    Tuesday's receipt
    Lola B.

I came to pick up my online order on Tuesday evening. I love Sizzler but my steak that I ordered medium was overcooked and rubbery. I was looking forward to their steak and was highly disappointed when I got home. I also ordered the works on my baked potato and the sour cream was missing but I did get two containers of butter. I believe they may have grabbed the wrong container. This is the reason for my stars not being 5. Staff is great and friendly. Restaurant is clean. Ample parking. I will be back. I know this visit had to be one of those days for the staff.

Had a classic sizzler steak and potato plate. The steaks are always spot on with sizzler. The ambiance is classic sizzler with a recent remodel so it looks refreshed. Service was fast despite being a busy night.

Ran a few errands along Hawthorne Blvd when hunger pangs kicked in. I also wanted to try something new and as I drove by, this popped out more than any other place. So I turned into the parking lot. It was early lunch-ish so the line was short. My go-to was the steak and AYCE shrimp back in the day, but knowing my metabolism is not as high, decided on the steak and jumbo crispy shrimp. Got an Arnold Palmer to wash it down. Sat on a booth, welcomed by my awesome server Ebony not too long after, got my receipt and was back not too long after that with my grub. Service was fast! My steak was a perfect medium. Jumbo crispy shrimp was made to order hot, crispy on the outside juicy in the inside and rice pilaf was perfect. Other than a dab of A1 steak sauce here and there, seasoning on everything on my plate was amazingly delicious and satisfying. FOOD: 5. Excellent. It's exactly what I wanted and got! SERVICE: 5. Ebony checked on me often to make sure I had everything I needed. She picked up clutter I may have built up. She was perfect. VALUE: 5. Not too bad for the quality and quantity. PARKING: Private lot shared with others. Huge. Not an issue. OVERALL: 5. The experience was so good, I came through a second time with company before I got the chance to write a review. Ebony, once again, was excellent. On a personal note, Sizzlers brings back so many childhood memories. As a kid, we frequented their location in K*Town back in the day for special occasions. That totally hit the mark on these last two visits. Can't wait to go back!

I haven't been to a sizzler in like 20yrs!! I was craving a steak and was in the area.. why not give it a try! Man I got a New York steak perfectly medium. The mashed potatoes were just okay I would explore other sides. The salad bar was totally worth it, the dessert was soooo goood as well. That brownie / ice cream combo is chef's kiss. I was taken care of so well here. The staff on the floor and cashier were all kind. Only thing I'd change here is being able to tip after eating. I accidentally skipped it and felt hesitant in what to tip since I had not received food or service. NOW I am leaving feeling guilty because everything was AWESOME!!!! I will be back!!

AN OVER COOKED POTATO, I ASKED FOR BUTTER AND CHIVES AND GOT SOUR CREAM AND CHIVES!!! IM ALLERGIC TO SOUR CREAM!!!!!!

I've lived close by for years and I gotta say, after coming to Quality Seafood twice (once in Nov…read more '25 and in March '26), I will definitely stop taking this South Bay gem for granted. I've only had the pleasure of having the following items below, but I'll be back in the coming years to try more. - Calamari [7.7/10]: regardless of what size you order, the portion is generous. This place doesn't overdue it with the batter and lets the flavor the fresh squid shine - which I adore. Only giving this dish its rating because there are a few Italian spots in Torrance that have my heart when it comes to the best calamari. - Fish Tacos [8.5/10]: Every bite gives a nice crunch of both batter and fish. I've had unpleasant experiences where I've had pockets of crispy batter, here the fish tacos are so great it actually doesn't need much support from lemon and/or tartar sauce. Be sure to order a couple of these bad boys during happy hour for $5 each. - Clam Chowder [8.3/10]: This place hits the mark on the texture of a classic chowder. Admittedly my cup could have used a touch of salt. I would have liked a bigger portion for what I paid for, but if you're in the mood for something hot to compliment your fried seafood - this is worth getting. This is also featured on the happy hour menu for $5 - Garlic Fries [10/10]: My favorite bite from this place so far. Not on the happy hour menu, but 100% worth getting and eating with your fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Perfect amount of seasoning and that white wet sauce on top is so so so addicting. The unsung hero of my most recent visit was Jose over at Station 20. In addition to taking my order, he single handedly called out orders for everyone by the dining the area during the end of happy hour rush. A whole wave of customers came in less than 10 mins I placed my order so I can only imagine how overwhelming things were on the service side of things. For my most recent visit, most of my order came in and my garlic fries came in last. I could tell there was a mix up in the kitchen, but Jose apologized and said a new order would be ready for me in less than 5. Definitely worth the delay/wait imo. Food is great. Seating is limited. Customer service is superb. But once you fish your food, you gotta take a long walk along the pier. It's a wonderful way to rejuvenate and make sure the quality seafood digests well. Can't wait to explore more of the menu, including the happy hour drinks.

