Without a doubt, the WORST place to eat in the state of Utah! First off, service is horrible. It took twenty minutes to even have anyone acknowledge I was there after being seated. I placed my order, and the person said it would be another 20 minutes for the order to arrive. When the order arrived, the burger was leaking of grease, the fries (cheese fries) were cold, and had practically no fries or even cheese! An order of large fries from McDonalds is bigger, and better quality. this was a $14 dollar order, and was a total waste of time and money!! Avoid this place at all costs! You know, maybe it's just the nostalgia for me, but I do really like this place. It's not as fun as my first experience at the one in Myrtle Beach, but way better that some other locations I've visited. The food was decent and the wait staff was very pleasant and attentive, however they did seem short staffed for a Sunday lunch so they were a little overwhelmed. With all that being said, I do have to agree with the other reviews that the price point does not match up to the quality or the experience. read more

A startling lack of rockets--or any aerospace decor whatsoever! It's another run-of-the-mill 50's diner, with the same old motif, costumes, and music. The server was nice, and pointed me to the spicest item on the menu--the Houston. It sports jalepenos and Frank's sauce. Very surprised by the poor reviews--our experience was SO good!! We requested a booth and they were very accommodating, the burger + malt shake + tots were unreal, my friend got the impossible burger and vegan shake and even those were sooooo yummy!! When Johnny Rocket's opened up at the new outlet mall we got pretty excited. Excitemnet soured when we got a free sandwich for signing up on the web site. We took twin 4 year old boys on this adventure with us knowing that we could get one more sandwich and share with the boys. Right away the staff made us feel welcome. Especially the boys. Our server Siona went out of his way to make these little boys have a great time. He brought out free fries while they waited. Then he split the milk shake for them. Always talking to them. Our hamburgers came out my daughter got the one with swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms. I got the regular Johnny Rockets burger with onion rings. Everything was so fresh and delisious. Be warned, they served up undercooked chicken!! I ordered the grilled chicken salad. One side of the chicken was cooked but the other side was still raw. I spoke to the manager and felt like she was saying all the right things but didn't really realize the gravity of the situation. When I spoke to the waitress about it she said she ate some chicken there recently and it was served to her undercooked as well. Also, if you're a fan of cold fries, this is the place for you! I pretty much love 50s diners. They sat us very quickly in a booth. The food was good and out fast. They got the order right, except for the cheese on my wife's burger. Our last trip here was on Father's Day and we will not be back. It has been steadily declining at this location for quite some time, but this one took the cake. We noticed that they have now removed the patty melt, they replaced it with one that is similar but the burgers were so incredibly greasy that we all ended up sick. We were told that sides no longer come with any of the burgers, as all their prices had gone down. Which was not true, we paid more this time for less than any previous visit. We had to ask for refills, no managers in sight and most of the wait staff were clustered together laughing and carrying on conversation. No music on in the location, so it was easy to hear them. The first time I went to Johnny Rockets I would have rated it a 1 at best, and never planned to go again; however, this is the only restaurant beside the pricey Italian place in this whole mall, and we were waiting out a winter rain storm so this was our option. On the most recent visit, the main issue from the prior was also the main issue this time and that is the long wait times. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone checked in at our table, and about 20 minutes to get our food once we ordered, something not so fun to do with 2, toddlers. That being said, the waiter was very friendly, and attentive. He was good with drinks, and asked extra questions to make sure the kids were taken care of, and didn't just drop the food and run, but asked if we wanted sauces, extra waters, etc. The best part of the visit was the burger I ordered, I did a build your own burger with mostly traditional toppings, plus bacon, grilled onions and some of their special sauces. The burger was really good, very well executed, and the meat particularly was just perfect. My wife ordered the crispy chicken salad, which included wilted lettuce, and fry oil flavored chicken. It was no good. For the kids we got the same fry oil flavored chicken fingers, and not even the kids liked them, they just filled up on the fries, which by the way were decent, but nothing special, and at room temp by the time we got them. Strangely enough I do find myself wanting to go back to Johnny Rockets for that tasty burger. Both my wife and I thought it was just a near perfect burger, so if you do go, I can tell you from this and the other experience that it is the only thing on the menu that is worth anything (at a burger place, imagine that...). read more

I think the other reviews sum this up. It's a family store. The food is mediocre at best. It's gimmicky, and I think kids will like it because of the 50s theme. Anyone over the age of 12 however can see through the 50s decor into the sad, sad souls of the poor teenagers who work here who are forced to sing the bird is the word song once per hour. Nobody needs TWO full glasses of shakes. Nobody needs that many french fries. But bring the kids, experience America, understand why we have an obesity epidemic, and never come back. I don't know how so many people dislike this place! Admittedly, it is a little pricey for burgers and fries but the atmosphere is cool and their jukebox only costs 5 cents! Their burgers were juicy and flavorful with a lot of sauce which I like and the fries are perfect. I also ordered the onion rings which are some of the best onion rings I have had. We have been eating at Johnny Rockets locations for several years, including Florida and Cancun, and we're sorry to say that the Lehi location is a standout for how bad it is. We were seated quickly but noticed that the place is kind of dirty. Our waiter brought our drinks and took our order, but then he disappeared. We spotted him much later, involved in a conversation with a girl he was trying to impress, while our food just sat. (In fact, most of the wait staff appeared to be teenagers hanging out in a group and chatting.) Total time to the table was about an hour, and our food was cold. This is a management issue. This particular Johnny Rockets is not well-run. We will not be back, unless we hear that there is a dramatic change. read more

This place has the telltale signs of managerial neglect (or sloth). Thus the two star review (one star being reserved solely for establishments violating health code regulations). The windows were dirty. Ventilation was drafty. Our cups and plates were chipped, my salad had plenty of wilted leaves, and an abysmally disappointing Houston burger. It was mostly bun, with scant jalapeño and gustatorially absent chipotle sauce. Oh, and they were out of to-go boxes on a Friday night and had been for some time.
