Red Bicycle is a new addition since I moved out of town. I decided to give it a try and catch up with a friend for breakfast while I was back in town for the holidays. We went early, probably around 7:15 am and not many people were there. No lines or long waits. The food and coffee were FANTASTIC! The food took about 15-20 minutes to come out but it's because everything is obviously made from scratch to order. I ordered the Wake Up Crepe and split a side of hash browns with my friend. The portions were generous. We stayed and chatted awhile and by about 10:30 it was really starting to pick up. A lot of people were coming through and most of the tables were full. One of our favorite things were seeing what other people's table markers were. Ours are pictured Macho Man and Dalton. Haha! More in a residential spot so on the way there it makes you feel like you're going through just subdivisions and hey for those living around it, awesome! We ate there and while waiting for our order to come up, we were all salivating just looking at all the other people's food My kids thought it was fun that they give out table "numbers" for food that are actually pics of famous characters, like Superman and Indiana Jones. So when you're order is ready, they say "Superman, your order is ready" Everything is cooked to order, so the wait seemed longer than other places we've been for coffee, but only bc most places aren't cooking this fresh lol Omg food is amazing!! Red bicycle is a gem I discovered right in my old neighborhood (and they are opening up a new location downtown Murfreesboro as well). It's a great breakfast and coffee spot. We stopped in here for an early brunch and I enjoyed it! I am visiting the area for work, but I will definitely give them another try. You order from the cashier, then sit down and wait for your food. It was packed, but everything came out in a decent amount of time. The seating is kind of limited, you have to order then find an open seat or table. That could be challenging for a bigger group. They have many coffee choices! I had the Butter Beer Iced and it tasted great! The Avo on everything bagel was delicious!! My friend was not too impressed with their waffle choice. It was not cooked long enough. It was a bit pricy for me, but not too bad. I would recommend tying this place. read more

