That said, they do come at a price. During a typical 1-2 hour visit, I'd say we spend about $50-$75 (for 2 people.) Fun factor 5*! The points earned on some games are redeemable for prizes. The best prizes take quite some time to build up enough points. They have a bar and restaurant with tons of TVs and a big screen. It's fun to come for a meal and catch one of the big sporting events of the week. Food is ok and prices are a bit high. Service could be better. Overall, this location is clean. Very poor customer service. I was charged for a to-go item that was missing from my order, and when I called--explaining that I live far--I was still told I needed to come back in person. I asked for a possible refund and was again told I had to return to the location. When I called back and was transferred to a manager, I was told I would receive my refund in 10 business days. After the 10 days passed, I called again only to be told there was no record of anything, but that they would process another refund. A week later, still no refund. I happened to be at the mall and decided to follow up in person. Marie, who assisted me, was not helpful. She said she would speak to the manager, and after a few minutes came back saying the manager was busy and that I should just leave my name. Overall, the lack of accountability and the repeated runaround have been extremely frustrating and disappointing. read more

I had some extra credit left from the Dave & Busters in Schaumburg, so I brought my toddler to the Torrance location to use it up. It's really loud inside and the noise bothered her a bit. Lots of games, some of them didn't work that well. There was a life size Hungry Hippo type game that looked cute but was almost impossible to scoop up the balls into the hippo's mouth. Overall, it was fun to check out and redeem our points for prizes. read more

So, I tested coming here on a weekend daytime, a weekday daytime, a weekend midday and figures to venture into the potentially dreaded Friday Night around 9am... ...my friend and I are a combined age of 100+ years old so, didn't know if this would be filled with teens, young adults or delinquent troublemakers. It ended up being a tad noisy due to the machines and number of patrons rather than the people being disruptive. Fret Not, feel safe as it was so family friendly without any incidents. Came here on a Friday evening because it was my son's birthday and he likes this place now. PSA: Don't try coming here during a Dodgers playoff game thinking you can get a table. It was a madhouse. They told us we could just grab a table out at the bar/TV's area if one became free, but that just led to people hovering over tables that looked like they might leave soon. I even saw a couple gals ask a family if they were leaving, and since they were, they sat down ... only to be told by a waitress that two other young ladies were already waiting for that table. There needs to be a better system. Anyways, a whole bunch of tables emptied out at 7pm even though it was still the middle of the game. Not coincidentally, happy hour appears to be from 4pm-7pm. Haha. We got a table and the service was pretty quick. My go-to order of late has been the salmon bowl. It's simple but doesn't disappoint. My son is all about the cheese sticks, cheese pizza, and slushee. As you'd expect on a weekend, it was pretty crowded in the game area. But not so much that you'd have to wait to find a game to play or anything. As usual, there were a couple games that weren't working correctly. One just straight out wasn't giving prize tickets out for some reason. Lots of kids running wild and drinks left out on tables in the game area, but other than that, no major complaints here. read more

