. One of the boys in our group dropped his phone in one of the cars. When he realized his phone was missing, the guys on the track told him they found a phone and that it was turned into the front office. Phone was located and all was good again. Booked a 10th birthday here. The process was quick and easy, the owner and management were very helpful. Everything was done through an email and yes it's true they will get back to you before the day is over if you send in a request before 5 pm. They even sent a list of the nearby pizzerias so we could place an order and have it delivered on time. I liked that they allowed outside food and gave limited options pizza, cake, no alcohol and no chicken wings. It made deciding so much easier. As far as arriving there? Well the place can definitely use a facelift. It's old, the tracks are limited and some of our riders didn't get to go on the main track because of height restrictions. They should definitely keep up on maintenance on their karts as only 3 we're working for the mini track and at one point the birthday boys go kart wasn't working. I also didn't like the approach of some of the workers, they just didn't seem enthusiastic about their job, one man was sitting on his phone till we buzzed the heck out of the help button and yelled. If these few things could be improved it would be that much better. But we made the best of it and it's definitely worth a visit. Parking can be kind of hard as the lot is kind of small. Weekend nights though might be crowded and more rowdy teens come here, but I think they are good at enforcing the rules. The 2 hour wrist bands are a better value and you can maybe go on 5 rides or so but it's still kind of expensive (even with a Groupon deal). It's a nice place to go once in a while. Staff: Extraordinarily friendly, not sure what happened with the previous reviews but we had nothing but amazing service from every employee there. We arrived right at 10am on a monday morning, my son and I were the first two people there and had the pick of the tracks. Both Lee and the other gentleman were awesome. Check-in Process: Easy check-in sign a form for a minor and quickly inside to pay and get a wristband. Tracks: We really enjoyed the tracks especially Super Track and The Turbo Track, some really unique turns and bumps. Slick track is also fun but a bit small. Cars: Here is where Unfortunately is our only complaint, specifically the cars on the Turbo track where the rubber on the steering wheels is very melted off and kinda sticks on your hands.. these need some replacing, the cars themselves are fine some even fast if you get the right ones but there are some stinkers in there. overall the cars themselves are on the older side, it's a unique experience getting into the cars from the front. The mirrors on the cars on the Super track is a nice touch. Bathrooms: bathrooms are as you would expect way cleaner than a bowling alley haha. Pricing: $90.00 for 2 hours using a groupon Overall: The place is aging and could use a bit of a aesthetic facelift, it looks old I can't imagine covid was easy to go through and recover. There's a Groupon available for a wristband deal or you can buy tickets per ride. If you want to ride the Euro Track (the faster one), you have to get a free "license" by taking a couple of supervised test drives around the track. There's a food counter inside but it wasn't operating when we were there. There's also an arcade with games. Credit cards accepted. There are public gendered restrooms available. The go-karts are a bit dated but they were still fun. The regular ones don't go too quickly and it's kid-friendly. Helmets weren't required but I would still suggest getting them. Bring sunglasses if you go during the day, as there's minimal shade. read more

My sister had organized a party for eight guests at Go Kart World, and unfortunately, our visit was marred by a series of unsettling incidents. To begin with, we encountered ants on our table, which is certainly not the kind of environment one expects at an entertainment venue. While one of the workers attempted to address the issue with a spray, the problem persisted despite their efforts. Furthermore, we faced several challenges with the arcade games. Many of them were inoperable or malfunctioned when we tried to use tokens. Waiting for someone to assist us or issue refunds consumed a significant amount of our time, disrupting our enjoyment of the games. The most disheartening part of our visit occurred when my sister stayed behind with her youngest child (3 years old) and my youngest (1 year old). They were unable to join the other kids during the party, and my sister wanted to let them enjoy a ride. However, she faced considerable difficulty in acquiring the necessary tokens. The staff outside directed her to obtain tokens from the token machine inside. After purchasing $2 worth of tokens and attempting to use them for a kiddie ride, she was told that the tokens were incorrect. She returned to speak with the manager, Angelina, in the hope of resolving the situation. Regrettably, Angelina's response was far from satisfactory. She greeted my sister with an attitude and, instead of providing a solution, stated that my sister should have simply asked for clarification. This, despite the fact that my sister had sought assistance but received incorrect information. The situation escalated, and Angelina eventually allowed the children to