Passed this place many times and finally decided to try it. Fish was heavily breaded and still doughy in spots. Butterfly Shrimp was a little better, decent breading. I always get good food at Jocko's. The gizzards are my favorite in the area. The people are nice, it's clean, and food is darned good when you're craving quick fried seafood. I usually get a fish dinner and a side of clams. Everything I've tried here has been good, much better than LJS or Captain D. read more

Jockos name never "sounded good" so it took a year before we actually tried it on the recommendation of a friend. What we had been missing! It is now our go to place for fish mood. Drive by this place every day and see the sign world famous chicken and seafood. So I finally decided to try it. Noticed the drive thru was about 5 deep so I parked and walking in. It was clean building had some years on it . Service was fast and friendly. Prices we very good. My 3 piece chicken tenders and 2 sides was 6.99. Nice meaty tenders cooked perfect. Food is pretty good and you get a decent amount for the price. Typical chicken/seafood menu and good side options. Location/parking SUCKS!!!! Did I mention how the location and parking sucks!? Used to love jockos chicken dinners. I would pick up dinner at least once a month for years. But the last couple of years the quality has gone downhill. Smaller side dishes. Potatoes tasted fake and the biscuits are from a can. The green beans tasted of grease. I don't mind grease but this was just nasty. Couldn't eat them. Don't think that i will ever go back. This is s converted Lee's Famous Recipe franchise with two locations, the other in Hamilton. Typical chicken menu, but they have a seafood menu as well, comparable to Captain D's more than Long John Silvers. It is reasonable, and they have coupon specials in the local adverts.