A great looking on-line menu and curiosity driven by my passing it frequently while driving ride share finally drew me into the place. I was in the neighborhood, right at lunch time. BAM. In I went and I liked it. Craft beer and coffee clearly highlighted their menu but since I was driving and wanted a beverage to compliment my burger, I passed. There were many nice dishes offered, but I simply chose a basic burger to complete my review. I'm glad I did, but it was pricey - about $18 with tip for a burger, fries and iced tea. Of course, a great tasting iced tea that stands up to ice is a nice surprise. I got mine unsweet and enjoyed it with my meal and the free refill! The burger was very nice size and did not hide underneath the lovely bun and toppings. It spoke clearly through all that with a nice beef flavor. Given that they prepared it fresh, I wish I had gotten it medium, because the served it well done. Well done is not my favorite. Too many French Fries filled the rest of the plate. Shoestring style, they were nicely done. They were crisp on the outside and light on the inside. They topped it off with some herbs that were not overpowering. Stopped in Joanie's for the first time a few days ago to grab a bite. I ordered the Patty Melt without onions, and some fries. First the Good -- the fries were great....hot, salted, crunchy outside and still tender inside. The burger on the patty melt was BIG, easily large enough for two to share. Now the Bad -- the burger wasn't seasoned at all. No salt, pepper, garlic, nada. No "magic sauce". It was extremely bland. I was surprised that everything you add to the burger is extra. I can understand an upcharge for bacon or tomato, but you have to pay extra for mayo or pickles?? And finally, the Ugly -- I read through several other yelp reviews before leaving this one. It's disturbing that the business owner jumps in to squabble with anyone leaving a negative review. Very childish and unprofessional. If someone has had a bad experience at a restaurant the last thing they want is someone mansplaining that since their restaurant was featured in an article, or they won a prize in a M'boro restaurant contest, then the reviewer must be a liar. Really? Your cook never makes mistakes? Or the servers? I think a "sorry your last visit wasn't all you hoped it'd be. Great local spot! I don't mind the location at all. We grabbed our food to go and took it over to the park nearby for a picnic. The food was packed well to go and the service was very quick. The employees were friendly, but they did seem a bit overwhelmed by how busy it was at the time. The girl taking my order had some trouble hearing me because of how loud it was. This is not really a place I would go to study or work on my laptop, but more of a place I would meet a friend for a bite to eat and to catch up. I ordered the seasonal Sweater Weather iced latte. It was delicious! I will definitely come back to try other flavors. I also had the TBA sandwich with fries. My meal was really impressive. I don't normally go for a sandwich, but this is something I would get over and over again. I loved the sauce that came with it. We have returned a few times to have coffee, before the Corona and since. It is still very nice, very clean, looks great inside. But mostly, they are kind. It has become a blech feeling to go out to most places. Many spots are still closed or offering only curb-side. With everyone else shut down, overreacting, and very somber, this place is a source of healing for the angry soul. The big chains may have found it more profitable to just continue running a drive-through, but that misses the point of a coffee shop. Community. The servers are delightful, pour a hot brew, and have kept their inviting ambiance. For a few minutes in here, you can slip back into normalcy, hear people chatting and laughing. I ordered a hamburger, fries and a butter beer latte online. The online ordering works well. I received a text that my order was ready for pickup. The online system said the order would take about 45 mins to get ready, and I got the text 10 minutes prior to that. Good deal. I head over to Red Bicycle, and this is last Sunday (June 7). I pull up and the place is packed! Every chair at every table taken. A line of 7 people standing at the front counter waiting to be served. I walk in with my mask on, and not a single person in the place had a mask on, and neither did the employees. I guess COVID-19 is all gone now, and I was the last one to get the memo. I asked for my meal at the counter. The nice girl working there said it will be just a moment, and then she went to serve a table. She then grabbed my food, and said it will be another minute while she makes my drink. Normally, that would be fine, but I'd rather not wait in a restaurant full of COVID-19 germ spreaders. She was quick enough with the drink, and she handed it to me, and I went out the nearest door, passing in between people standing in line. Wow! I guess the thing that really strikes me is the amount of people in this area that just put their heads in the sand and pretend it's all made up, when it is something they don't want to hear about or believe. I got home and honestly, the burger was really good. It was the mushroom, bacon burger. The fries only just okay. The butter bear latte was just so-so. This was my first time eating at Red Bicycle and I had looked forward to their food for 3 full months! Now to the problem at hand! If you are a business and you are saying that you are going to keep your customers safe during this Pandemic (that does still exist), then do it. Nowhere did I see social distancing anywhere. I didn't even see employees cleaning because the two employees I saw were working a very busy front counter. Please don't tell people you are going to follow the guidelines, and then just not do it. So, here is where I am at with Red Bicycle. I will not be ordering food again, unless you offer curb side delivery, or regular home delivery. I'm just not going to visit you until that is a reality. I'd be willing to give you all another shot, if that becomes reality again. Oh, and $25 for a burger, fries, and a latte is a bit over priced. Just a suggestion, but if it was more in-line with $17-$18 then it would be priced appropriately. Take care, and let me know if you change your situation to reflect the times. read more

My boyfriend and I just moved to town and were told this was THE place for great food. We decided to try it for lunch on a Sunday around 1:30 pm. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately that's where the fun stops. The food is not anything that we were expecting. I ordered the California Delight sandwich because of the promise of fresh turkey, avocado and bacon. My boyfriend got the honey balsamic tacos. Hmmmm. My sandwich had a pile of processed and very thin sliced Walmart turkey. I found one cheap and very thin piece of bacon and not avocado slices but a thin smear of smashed avo that was undetectable because they insist on slathering everything in their "magic sauce" which was not very magical. The tacos were bland except for the overload of feta cheese which overtook the entire flavor of the taco. Overall I didn't like it. The fries are awesome though. Super crispy with a fluffy moist potato center. But they definitely don't make those there. They are pre frozen ordered ones. I wouldn't recommend this place to people I care about. I wouldn't want them to pay the ridiculous prices for food that costs Red Bicycle mere cents to pick up from Walmart. read more

I loved this place. We stopped in really quick to grab coffee and brekkie. We both got Sweater Weather, to which we kept repeating I looooove Sweater Weather!! Until it annoyed neither of us! Because it was still hilarious! And we both got their Skyscraper breakfast sandwich which was insane. Two eggo waffles, two eggs, sausage, covered in powdered sugar. DELICIOUS. Seriously. So good.
