I've always wondered how a pizza joint could garner such praise. After finally eating here, I think I get it, and it's simple: food is solid, place is clean, service is GREAT. Been here twice now - once for a soccer team "party" and once for lunch buffet with my son. The boys had a fun time playing in the arcade. What struck me was when it was time to redeem for prizes. They hit a busy patch, so I went up to the cashier who apologized for being so busy and said he would get to us in a few minutes. (green flag) To my surprise, another employee sitting nearby said he wasn't clocked in at the moment, but he would help us. How awesome is that?! The lunch buffet is solid. For one adult, one child, plus a drink and taxes, it came out to about $30. One word of warning: the food is kept pretty hot, so the tongs can be hot, and the pizza crust can get a tiny bit hard if it's been sitting out for a while. But I figure that's way better than having food be lukewarm or cold. Includes salad (also pasta and potato salads), spaghetti with small but yummy meatballs, a variety of pizzas, and grilled and fried chicken. I came here over the weekend for the Lunch of Bunch buffet and had a really good experience. Every time I come to this location I really enjoy the food and service. Also the buffet price is $16 on weekends and $15 on weekdays which you can't beat for ayce pizza, chicken and lots more. And the best part which I was unaware of until reading yelp reviews is that you can customize pizza toppings and they'll make those pizzas for the buffet! Just ask them to make it with your desired toppings and then they'll put it out there! This location is also kept very clean. The food was reasonably priced for its quality. We tried to eat everything, and we did. Most of the dishes were delicious, except for the pasta. The sauces were bland, and the pasta itself was too soft. However, we still enjoyed our meals. The pizza, fried chicken, and mojo potatoes were particularly good. Horrible. Waited 30 minutes for my food. And someone who ordered after me got their food before me. The salad was horrible. It was soggy. There was a bunch of empty tables that were dirty the entire time we were there. So we couldn't pick a good spot to eat since we have a baby. 30 min was too long. Came to this inviting and exciting, yet serene location Monday evening with my bestie. We were warmly greeted by Luis T. He told us about several specials and options despite us already having made our mind up to order the $19.99 large (1 topping pizza) and six pieces chicken wings. We paid an additional $1 for a second topping (pepperoni/sausage). The pizza was delicious and the golden fried wings were moist and flavorful. Our family has loved Shakey's for generations. We usually dine at this location since the kids love the mini arcade. They recently revamped the branding, cleanliness, arcade, and service. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They were diligent on checking in and clearing the table once we were finished. When the Mojo's craving hits we come here. There is just something about their Fried chicken and their thin crust pizza as well. We ordered their family meal that comes with a large pizza, mojos, 8 pieces of chicken. We called in the order and didn't have to wait that long for our food to be done. Love their service and how efficient they were cause they had a bday party there so I know for a fact they were busy. The area was clean and so were the bathrooms, there's a lot of places you can sit if you have a small party or group with you as well. The place is clean and the staffs are friendly, but the pizza on the bunch of lunch was too dry and it looked like it's been sitting there for a while. Me and my family only ate 1 pc pepperoni . Options were cheese, pepperoni, sausage pizza, vegetarian pizza. They were all dry, the cheese was hard and like cardboard. We just ate salad, chicken, mojo. 45 mins later the manager baked a combination sausage without pepperoni. That was the only time I got the fresh pizza, but I was almost done eating. The mozzarella cheese was fresh and stringy. I don't know the standard procedure, but they need to improve the quality and need to refresh the pizza every 15 mins or so. We came for pizza and chicken. We were somewhat disappointed. How I wished there were pepperoni and sausage, combination with meat and vegetables. I have been to this Shakey's many times before, but it has been about 6 months since the last time I was here. The difference between then and now is incredible. There are two things that must be rated. #1. The food was greatly improved. Everything I tried was between very good to excellent! The fried chicken was far better than usual. The pizza was really, really good. Most especially, the Hawaiian Pizza was superb! The crust was very, very thin and the Pizza was loaded with cheese, ham and pineapple. I'm telling you, this food was good. #2 everyone working inside was just as good, if possible, better than the food! At the register, we were greeted by Genavive Trujillo. If the food was just okay, her bright smile and endearing friendliness would be enough for me to return to this place. Before I left, I asked to speak with the manager. I suspect everyone thought I was going to complain about something, but that was not the reason I asked for the manager. Moments later, Luis Tellez introduced himself and asked how he could be of assistance. I told him wanted how good everything was, both the food and the people. Finally, I asked Luis for his name and the young lady that helped to set the register. The shortened version: The food was extremely good and the people were nothing less than spectacular. Beyond friendly staff and delicious food. Simon and his team were fabulous o us from the day u made a reservation to the day of our event. Everyone I mena everyone was so kind and helpful. Went here to celebrate our soccer team (11+ teen boys) end of fall season plus parents and our table was ready good was delicious and even with all the chaos Simon and his team kept a good attitude and patience. Everything! I understand that you cater to families with children. But it's not always a child's palette that partakes the food. We ordered several pizzas for a party of 10, with 4 children. Included a couple of salad bars to liven up the scene. Not sure where we went wrong but several in our party were sick afterwards. Not sure if it was the salad bar or the pizza but it was something at your establishment. Please take time to concentrate on the quality of the food you are preparing and serving and not so much on quantity and profit. When we walked in, we were immediately impressed with how clean the restaurant was. It's not easy to keep a buffet clean, but they do a superb job. One thing we also noticed was that the staff was not composed of teenagers, so that says something. The pepperoni pizza was delicious, probably due to the quality of the cheese!! There was a sausage pizza that had so much sausage that you had a hard time seeing the cheese! The garlic bread was quite garlicky!! There was a good sized salad area. Blew me away! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the Ultimate PCM for my big family , it was phenomenal. The crust was perfectly crispy-chewy, the ingredients fresh and flavorful, and the balance of flavors spot-on. Don't skip the mojos and fried chicken--they're crunchy , soft perfection. Service was fast and attentive, and prices are very reasonable for the quality. Easily one of the best pizza spots in town to enjoy with the family . Staff wasn't rude they helped in a timely manner. They have games for the kids to play and a reward system to return your tickets in. The food was very good and they asked us if we needed anything our entire time there, which we appreciate. The deep dish pepperoni and mojos were amazing and worth the price to feed 4-5 people.