I've been coming to Quality Seafood for the past couple of years, usually on Fridays for fish…read moretacos, and I've ordered the same fish taco and shrimp taco combination 40 to 50 times. It has generally been a place I've enjoyed and recommended, which is why this stood out. There's always been some normal inconsistency in portion. Some days the fish is bigger, some days smaller. Same with the shrimp, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. That never bothered me. It's part of a busy seafood counter, and I've never felt the need to say anything. What I got today was different. The fish taco was on the small side and dry, but the shrimp taco was the issue. It was served fried, very dark, and overcooked to the point the shrimp was tough. When I opened it after a few bites, I realized I was mostly eating tortilla and toppings. There were only about three shrimp total, which is noticeably less than what I've consistently received here before. In prior visits, I've also been asked whether I want my tacos grilled or fried, including the shrimp, and I've consistently chosen the lighter, non-fried option. What I received today was not that. I approached the counter politely and simply said the taco wasn't good, pointing out the quality and portion issue. I wasn't trying to make a scene and I'm not someone who returns food, especially over something this small. I was more pointing it out so it didn't keep happening. I was told nothing could be refunded because I had taken a few bites, so I asked to speak with a manager. That's where this went sideways. Instead of listening, the manager immediately dismissed it. She repeatedly told me that what I described was "not possible," insisted they have never prepared shrimp any differently in her 27 years there, and said they only ever serve three shrimp. As someone who has ordered this exact item many times, I was essentially being told that my own experience did not happen. The conversation ended with me being asked to leave. I've worked in and managed restaurants. Mistakes and inconsistencies happen. This was a simple situation that could have been handled in seconds, either by replacing the taco or offering a refund. Instead, it was denied outright and escalated. This wasn't about a $5 taco. It was about how it was handled. Being told that your repeated experience is "not possible" and then being asked to leave is not an acceptable way to handle a reasonable concern.

These were just okay. Probably better at one of the other places that sell fried seafood on the pier. The star of the show was the spicy fish soup. We ordered a small and it easily could've passed for medium or large. It had generous amounts of fresh fish and broth was flavorful without being overly spicy. Dungeness crab was large and meaty. Comes with butter but didn't really need any. Sides of kimchi and rice were a nice touch. I feel like the cost (with the economy as it is) makes sense. Like many people in the reviews, I grew up with this place in my childhood. I used to come with my family to dine here, and it used to be SOOO busy. Getting seated with our group back then (7+ people) used to be an ordeal, but it was worth it every time. The most recent time I had went was as a party of 4, with my family and my boyfriend. The service was so lovely and sweet, the servers made us feel welcome right away and sat us by the window so we could watch the waves and sunset as we ate. My mom ordered most of the food, so I couldn't tell you the names, but we got lots of crab and a spicy sea stew that was very delightful. It was my boyfriend's first time trying the stew and he said he would come back and bring his family to try just that on its own.