ride. However, the experience left us deeply unsatisfied and frustrated with the level of service we received. When I attempted to speak with Angelina to understand her perspective and request the owner's contact information for a more in-depth discussion, her sarcastic response further exacerbated the situation. I want to emphasize that this experience has put a significant dent in our perception of Go Kart World. We had spent a considerable amount of money and expected to have a memorable and enjoyable time. Instead, we were met with subpar service and, quite frankly, a lack of professionalism. The owner got back to me basically stating that due to the location there was nothing they could do about the ants. He also investigated the situation between my sister and the manager but his recap was different from what happened. I wrote back to express my disagreement with the summary of events and my disappointment with the response provided. It lacked empathy and understanding which I would think was important to an owner who has been in business for decades. I know this is long but needed people to understand if you go here for a party to think twice about bringing or playing the arcade games and waiting forever for a refund. They knew but never brought it up to us. -The manager got an attitude because I didn't know where to locate tokens for the kiddie ride outside. She told me in order to know I would have to ask. The manager displayed insolence when she rudely emphasized the distinction between a game and a ride, exhibiting disrespect in her tone and demeanor because I bought the wrong tokens- horrible customer service!‍ -The arcade is a joke- the basketballs are flat, the prizes in another machine have not been updated. We took numerous trips to the counter for broken games. At one point I told my son to forget about the games. -The only drink vending machine took quarters only at one point. Imagine that. Buying 12 drinks with quarters. -Two girls at the desk act as if they did not know anything and couldn't help anyone. -Emailed the owner about my experience and an apology about how his manager acted was not given. Took my son for his 11th bday along w/ some of my family members it was on a Wednesday during the morning so it wasn't crowded at all! They have a few different race tracks, +bumper cars. Our favorite one was racing on the "Super track", it was a lot of fun! All the staff were really friendly. My son had a great time. WOW!! Can't say enough about the AMAZING EXPERIENCE we had a Go Kart World yesterday!! My son was turning 18 and, being a kid at heart, he and his friends chose Go Kart World to celebrate. They came completely dressed up as all the characters from Mario Kart, my son coming as Luigi. At every track they visited there were children and grown ups alike waving, smiling, and asking them to pose for pictures, to which they happily obliged. The track employees were just as gracious, as racing around in full costume isn't always as easy as it seems, lol! The event planning was flawless from start to finish. With the assistance of Go Kart World owner Cynde Harris, every detail was outlined and accomplished before we ever arrived, with our party area clean, ready and waiting when we got there. Having the 'baby' of our family turn 18 is one huge milestone, and thanks to the care and professionalism of ALL at Go Kart World, it is sure to be a memory we will long remember. Don't waste your money or time here. Arcade games are nearly half broken and short chick with the ugly a** red n blk fake eyelashes got a nasty a** attitude. She slammed a token on the counter when I asked if could get change for a dollar bill so I can convert just one quarter into a token at the machine since I had 3 tokens and wanted to just use 4 tokens for the games that are all only 2 or 4 tokens each. I just needed this help so we would finish out a game and leave but this girl got hot headed for no reason. Sucky customer service and her ears don't work. Work on it girl. Place is dirty , sticky, out of date. Go carts are overpriced. Kids under 16 with no valid license are still required to pay for a ticket even if they don't drive with a paid adult as told by a worker. So my 4 year old would have to pay smh Avoid avoid. Go Kart World is a family racing spot in Carson. Parking lot is small, they offer street parking along the small street they are on. You need a permit from them though. The location itself is not fancy and looks like it has been here forever. If you compare it to Speed Zone in in COI, this place looks super old. Walking around is pretty tight along the paths. Single Race is $5. Kids under 5 cannot ride solo, they need an adult in the kiddo race track. The cars were old school go karts, they ran smooth. Arcade games were basically a buck a game. The claw machines were super rigged, items were heavier then the claw can hold. Workers were nice. They have a BBQ joint on site that sells food. read more

I hosted my son's 13yr old birthday in February. I had not been there since before COVID so I didn't know what to expect. I was very impressed with Cynde's quick response to my email regarding my party request. She was also gracious enough to allow me to change my date due to the rain without a charge. The day of the party we were greeted by their courteous staff. We were able to order pizza from an outside vendor and I brought drinks and snacks for my party of 10 thirteen year olds.
