I used to like this place but ever since the owner changed, they are not as good anymore. I recently got a mani pedi. I liked the pedi but the massage part isn't great. I usually do my own manicure but I didn't have time for my event so I figured I'll get it done after my pedi. But I was so disappointed. The lady that did my manicure seems to not know what she's doing. I only asked for a simple gel manicure because I have nice long nails. The gel polish application is uneven and the edges are sloppy and not clean. I can't believe that this person has a license to do manicure. Will never go back to this place.

I asked for a cherry-themed nail design, and that's exactly what I got. I'm very pleased with the service! Daling is quiet, but she pays great attention to detail. I hope you find this review helpful and check out this hidden gem in Manteca.

We were welcomed and helped right away by Ha. It was our first visiting and all 3 of us got our manicure and pedicure done. Including tip we spend a little under $300 for the three of us, and felt the service was great. Everything was really clean and it was very relaxing environment. Definitely would recommend Ha, her work really stands out from the others.

The first time I went, I was disappointed as the tech could not do a simple French tip. The second time I went, I met Hannah and I immediately knew I found the one! She's thorough, efficient, and does exactly what you ask. I usually bring an inspo photo and she helps pick out the shade and hand draws any designs I had in mind. I was impressed when she hand drew my French tip without needing the alcohol and did a perfect job. This smile flower was done to perfection and didnt chip for 3 weeks! Will be back soon.

I am new to Manteca and needed to find my go to nail salon. I found Jo Nails 2 from Yelp and they had about 250+ reviews so I called and made an appointment for me and my daughter. Came in on the day of appointment, my daughter was so happy because they have Little Mermaid chair for kids. Little Princess manicure and pedicure costs $25 while I had Gel manicure and Deluxe Gel Pedicure for $80. I already made an appointment for my mom. I do recommend this place, the staff are friendly.

I called here to see if they had any available appointments for a gel mani. Luckily they had an opening and when I got there they took me right away. I did not get the name of the young man that did my nails but he did an amazing job! I'd come back here again! Took his time and I did not feel rushed at all.

Got a nail infection after the nail tech dug in too hard. I needed these toes ready for my bridal shower. I'm so sad.

I saw the 4 stars and thought I'd give this a try. I usually go to Alex at another location, but I was in the area. I'm so disappointed. I asked for the deluxe pedicure (I think it's called- $35). I asked for a nail trim and not to be gross but my nails weren't short. She cut my nails so short and uneven. She then proceeded to paint my nails. She cut my pinky nail so short, I don't think she could tell where the nail ended and the skin started. She painted over my skin... and wasn't going to fix it and when I pointed it out to her, she cleaned the wrong area. This was my nail after the removed the nail polish .... I had to point out w my finger "this isn't my nail... that's my skin" I'm worried she couldn't actually see it.. Anyways, not only are they short, they are uneven. I cannot fix my nail at home. The only thing I enjoyed was the massage... but I didn't come here for the massage. Luckily we are still in winter ... I'll keep my closed toed shoes on for now. I won't be coming here again. Fantastic pedicures!! I've been to a lot of nail salons in the bay area as I'm originally from there. Moved out here and was afraid to try new salons. (I'm afraid of getting cuts, I have very thin skin) but this place did not cut me and did a wonderful job for my gel mani and gel pedi, $70 total. The massage was the highlight for me as usually when I get pedicures the massages don't last very long or kinda half assed. The lady that did mine took her time and gave me a very long and relaxing massage, I literally fell asleep! Definitely will be coming back. read more

The worst place to get your nails done. Some Asian/Chinese bastard was trying to get loud with my woman because she wasn't happy with the results. I shut him up real quick. I don't understand how the worker can be so rude. They should be treating customers with respect because if it wasn't for us consumers, I'm sure these people wouldn't be eating everyday. So sad, just lost our business! The number 1 rule of owning a business is to be respectful and courteous. Especially if you did a SHIT job. Never spending a dime here!!! they use mma here. illegal for use on nails. it's a chemical monomer used in dental acrylic appliance making. your acrylic will come off gooey, and sticky. don't. go. here. read more