Fast forward to present day, that play discount is no more & replaced with levels for loyalty play; there are 9 with rewards starting at Level 2: 48 game chips for 300 played, Level 9: 750 game chips for 20K played. I rarely dined at D&B's unless there's a special offer because the menu offerings weren't tasty or worth the price. It wasn't until the recent improved menu that I started dining again. I especially love the spicy flavors of the smashed burger & blistered green beans! It's a better menu in terms of tasty options, but their calorie count in a single meal might exceed your total count for the day. Yikes! How about adding some healthy options to appease those with dietary restrictions? In addition, Dave & Buster's launched a 2024 Winter Season Pass (12/2024 - 02/28/25) for unlimited game play, daily food & beverage discounts, & more; choose from: Platinum, Gold, & Silver for different perks. I'm not as big of a fan of the arcade because I'm more sensitive to the noise level; yes, I'm admitting my advance age. LOL It's nice to spend 30 - 60 mins. on Wednesdays because all games are 1/2 off. With the winter pass, we've been going 2 - 4x/week & mostly dining in on those visits. The Torrance location has a sizable dining room to the left of the entrance, a huge bar area on the right, & further in is the arcade with the latest regular & VR games, tabletop, air hockey, & traditional gaming. Service has been a hit or miss in both dining & arcade... when they're off the mark, it's usually for wait time to be seated & taking the order for dining, or locating a staff member to assist for gaming issues (e.g. taking chips without play credits, missing game cards for Minecraft Dungeons, etc.) that I usually go to the Win! Zone to call for assistance. Gone were the days of roaming personnel for quality/service checks. The "ticket" games are no longer as generous in the past, have transitioned from paper to virtual so earned tickets are recorded/saved directly on the power card. One of my fav oldie: Flamin' Finger is no more, Daytona is still here. Some of my family's latest go-tos are: Air Hockey, Harpoon Lagoon, Centipede, Connect 4, Candy Crush, Hot Wheels, Mario Kart, Minecraft Dungeons. We sat at the bar, the service was slow but helpful. Overall unimpressed with the fries and the guacamole portion was very small. The food came out one by one instead of all at once, and the price was very expensive compared to the portions. The drinks were good though. The place was cool to hang out in but it did seem like the games weren't as high quality as they could have been. I wanted to see some throwback games and arcade style fighting games. This review is mainly addressing the restaurant service. Painfully slow. Arrived at 12:45 PM on a Saturday and received receipt at 2:15 PM. Took over 15 minutes for a waitress to address us, we ordered, then waited almost 30 minutes to receive our food. We weren't waited on again until we hunted her down for beverage refills, to-go containers, and the bill. We didn't receive our bill for 10 minutes and it took another 10 minutes to get our receipt. I kept seeing 4-5 employees huddle up a few times so I don't know what was going on but the service was awful. We tipped 15% and truthfully that felt generous for the lack or service and time waiting we spent. Food: The chicken "strips" that come in the kids meal were overcooked nuggets. Burnt! Everything else was okay. This D&B is small in comparison to LB and Orange. I encountered 2 machines that took my points and didn't work, but I never received help after waiting for a while for help. Came here today, ordered the meal that comes with the tokens. After receiving the card I immediately took my 4 yr old to play only to realize the card had 0 tokens. I informed 3 different employees of the issues only for the manager to accuse me of swapping out the card. They basically accused me of lying and swapping cards. After I told them forget it I'm leaving, they later came and gave my bf a new card and apologized (he's not black like me if that says anything), I left anyway. What is the policy for issuing cards with the meal are they not double checking the token cards? And if they don't why immediately assume the customer is lying when there's an issue. First of all, I asked if it was okay that I left my food for a quick moment I was gone for about 10 minutes and when I came back ALL my food was gone. They emailed me back telling me how important my business is etc and encouraging me to try again. Well, I tried again. This time was the worst of all. I go in and sit and the self seating tables. 30 minutes go by, not even a simple acknowledgement that I'm there. It wasn't specific to me. People who came in after me also got no attention. After 45 minutes, I went to the bar and ordered a diet coke. Finished the entire diet coke then when I saw a food runner drop off food, I stopped him and asked if anyone was serving. Cool spot, nothing special. Dave and Busters are always a great place to go hang out. It's family orientated but also for adults, and I like that. Food: I've only had some of the appitizers, but I have to say they have the best garlic parmasean fires hands down theres No competition. The nachos are okay. The presentation isn't very appealing, but you get a nice portion. I also ordered the queso Blanco dip and chips, and that was so good. The mixture they put in the queso with the beans, corn, salsa, and cilantro is fire. Loved it. Atmosphere: The vibe is cool. Everyone is chill. You hear people laughing and having a good time. There's plenty of places to sit and hang out. The bathrooms are clean and organized with baby changing stations. They also have 2 banquet rooms called FUNtion, room 1 and 2, which hold about 40-50 people, maybe more. Great space for private parties. Service: The service is average. Which isn't bad, but there is room for improvement. I don't really see staff smiling, recommending items on the menu, or just being friendly with conversation. It feels more like the staff is checked out at times. Price: The food and drink prices are average and seem to be right on target for what they offer. The games are a little expensive but you do have fun. Location: It's located at the Del Amo Mall in Torrance, CA, on the old part of the mall on the Prairie Ave / Madrona Ave side. It's right next to a parking structure, so there is plenty of free parking, and it's well lit. Security is also within eye sight of the parking lot as well. It's very convenient if you have a big party or you just show up on a busy night. Games, Beer, and Food! Great for kids and adults! Been here a number of times. Both with adult buddies to watch some games (football, tennis, soccer, etc.), and also with kids to play games. Even had a work team building event here. Good entertainment for all! Games (4): Lots of games. Most are ticket-based where you can rack up tickets for prizes. Their prize store is pretty extensive with lots of options. They use game cards for pretty much everything including your tickets. Beer (4): Had to mention this since a good beverage is part of the fun and entertainment right? Not too large of a draft list but a good enough variety to please most. Full bar. Food (4): We got some appetizers which were all pretty standard bar fare. Their fish & chips were pretty good. We had a work team building event here. They have rooms you can rent for parties and events. Ours had a mic and screen so we could present things. Had a table of catered food as well. We had a competition for some games and ran a leaderboard which made the event fun. One thing I didn't expect was the amount of TV's they have. They have a large main screen and tons of TV's surrounding the bar area. Definitely enough to watch multiple games at once. Give the kids some game cards while the adults watch the game at the bar. There was a random Sunday half price games and my wife and I played a ton of games.... Couldn't help it lol. Food is a bit expensive for things like Ribeye dinner so we tried the late night $5 menu. It appears the menu is now gone or was never offered at the Santa Anita Mall location. Won't lie the no discounts on food sucks but will have to do with the great games, the casino like atmosphere of fun, and we love the staff here. I highly recommend this place for fun and time/value! There's alot of negatives with this place but the number 1 issue is the staff. Myself and another girl in our group accidentally made two reservations. She arrived first and checked in (note: they had her reservation and she was checked in on the tablet). We were waiting about 15 minutes and were noticing alot of people were being seated before us. She went back up to the counter and spoke to a different hostess and was told they had no reservation in her name (mind you, she SAW her name on the tablet initially). The hostess was soo rude so my friend asked to speak to the manager. He couldn't find her reservation. Luckily I still had my reservation which he found and we were sat right away. So that was the first issue. 2nd issue: there is zero vegan food on the menu. I ended up having chips and quacamole as my meal. The drinks were weak, the waiter was all over the place, and in the end messed up our check so we individually paid and he ended up being tipped ALOT for sub par service and food. We tried to be nice and it wasn't necessarily his fault but it confirms that I personally won't be back (others in the group stated the same). 3rd issue: the bar. Bless this poor bartenders heart, she was running around, spilling drinks, taking too many orders at once, visibly flustered. Two of us ordered an Irish Car Bomb - it was wrong but it was still good so we let it slide. The second time we went back to get another round of the Irish Car Bomb, a different bartender was there and she said they don't make them (obviously not true as we had ordered about 30 minutes prior). Walked away and then said they're running to the back to get more ingredients. Now just say you don't know how to make one. About 20 minutes later, she gave us our drinks and they were again, wrong. Tasted gross. I was over it so I just called it a night on drinks. 4th Issue: The bathrooms. I feel like there is not enough janitorial staff because the womens bathroom was a mess (just like the last time I came). ALL that aside, we had fun with the games because we as a group have fun together so at least there's that. Had a blast on a sudden half off games Sunday. Some of the machines were having malfunctions including one that robbed me of my jackpot. But that's when Victor stepped in and made everything right. Big thanks to him for making the night fun for us! Had some late night food as well after playing for a while. We tried the flat bread, nachos, and cheese fries on the $5 late night happy hour menu. The nachos look like the cantina chicken nachos but it's like a third of the size and without the chicken. It's much more worth it to just get the regular order. Overall the $5 menu didn't really seem worth it and normal menu items are much more interesting and satisfying. We salvaged the food situation with the Game Day Grub platter which is always good. Jazmin was our server and she took great care of us. There was also a girl in the prize room who was really friendly and helpful but I unfortunately didn't catch her name. Compared to the other D&B near me in Arcadia that I go to, I really like the layout of this one better. The seats are comfy and located close to the games. read more

