I did end up buying a 2018 Hyundai Elantra w/13k miles on it.. they had actually just got the car & were still in process of fixing a few things. Because I bought the car over a holiday weekend, they were not able to get it into the shop for a few days so they allowed me to take the car home until the shop was open and at that time they gave me a nice reliable motor car while my car was worked on.. they fixed everything. Once I hit my car back I realized it was pulling to the left & seemed like the alignment needed to be done.. with no hesitation they arranged a time for me to drop off the vehicle and get a loaner car so that they could fix the issue.. figured out something in the alignment was bent so they fixed it & in the meantime I gave birth.. this shop is located in Honolulu & I live deep in the west side. My husband is military and works 24/7 therefore I am full-time mom and with a newborn it was stressful thinking about how I was going to get to Honolulu to pick up my car.. no worries.. they sent a driver out to switch cars right at my house. I can not recommend this shop enough.. they are reasonable, reliable & affordable. They are up front & honest. I had a great experience & highly recommend Today Auto!!

If you are reading this, it's probably because you are looking to buy a car from Auto Source…read more Listen to the scores of bad reviews, they are trying to save you the trouble of dealing with Auto Source, and Oahu's most notorious predatory used car salesman, Rima Braden. First of all the car that caught your eye, is likely just a shell of what it appears to be. Many of the cars sold at Auto Source have serious mechanical problems. You will be told not to worry, that all maintenance is included in their Carousel program and wont cost you a cent. What that really means is that you are not permitted to have anyone else check the vehicle, only AS can repair the vehicle, per their contract. And they will ignore requests for repair, gaslight you and treat you as if you are problematic when you do need repairs. Registration and safety checks are also allegedly included, and they are almost as difficult to get done as actual repairs. They also do their own safely checks and do not comply with state law, I can prove that they slapped a safety check sticker on my vehicle, when it did not have a working headlight or brake lights or safe tires. Used car salesmen often use a tactic called 'the waiting game', where the customer is left alone for long periods of time. This is done to create decision fatigue, as isolation lowers your resistance to bad terms. This is Rima's favorite tactic and it will be replayed every time you need something. He has asked me to come in to speak with him about my vehicle, which was in the shop repeatedly for the same issue, only to leave me alone in a room for hours. After HE made the appointment. Ultimately I sat there for nothing, despite Rima's text advising he would switch the car out, he did nothing to rectify the situation. His staff also commonly switches their phones to airplane mode, when they answer a call that they don't feel Like dealing with. The red flags are there from the beginning. Don't ignore them. Look around you. Customers are being given iPads to sign their contracts on, after hours of being stuck in the dealership. They are anxious and discouraged from reading the contract. Once signed, AutoSource will not automatically send a copy. In fact, they won't give you a copy of it even if you request numerous times. They will tell you that they report to credit agencies, they do not. They will tell that you are entitled to the unused portion of your security deposit, if you end your lease before the two year period is up, they will not. They will tell you that you are entitled to rebates for purchasing EV from them, you are not getting any rebates because they are not an authorized dealer. In my case, I leased a car via Carousel+ program. I already had a car and was trying to improve my credit. The salesman and Rima lied to my face because they do not report to credit bureaus. The vehicle I leased smelled of oil at the test drive. I was told it was from a spill, not to worry, the car had been owned by an elderly gentleman. I seriously doubted that, and would intimately find out that the car was in a terrible accident where a pedestrian was maimed. Nice. Anyway, I kept taking the car back in for the same problems over and over. Many times they would have it for a week or more. In August of 2025, they had it more than I did. And no, they did not supply a loaner car, as promised at purchase. Twice I got loaners, only after practically begging. Both times they were clunkers. At one point my car's interface was telling me that the engine was malfunctioning, and would not ho over 40mph. AutoSource knew this for months and would gaslight me as if I were lying, despite taking it in and showing them They admitted the car did the same thing during their test drive and they did nothing. Ultimately I was told to return the vehicle and the unused portion of my deposit would be returned. Spoiler alert: it was not. To make things even more fun still get billed because these guys kept the car in my name, and frequent parking garages in kakaako that charge my card. For context, I returned the car 7 months ago. And yes, of course I told Rima and of course he did nothing. I realize that a lot of used car dealerships have bad reputations, but AutoSource makes most of them look like saints. I invite you to look Auto Source, and Rima up on ecourtkokua. Look at the pages and pages of lawsuits filed against this business, the BBB's non recommendation, and lastly these reviews. You will see a common theme. Believe your neighbors over the guy who gets commission for making another sale for Rima.

