We stopped here for lunch and were very happily surprised by the food and service! My group had burgers & grilled cheese with fries.

Looking for a spot to eat, saw a couple of good reviews for hamburgers. Hannah was wonderful brought the drinks brought the food. The food was great. Me and my friends stopped in here one night to kinda get a feel for a bachelorette party we will be having. Overall we loved this place laid back and chill with pool and darts and jukebox. The brothers behind the bar were great treated us like old friends good eye candy for the ladies as well I have come back several more times and gotten food from the bald guy (don't know his name) but the food was great, portions were big and he was super friendly and helpful. Say it with me: hidden gem. Yeah I know, that phrase is really overused but in this case, it fits. Like a glove. This is a total gem of a joint, and yes it is hidden off the heavily beaten path, and SO GLAD that we finally found it! I've been twice now and I'm confident in going all the way for my rating, because when it comes to BARS that serve FOOD in this area, it doesn't get any better. I enjoyed the best chicken Caesar salad I have ever had. From the creamy and tangy homemade dressing to the oh so fresh perfectly chopped romaine, to the delicious grilled, sliced, tender and juicy chicken. You know how when you "add chicken" to a salad at most bars it's in strips, a little overdone and kind of all around meh? Not so here. It's perfect, and I had it twice. My husband has also tried their Cobb salad as well as a rib dinner special, plus I went crazy on their soft pretzels (which are actually pretzels, not those log shaped things). Everything is delicious. There is a decent variety of dishes to choose from, even pasta. This is one of the friendliest bars I've been to in half a decade and it seems like one can become a regular pretty quick here. It's a true neighborhood watering hole, a great place to throw back a few generous drinks, shoot some pool, watch a game, play some Keno, and most of all just get in on some fun bar conversation. They've got a nice back deck, well covered with seating, ashtrays, AND a heater for those icy nights. On our second visit (even on the first) we were chatting with regulars and staff like we knew them forever. The owner Mike greeted us at the door like old friends, and came over to let us know they had NFL Sunday ticket and was there any particular game we wanted to see. Talk about welcoming! Assorted specials are posted for every night. Ladies night, Wednesday sounds pretty good. The karaoke night is Monday. Since karaoke is something you either love or loathe, I figured I'd let you know that. A total dive bar but sometimes that's okay! They do serve food but the kitchen tends to close around 9:30 or 10pm so plan accordingly if you want food when you come here. We got some potato skins, a cheeseburger with fries, and a chicken tender basket. The chicken tenders were very tasty!!! They tasted like actual chicken that deep fried vs commercially made chicken strips you can get everywhere. Drinks were good too. Not too strong and not too weak. Ever since Jungle Jim's built a second location in Eastgate, my desire to travel to Fairfield, Ohio has been minimal to none. No offense to Fairfield but driving down State Route 4 towards Hamilton is a pretty sad state of affairs (No offense to Hamilton but you suck). Fortunately, there is a diamond in the rough along the Hamilton Trail and it is Sneaky Pete's. Last year Sneaky Pete's was your typical hometown bar. It donned a full stocked bar, ample seating, and about a half dozen pool tables. Something happened recently though that everyone should know about and that is the addition of a new food menu. I'd heard the food here was exceptional but I had to travel here to experience it firsthand. The food here truly speaks for itself Grippos Burgers, Grippos Mac n Cheese, Cajun Pasta, Jamaican Wings, Fried Pickles, Fresh Cut Fries. The list goes on. This is without question the best bar food I've ever had anywhere. Don't let the exterior fool you, this looks like a hole-in-the-wall bar, but inside you'll find real chefs cooking real food. Stopped in here after reading some good reviews for a bite and drink before our drive back to Louisville. Bar goers very welcoming and friendly! Bartender Danielle very knowledgeable and a wonderful person to have serving you! Prices seemed fair and reasonable for what you got. Disappointed in the food though. Boyfriend got the grippo burger which I was excited about. When I first tasted the the burger it stood out there was a taste of old grease like the grill had not been cleaned in a while. Wings were okay nothing to brag about.. House made chips great though! All around 3 stars from me. Pool tables, good bartender, decent food choices, hole in the wall spot. I'm really shocked to see all the high ratings! I've frequented this bar since 2013. Good drinks, decent atmosphere, and I love the regulars. I went back for the first time in about a year and was told I need two forms of ID even to enter. I'm nearly 30 so that was odd, as well as the fact that I have known the bartender for 4 years. Later on, after leaving, we were told the reason for 2 forms of ID is because they're having problems with violence and drugs and the extra ID serves as a deterrent for the average person. The wife and I decided we wanted to try someplace new so we stopped in here after hearing good things. It's location is a bit weird but omg did we find a gem. The bartenders (Kristen and Nicole) were super sweet and very knowledgeable they had a wide selection of drinks and some local beers on tap. We asked a few regulars what they recommended food wise they said well (Alex) is here get the burger or Fish. My wife got grouper bites which tasted extremely fresh and I got a burger. My burger was cooked perfect medium and seasoned to perfection. To say we were very pleasantly surprised is an understatement. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. Stopped in here for lunch today base solely on proximity and Yelp reviews. What an awesome pleasant surprise! The wait staff was great and attentive for sure, but the food was absolutely amazing! It's about a 45 minute ride from our home but we're here purchasing a new vehicle down the road and have to say we will stop back next time we're on this side of town! Maybe even make a special trip for it. We had fried mushrooms, some boneless wings, steak quesadilla, and the real magic..... The gripped burger! Juicy and delicious as was everything else. This is definitely a time I was mislead by reviews. This review will definitely be shorter than most because I didn't try the food. Basically because the place reeked of cigarette smoke, or something. Not exactly sure why, or what, but it did. I know there are a few narrow exceptions with the law out there, but I don't think that includes inside public bars. Before I said anything about it a few people in the group said the same, so I knew it just wasn't me (since I'm sensitive to it.) Regardless, we couldn't sit at the bar because it was shoulder to shoulder (so yes, the place seems popular) so we sat at a high top. We were the only ones. After waiting ten minutes, we decided to leave. It was all the waiting and smell I could tolerate. Perhaps no one saw us since there was NO one else in the place. I hate giving it such a rating after everyone else rated it so high, but if I read a review like this prior it could have saved me a lot of time and grief, since I recommended it to the group after seeing their Yelp rating.... read more

