Everything Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese
    Katja K.

We biked here from SF and it was the perfect carb to fuel our ride. They offered something for everyone from gluten free options and even vegan cream cheese! All off us were full and happy with from our delicious bagels. We didn't have to wait long, and sat outside (no indoor seating available). For a reasonable price this place hit the spot.

We've been to Boichik a number of times since moving to Marin (about 6 mos ago). They're always busy, and they are usually pretty good about getting our order ready quickly. One time our order was wrong, as they put salmon on the Vegan Hat Trick, and the manager Abraham comped our next visit for us. They offer Kite Hill plant based cream cheese, which happens to be my husband's fave cream cheese, so this is a big plus. Overall, we are quite happy with Boichik and will continue to support them.

This was my first time trying out this bagel spot, and I will say that as someone who loves bagels, I was super happy with not only the taste of the bagel but just the location of it. It's such an amazing spot to just catch up with a friend and treat yourself to a bagel. Quick service and not too busy at noon. Although I was a bit confused about the menu since there wasn't a quick reference or clear direction to follow, I was still happy with the quality of the bagels!

Great chew--like a real New York bagel. At $3.25, not as expensive as I expected. I had heard multiple times that their bagels are $5, which is why it took me so long to try the much-anticipated first Boichik outpost in Marin. I had a salt bagel, my favorite. I still think House of Bagel in San Rafael is the best in the area and I have a particular fondnes for the Montecito Bagel Street Cafe because the salt bagels are always still warm (if you can get one before they sell out!) but Boichik is a great addition to Marin. Nice outdoor seating and conveniently located next to Equator.

My open-faced bagel I made at home.

Can't get my bagel open-faced? Are you kidding me? Literally the employee said he COULD NOT prepare my bagel open-faced. When I asked why, he said they don't have enough packaging to support it. I said, ok you can put it in a piece of paper. He said. I cannot. I will not be back. Stupidest thing I have ever heard. Please consider offering open-faced bagels for other customers. It is a thing! I went home and made my own.

Boichik Bagels has arrived to the North Bay. This spot's in a cute complex on the south edge of Latkspur. Street parking was easy on the side streets. This location is set up for efficient takeout with a decent sized prep space and a small counter that moves quickly. The convenient self-service freezer allows to quickly grab a half dozen of the classic bagels or smaller pack of bialys. Bonus: Boichik is next to locally-based Equator Coffee. Wander next door and then enjoy some of the region's best coffee with your yummy sesame bagel!

Sesame bagel with lox spread! Delish!!

Was actually very surprised to see some of the negative reviews, as my experience has been very positive. Boichik claims to be a true NY style bagel, and they are so accurate! I loved my sesame bagel that was lightly toasted with a perfect blended lox spread. The bagel has a deep, yeast flavor and is perfectly chewy with a nice crust on the exterior. The service was super fast and polite. It's fun to see all of the activity behind the counter--great atmosphere!!

We love stopping by Boichik Bagels for a quick and delicious breakfast! Their eggything bagel is fantastic. The shop is conveniently located right next to Equator Coffees, so you can grab a perfectly paired coffee with your bagel. Fresh, flavorful, and always a great way to start the day!

Front of store at Boichik Bagels in Larkspur

Berkeley's favorite bagel shop, Boichik Bagels, opened up today in Larkspur. A long line here is no surprise, but it moved quickly, and included a warm welcome from the owner, Emily Winston, and a camera crew here to film the opening. Given a business defining blessing by Bon Appetit magazine in 2023, headquartered in New York City, who deemed them The Very Best Bagels in the US (outside New York, and they would know!) and an earlier feature (2021) in The NY Times, Boichik's opening day in Marin was anticipated by many local fans and the line here was proof of that. Many, many varieties of bagels here including egg, a bialy, and and four types of pumpernickel. I tried the whitefish sandwich on toasted poppy and added cucumber, tomato and red onion. A classic order and a solid rendition. Also enjoyed a toasted sesame bagel with their seasonal Fall cream cheese (apple, ginger maple.) A delicious addition to Marin that will be appreciated and is sandwiched (pun intended, sorry, not sorry) next to another local favorite woman-owned business, Equator Coffee. For now, bagels are baked at their home factory in Berkeley & delivered fresh each morning. Come and get ''em while they are hot!

The people here were very kind and welcoming. I loved the overall vibe and the sign outside. However, I was surprised that they did not have plain cream cheese or other spreads. For a bagel shop, being out of plain cream cheese feels like a big miss. I ended up getting an everything bagel with butter, which was excellent, but I still wish they had the classic option available.

Situated next door to a cool little coffee shop, Boichik Bagels hit the right note with me. I ordered a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. It was an excellent bagel. It had that nice firm outside with tender inside crumb. Good and chewy like a bagel should be. The cream cheese was really nice. Very creamy and smooth. No inside seating but beautiful shared patio seating outside.

THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAGEL SHOP!!! The bagels here are so good and the service is always so quick! I love walking here in the morning and grabbing a delicious everything bagel with chive cream cheese. Abraham, is especially nice!!! Boichik is a great addition to downtown Larkspur. I'm so grateful for this cute little shop

I had what I always get at delis: matzo ball soup and a pastrami sandwich. The matzo balls were hard and thick, which is one of the two ways to make matzo balls, the other being soft and fluffy. This way isn't wrong, but the other is better. The broth is good, but there was no shredded chicken in it, just tiny cubes of inconsistently cooked vegetable, celery and onion and I'm not sure what all else. The pastrami was quite lean but managed to be fairly juicy. I'm pretty sure it was made from brisket, which is not the canonical pastrami cut. The important part is that it tasted like pastrami and not like brisket, which a lot of would-be pastramis can't manage. Get it "tradition" style on rye with deli mustard. The resulting vibes of inconvenience when they had to back out the item and then try to figure out how to refund me? I told them to keep the difference because the service took such a noticeable dip. Although they have quite a bit of seating, when I got my fries the flavor just wasn't there and even though piping hot some pieces were still raw in the middle. Finally, the quality on my side of pastrami wasn't good and after googling it apparently they buy from a confidential source. Overall, in my experience their food tasted like lower level diner fare and I threw out most of it out.

The tofu scramble has fresh veggies, but very little seasoning, so it's quite bland. The avocado toast is literally avocado on toast, no fun garnishes or seasonings. With its spacious seating, glass enclosed doughnut display, walk up wall menu on the exterior and its open concept register counter it is truly inviting. With a menu of unique flavors and those same flavor options beautifully displayed behind a glass window, we had to order a few to try. Flavors available were coffee cake, blueberry lime, lime poppyseed, vegan guava, and chocolate chip cronut - these five we ordered, Other flavors included brown butter glaze, strawberry, chocolate vanilla crème, raspberry jam, cinnamon glaze and sprinkles. Lemon blueberry was very lemon forward with subtle notes of blueberry. The doughnut itself was crusty and soft at the same time. We enjoyed the pairing and texture. The coffee cake was just that, a crusty soft dough with the crumbly topping of coffee cake goodness and all those spices too. The lime poppyseed was light, soft and airy with a citrusy zing of lime. It was the most refreshing of them all and this is coming from someone who is not a big fan of lime. The guava was like biting into the fruit, not too sweet on an airy, soft dough. The chocolate chip cronut was a flaky layered croissant like dough that tasted like a chocolate chip cookie with a decadent chocolate frosting. It was quite the pleasurable treat, our daughter loved it. The staff, compiled of two women at the front, were friendly with smiles. Our treats were packaged in a beautiful white and gold box, it looked elegant when presented to us. There is the availability of drinks to order like tea and coffees.