I've been here 4 times, all for pedicures. I purchase the Lavender pedicure ($35) - salt scrub, mask, hot stone massage and hot towel treatment. All together it takes about an hour. Pro: -Very friendly staff -Accommodating.. though they get busy very quickly. -Foot/leg massage is good. -Massage chairs are okay. Comfortable and can recline. -Variety of colors. -Reasonably priced. -Cleaned cuticles very well. Cons: -Colors unorganized. -Music was on repeat. Same two songs. -Front area could use some cleaning. I had to stare at a dead cricket for 10 min while my toes were drying. All in all a good spot for a pedicure. I will go back. read more

I can't believe I forgot to ask the name of the nail technician that did my pedicure today, but she was amazing! Clean environment, sterile tools (I noticed they were in a statim safe pouch), fresh polish, prefect paint job and to top it all off, the leg/foot massage was so relaxing! Will definitely be returning!!! read more

BEST NAIL SALON HANDS DOWN!! I'm very excited to have finally found a great nail salon in Manteca. Great friendly service, my full set is simple and cute just what I wanted. They actually took their time on the shape length and thickness of my acrylics which is what I appreciate and look for when I find a new nail lady. Switched my color option twice and they were actually very helpful instead of making faces, this place exceeded my expectations and I'm happy to say this is my official new nail spot. Oh, I also got a Lavender pedicure and my goodness the attention on the detailing was the best. I received like 3-4 massages in one pedicure talk about relaxation. TMI: I had trouble when walking with my heels for the past two weeks and they took their time literally 13 minutes to remove the little piece of nail stuck in my toe that a different nail salon didn't cut right. Very much appreciated. The salon itself is very clean and cute the baby blue vibes made me feel relaxed. Definitely going back for my next sets. Highly recommended read more

First time customer. New full set of nails with Lynn. She was 30 mins late for my appt with no explanation. I've had one nail break off in the first 6 days and since she did not cover my entire nail they already look due for a fill. I noticed when she was done that both the acrylic and gel color didnt even go all the way to the side edges of my nails nor all the way back to my cuticle. I asked about this and she said if was because my nails had grown into my skin and I needed a manicure.... and she wouldnt paint where there wasnt acrylic because it would come off. The nails didnt look natural at all since they did not fully follow the contour of my natural nail bed and one was set crookedly. The stars are for the ease of making a next day appointment appointment. She was friendly and they had alot of gel colors to choose from. I wont be going back. read more

I was looking for a new place to get my nails done and went to Yelp for help. I liked what I read about this place and decided to try them out. I went in and got helped right away. I got a pedi and gel manicure and the same lady did both (which I love) I felt like I was the only person to my manicurist and thats important to me and I feel like that doesn't happen too much anymore. This is my second time getting a fill on gel acrylic nails here. And both times they've fixed my nails from a previous full set that I wasn't really satisfied with from another nail salon. The manicurist did a good job reshaping and filing my coffin shaped nails. They have a great selection of gel nail polish. This time I called an hour before and they were able to schedule me right away. Place seemed pretty nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Cash tip preferred. Will be coming back in a couple weeks for a fill. read more

Very thorough in cleaning and he made sure when he applied the polish, the sides of my nails are well coated and even. I don't think Jo nails is worth the hype! People be giving 5 starts all way!! There is this lady there she does a horrible job at doing nails!! The French were too big... the nails were uneven, they were also thick!! But the good thing is that my friend got her nails done again for free by this girl named Ha! She is the best she does a really good job! So if your planning on going to Jo nails make an appointment with Ha! My nails were good from the begging because I got from Ha but my friends didn't so when we went back we got it done from her customer service was alright as well! Another thing I don't recommend going here because these nails were $65 there outrageous, i could have went to The Nail and Spa (they are so good I recommend) and she they would have charged me $45 dollars for these nails! Another thing while my friend was getting her nails done the girl kept on coughing on her nails even though she had a mask on it still isn't safe in my opinion. The nail polish was all over the place and didn't have much coverage on the edges! The girl probably looked at the picture 20 times and the nails still front my satisfaction after going back and getting my nails done for free!!! read more