Do not be swayed by the surroundings. The food is really really good for bar food. I had a chicken sandwich and it was really moist and the bun was delicious. The chicken wings were a good size and the medium sauce had just the right heat. My husband is from upstate New York and is particular about chicken wings and he said they were good! Our friend had a hamburger and it was so big I was amazed he was able to eat it!! We also had chicken nachos and mozzarella sticks. Both were great. This is a great place for a couple drinks and good food. Friday happy hour is always a good time. Between golden tee and multiple pool tables we have plenty to keep us busy. Great groups of working class people make for good conversation every time I stop in. I'm a chicken wing guy and these are just as good as anywhere else. Almost forgot, there is a big patio out back that is great on nice days and plenty of TV'S to catch any game you are looking for. They have such good food here! To me that makes up for the slim beer selection and sometimes cigarette smell of the place. They also have several pool tables which is nice and drinks are cheap. Recently we tried the cheeseburger dip which I thought was amazingly good. And it was only $5 during happy hour. Another must try is the pretzels! Oh and the Mac and cheese. Don't let the outside of this restaurant fool you. We were looking for a restaurant in Fairfield and decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews on Yelp. I ordered the fish tacos and when they arrived at he table I wanted to take a photo. Unfortunately, they looked so incredible I started eating them before I remembered to snap a photo. They were probably the best fish tacos I've tried. Sneaky Pete's has a very diversified menu. We met the chef, Cory, and he explained the secret to everything are the fresh ingredients and his 20 years of experience. Cory is from Jamaica so next time I am thinking the jerk chicken might be in order. March 17, 2016 they are having traditional Irish food. If you are looking for bar food this is a real bar that serves food as a sideline. It reeks of smoke although I didn't see anyone smoking, has pool tables and televisions at etc.. It just seems like a typical neighborhood bar. The drinks are a good price, but limited taps. It was a Saturday night when we went there, they had one bartender working so she was working as hard as she could but she might have needed more help. We were at a table and it took her a while to get to us and of course the locals at the bar were attended to promptly, again understandable. The couple that went with had some burgers and they said they were good so that's a positive. My boyfriend and I got take out from here today (New Years day). When we went to pick it up the bar was PACKED for the OSU game. Nicole the bartender is friendly, professional and prompt and the food was exceptional. A wide variety and creative menu. We got steak and shrimp Alfredo and fried pickles. This place is a dive. No, seriously, it's a dive. In every sense of the word, Sneaky Pete's is a classic, smokey, greasy burger dive. Now, I happen to like a good dive. but if you're looking for hipster, craft beer, hummus-serving scene that disguises itself as a dive, this ain't it. It's dark, mildly smoky and serves both kinds of beer: Bud and Bud Light (well, a couple more but you get the point). The burger was greasy dive-joint perfection, but I have to say the fries were badly under-cooked despite me asking for them crispy. The bartender/waitress was wonderful. Pool tables were good. The place is begging for a couple decent dart boards, but none to be seen. One thing a bit disconcerting, however, was that another customer had their dog in the bar. Friendly dog, mostly just sat in the chair and walked around the pool tables a bit. I don't know what the Health Department would think about non-service animals roaming an establishment that serves food, but I prefer dog-friendly places be outdoor dining. Overall, this is a great place for post-softball game pitchers, you may want to look elsewhere for date night or dinner with the kids. read more

A perfect little hole in the wall pool hall bar. One of those "should we really go in?!" Kind of places that turns out to be great. I had blackened fish with green beans and Cole slaw. Get the sauce on the side or they drown it, but it is good (just a bit salty). On the side it would be fine. The Cole slaw is really different and chunky - I love it! I compare all coleslaw to this now! The cheeseburger dip is killer - definitely NOT good for you, but great for a greasy pub snack! The drinks were pretty reasonable and they have lots of tvs for the game or whatever. Give em a try, don't expect the ritz or anything, but a great small local place. read more