I usually go to Round 1 in Lakewood if I need a nostalgic arcade fix, but this place is a little closer to me, and I love Del Amo mall. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a place like this, and is usually crowded on the weekends or after school. The prices are a little high in terms of credits required to play games, BUT if you come on Wednesdays you'll definitely get more bang for your buck since all games are half off. The drinks here aren't that strong, and sometimes you'll get the occasional transient soliciting, but overall it's a good place to kill some time or go on a date. read more

I will start by saying - my kids Love Dave & Busters so this situation is concerning and makes me regret choosing this Location. My family and i threw my sons 8th Birthday here and i will never do that again. We had made reservations for quite a number of people. We were all on time but still ended up waiting over an hour to be seated, regardless of the fact that an entire half of their Dining area was completely empty ( the area we ended up being seated in). After watching large groups of people being seated before us- we ended up needing to accommodate to a few more people unexpectedly showing up and asked for more seats to be taken from tables that where empty. This was a mistake and we ended up having to fight the waitress over unused chairs . After having to apologize to our extra guests for having to order food standing up - we spoke to a RUDE ASS manager- that did not help the situation and began to micromanage the chairs and our seating arrangements. We spent a LARGE amount of money on an unsatisfying dinner for over 15 people. Then proceeded to spend more money on games, that a very big amount of - were out of order or plain turned off. I have not been back since. I have at least four birthday parties to plan for this month- but I will not be planning them here. :( read more