Usually when you start the car, this will turn off, but it didn't and I was unable to get my car going for several days. I read the user manual and tried to troubleshoot it and even charged my battery to make sure that was not an issue. But when there was no avail, I called the dealer to make an appointment. They did not have anything that week, but told me that if I had the car towed to the dealership, they would "work me" in that week. A whole week went by. I heard nothing from them. I called them a week later to see where we were and to inquire if they found out what was wrong with my car. I was surprised to find out that they hadn't even looked at my car. On speaking with the head of the service department, I was told they would try to see if they could look at my car by the end of the week. I told them that was not really acceptable as I wouldn't have had a functioning car for two weeks and I needed to go to work. After that conversation, they suddenly had an opening and was able to fix my car that day. When it comes to actually servicing the car, there's no issues with that, but I've noticed that their customer service has definitely dwindled over the last several years. When I first bought my car, they had such excellent service as you can see from my prior review, which I gave them 5/5 stars. They also had a shuttle service and could drop you off so you didn't have to wait at the dealership, but ever since Covid six years ago, that was never brought back. Kind of wish they'd bring back their award-winning customer service. Definitely missed.

Yep, just like the other hundreds of 1 star reviews, my experience with their service department is…read morethe worse and most incompetent I have encountered in my whole life. Without going into all the horrible details I'll just explain a few. First, I went to purchase a part, they said they can't sell it to me without running a diagnostic on my car, so I needed to make an appointment. I walk over the the service department to make an appointment, they said the first they can take me is in 7 weeks. I took my car in 7 weeks later. They say it would be an all day job, maybe 2. they did not call me that day, so I called them the next day. No answer, so I leave a message for an update. No call back. I call everyday for the rest of the week, No Answer/No Call back. The following week, I walk in and ask for an update. The update they give me is "I can't give you a definitive answer". What the heck does that mean?! After 2 weeks of no calls or updates, I walk in again and they tell me no progress and the mechanic working on my car is on vacation. I just ask for my car back. This must happen all the time cause they just said ok and gave me my keys. I can't believe they represent Cadillac, an American luxury auto brand. Their owners (Lithia Motors) are one of the largest auto retailers in the US. So I'm sure Cadillac is afraid of pulling their dealership. They have more 1 star Yelp reviews than 2-5 star reviews combined. Their BBB rating is a D-. They have just 1 service advisor, which by the way, if you stand in their waiting area, all you hear is her apologizing to everyone. She is so shell shocked poor girl must just get hammered by unhappy customers all day, every day.

Excited for Hawaii? Looking to rent a car? You get what you pay for here…read more Booked the cheapest rental we could find through Priceline. Economy Rent A Car and A1-Auto Sales are together and is located over a mile outside Daniel K. Inouye International Airport so you'll need to locate the Economy shuttle van to transport you here. Staff: Upon arrival, the lady employee was nice. Vehicle: We'd thought we have a nicer van for rental. We then received this 2014 Nissan Quest. This van has definitely seen better days. The vehicle was dirty and not well maintained. The transmission was slipping and It had the low-tire pressure system pop up and I've informed the employee to have a mechanic fill the tire up. The rear view mirror fell off and we had to reconnect it. The vehicle may have been bought from an auction and they're selling the vehicle online. Verdict: Arriving at Honolulu and straight to this rental was a bad experience. Vehicle was out of shape and location was horrible. Only bright side was the employee who helped us, she was very nice.

I asked to return the car one day earlier, but they refused to adjust my reservation even though the payment had not yet been processed. When I called to speak with a supervisor, instead of helping resolve the issue, he gave me an explanation that made no sense, became irritated when I questioned it, called me "ignorant," and hung up on me. The customer service was completely unacceptable. On top of that, getting to the rental location requires finding a shuttle that only comes about every 15 minutes, making the process even more inconvenient. Save yourself the frustration. Whatever money you think you're saving is not worth the poor service and hassle. I would not recommend this rental company and will never use them again.

Before visiting Lucky Owl, I went to another dealership where I found a car at a great price and took it for a test drive. Unfortunately, the salesperson was evasive when answering questions and only informed us after the test drive that the vehicle had a rebuilt title. I was concerned about potential insurance issues and the vehicle's future resale value, so I decided to keep looking. My significant other had previously purchased a car from Lucky Owl and worked with Alex, so we decided to check them out. We had already found three vehicles online that we were interested in, and after letting Alex know, all three were ready for us to view and test drive when we arrived. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Alex was friendly, honest, and never made us feel pressured. Once we decided on a vehicle and completed the paperwork, the process was quick and incredibly easy. I am so grateful that I was able to purchase my car from Lucky Owl. This is the second vehicle our family has bought from them, and both experiences have been outstanding. Alex's kindness, professionalism, and commitment to making the buying process smooth and stress-free are why we keep coming back. I highly recommend Lucky Owl to anyone looking for a quality vehicle and a hassle-free car-buying experience.
