A quick stop in Larkspur and friends said I needed to try the doughnuts at Johnny Doughnuts. What a cute location and omg, how do I choose from the huge selection! I love glazed old fashions so I eyed the chocolate salted caramel doughnut. I generally enjoy a crunchier old fashion. This was a bit cakier and more substantial, but the flavors were so good. I ate half right away and saved half for a snack after a jaunt through Muir Woods. Can't wait to return to Larkspur and try another Johnny Doughnuts offering!

Like always here I was craving something sweet. Not too sweet but sweet nonetheless. Of course I pulled out Yelp and found Johnny Doughnuts. Wholesome, simple and irresistible with every flavor. Johnny has variety, it's inclusive - wheat free, vegan, and not just doughnuts but apple fritters and croissant doughnut (crodough) and coffee. I was heading to a gathering and I could not show up without something. I bought a dozen assorted and I might have eaten one before I even got to the car BUT I digress. These doughnuts are amazing. Busy location but if you are in a rush, there are 4 locations total and they do offer catering events as well.

The donuts here are really yummy. It's at the back side of Marin country mart and there are so many flavors to choose from. It satisfied our sweet tooth and we really enjoyed the seasonal flavors they had. Definitely a treat!

Donuts to go.

Johnny Doughnuts is a sweet find! While waiting for our train after getting off the ferry-we had our sights on lunch but we saw donuts! Better than lunch! This charming donut shop left us wondering how we had never discovered it before! We indulged in the CRODOUGH, a mouthwatering creation that perfectly blends a croissant and a doughnut, filled with creamy Mascarpone -- it was simply dreamy! The service was fantastic: quick, easy, and the staff was informative about their offerings. The atmosphere was just as sweet. The seating area is cute and spacious.

Vegan Doughnuts maple, chocolate and glazed

My friend introduced me to Johnny Doughnuts a few years ago and she often makes the trip from the East Bay to get these delicious donuts. Today I happened to be in the area and decided to pick up a few of the vegan donuts to take home. Made with sweet potato, the vegan donuts available were chocolate, maple and glazed. Definitely a sweet treat that's not as light since it's made with sweet potato, so it is pretty filling but yummy. I could only eat half and I'll save the other half for later. It definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.

Wow! I'm not a doughnut person but I know someone who is. So, I got the four pack. I tried one that was lemon and poppy. It was divine!! It was just the right amount of sweet and tasty. I just wish that doughnuts didn't need to be $22 for a box of four.

Why did the donut go to the dentist? To get a filling. Who doesn't love donuts, and there are some donut lovers in law enforcement lol. However, these are fancy donuts i.e., crodough (croissants & donut), so as a foodie, I love sharing with my colleagues. They're pricey though, yet worth it every time. It's not something I can get every week, but when I do, all smiles in the house. I love when people are happy seeing food, especially donuts. This location has ample parking. 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY)!

I was in the area exploring the farmers market for the first time and came upon this adorable shop. I was sure there would be no vegan options but there were two!! Not only were there some vegan options, they really made it count with having two delectable flavors: coffee zebra (coffee glaze with chocolate drizzle) and chocolate. Usually vegan donuts are cake style but these were yeast donuts, which is a huge bonus (to me anyway!). The donut was plump and fluffy, looking just like their conventional counterparts. The texture of the donut was super fluffy and light, and the coffee glaze was actual coffee! It wasn't that fake coffee essence you get with coffee-flavored pastries. This coffee glaze was robust and full of coffee flavor. You might as well only have the donut without coffee because that glaze made up for the lack of coffee. If their one of two vegan donuts were so amazing, I'm certain the rest of their selection would be top notch! The service was friendly and fast, and the counter where you picked the order was super cute! Just check out the photo! Sorry no donut pic since we devoured that thing before we had a chance to get a photo. Oops! I'll be sure to stop in again the next time I'm in the area.

Wildberry donut. Tons of berries! Very fresh tasting!

We came by today and had a vanilla custard Bismarck which was delicious and the custard was not overly sweet. I also enjoyed my gluten free donut which happened to be a giant today. It's called the "Thang." I took it home and gave half it away to my husband. It was stuffed full of blueberries and had a nice donut cake consistency.

On a weekend adventure to the North Bay, I stopped by the farmers market and stumbled upon Johnny Doughnuts while there. Just through pure brand recognition, I decided to try it out and see what all the hype was about. There was quite a line when I got there, but it moved pretty quickly. Plus it gave me enough time to browse the menu and check out the display to figure out what I wanted. I like that they offer the classics like chocolate and glaze along with some unique flavors. Since I don't often see it at donut shops around me, I went for the brown butter glaze donut. It was good, very sweet though. Definitely a treat for a cheat day. They also offer coffee and teas but we didn't get those. This is a takeout only space with a covered outdoor patio / picnic table area right up front. I wish they made the prices more easy to find though. It's not on their big menu - just the types of donuts. It's not on the donut display either which, if you're budgeting, makes it a little harder to decide which one you'd like. It ends up being around $3-5 per donut.

Pick up a couple of donuts from here on the way back from Bodega Bay, glad we stop because their donuts were good and not sweet just the way I like it. The Blueberry Lime Cake was delicious!! So is the Birthday Cake. The service was moving pretty fast.

Very average tasting & flavors. Outside seating only. Cons: grease bombs (more than usual or compared to others. Expensive = $5 ea,, no stand out flavors. The other "Johnnys" which is not connected is much better tasting. Won't be going back.

Maple Bar, Brown Butter Raised, and Crodough. All were fab.

Doughnuts are uniquely delicious and fresh. Worth the price. I had the crodough which was deliciously crisp and cream had fresh apples which added a great freshness to the bite.

I was here a few months ago and saw a coffee table book that stayed in my mind because I wanted to…read moregift it to someone. I forgot the name and came back in today hoping someone might know what I was talking about. Both of the women at the counter were incredibly helpful and genuinely tried to help me figure it out. Not just polite, but truly engaged and caring. Honestly, it's hard to find service like that these days, especially in Marin, and they really went above and beyond. The coffee is amazing, the vibe is wonderful, and the people made such a difference today. Thank you so much for your kindness and help. It genuinely meant a lot and made me want to keep coming back.

I almost don't want to write this review because this is the kind of place you selfishly want to…read moregatekeep. I found myself here after yet another underwhelming stop at Cafe Verde -- which people recommend to me constantly. And every time I go, I leave confused. It's rarely full. The pricing is steep. And the attitude sometimes feels like, "There will always be another customer." So I walked a few minutes down the street and ended up at Endless Coffee. Different universe. I've had their coffee. I've had their specialty drinks. I've had their matcha multiple times now -- and it's $6. Six. In Corte Madera. Meanwhile, the $10 matcha down the street isn't even in the same league in terms of quality or balance. That price-to-quality ratio alone should have a line out the door. The space is small -- about five tables inside, four outside -- but it works. There are always a few parking spots nearby. It feels local in a real way, not a curated way. I see familiar baristas when I go in, but I also notice new team members. It feels like a business that's growing, adjusting, trying to get better. They have a rewards program. They're clearly refining their systems. And most importantly, the service never feels complacent. No one acts like they're doing you a favor by taking your order. You're acknowledged. You're treated like your business matters. That difference is subtle -- but it's everything. I genuinely do not understand how this place isn't consistently packed while others with higher prices and less warmth are. If you care about quality, value, and being treated like an actual guest, this is the spot in Corte Madera. Skip the hype. Walk a few extra steps. Order the matcha.