I booked an appointment with Ha. She did an excellent job, very attentive to small details. Everyone is wearing masks and there is plexi glass separating the nail artist from yourself. There was a total of 3 customers and we were spaced out. Overall, really great service!!! read more

Before Covid, this has been my go-to place for *years* but today is probably the last day I'll go. I haven't been in to get a pedicure for a while (thanks, Covid) but California finally gave them the green light so I went in and got one today. First off, their prices jumped... majorly jumped. I was willing to overlook that because I know they need to cover the expenses of being closed for months, and I don't mind paying more for a good service, if I got a good service. I sat down and had a TV right across from me. In previous visits, it was game shows, sometimes the news... today it was almost-naked trashy music videos of girls rubbing themselves, rolling around in bed etc. And it's not like you can look away, it's *right in front of you.* On top of that, it's difficult because some of the ladies don't speak *any* English. It's hard to communicate exactly what you want when they don't understand you. I don't need loud and clear English, but if I ask for them to do something specific (or stay clear of a specific part of my foot) and they nod their heads and do it anyway, it's very frustrating. With the prices substantially higher, I was hoping for at least the same service I got before. Coming home today, my heels and my callouses are terrible. I paid for the treatment and barely anything was removed. So, to wrap it up in a nutshell: Higher prices (understandable) Disgustingly inappropriate music videos on loop Unable to listen to what you want and execute it Poor quality pedicure. I'm so bummed because I loved this place for years and I hate trying new pedi places. But I'm not going to pay high prices for bad work and being subjected to sexual videos. read more

This place is amazing! i've tried all of the places in Ripon and this place is by far my favorite. Worth the drive. 30$ for a fill and i got my cuticles cleaned up for an extra 5$. Highly recommend. Very sterile, clean, and the lady paid a lot of attention to detail. read more

Just left like 15 minutes ago! I always come here to see Ha for my pedicures (shes the best at ever!!), and came in today for just a basic manicure with no color or anything. There was what seemed to be a new young man who i've never seen before he was wearing a yellow shirt i didn't get his name though, but he did such an awesome job on my manicure! my cuticles have never looked this good. jo nails is always my go to spot :-) read more

I used to love coming here until their employees became rude and ruthless. I don't know why they suck now, I guess it's because they are gaining customers? Tony the owner is nice but everyone else their SUCKS! One of their employees literally was talking back to my mom and went on full sass mode. Not worth your time or money. read more

I arrived about 25mins early and since it wasn't crowded at the time, they were able to get me right in. Hana (I believe that's how she spelled her name!) made sure to check in with me a number of times to ensure color, design, general nail were good to go, which I appreciate. Sometimes at nail salons it gets past the point of being able to fix without starting over so it's helpful to have someone that's actually checking in. When I go back in for my pre-vacation set, I'll be booking with her. I was a bit surprised at the $77 price tag for a fill, but in fairness, I did not look at a price in advance nor did I bother to ask, so I'm not sure how much of it came from the fill itself and how much of it was, the rhinestones added to the nails. Next set won't have the rhinestones by default so we shall see! I'm happy with her final product. :-)

When I walked in, she looked to have just taken someone else and so I sat and waited about 15 minutes before her colleague Rosie welcomed me to her seat To begin removing my old color. Rosie noticed how old my nails looked and offered to provide me with a full set of fresh nails at a very reasonable cost So I agreed, and she prepared my nails while Tina finished with her client. Once her client left, I was welcome to transition to tina's seat, which began my new relationship with my new nail artist. Tina's shop is very well stocked with anything you could think of from color to acrylic powder to accessories you'd like to add into your nail design. I showed her the inspo pick I was hoping to get and she absolutely nailed it- every pun intended. At 25 years old and owning her own nail Salon I couldn't be more proud of her And I will definitely be supporting her business as an ongoing customer. Thank you, Tina and Rosie. My mom worked with Hannah, who remembered us even after not coming here for a couple years, and I worked with (I think her name is) Tammy, who was equally as warm to us! I know my nails were definitely in bad shape and Tammy was wonderful! My pedicure still looks new and I love my set; I think I'll be calling soon for a fill.
