I went to Martha to color my roots. She styled it and it looked fine..... until I got home and pulled it back into a ponytail. The roots were not blended, but had harsh chunky lines and very brassy! I took a picture of it and texted her and asked if she could please fix the front of it for me. She read my text but ignored me. I have sent several texts to her, all of which she has ignored. I had to make another appointment next week for someone else to fix it and I asked her to give me back my money so I can pay someone else to fix it, but of course she ignored me. That is so incredibly unprofessional! Please be careful! read more

Today, I went in for a haircut. I'm a first time client with Phuong. She listened to my request, was very kind. And she cuts hair perfectly. I highly recommend her. The salon itself brought me back to my beauty school days. But each hairdresser that works there rents their own station. I will be going back to Phuong, she told me she's been cutting hair for twenty years- and I can tell. Give her a try you won't be disappointed. read more

I had the blessing of having Tina cut my hair short and I love it! she is very warm, friendly and has the sweetest spirit. I highly recommend Tina. The vibe there is very relaxing with friendly people. read more

Excellent stylist and Nail Techs. I'm go to Jay for my nails. He does excellent work. I am also a stylist at this salon. I have been in the business for 30+years. If you ask me for something that I'm not comfortable with or don't feel it's my specialty I can refer you to a stylist that would be more suited for you. You can call 209-777-2388 to schedule an appointment with me, or I could direct you to other stylist and nail tech. read more

Phoung took me as a walk in this morning. She did a great job giving me an a-line! I'm very pleased with the outcome. She even took the time to blow dry and straighten it (which I wasn't expecting since this salon doesn't charge you a car payment for a cut). I brought my oldest daughter in to her also a few weeks back and she did a great job on her medium length cut. Amber also did an awesome job on my 10 year old's hair. All the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. I'm glad I took a chance and dropped in to this place! Thank you ladies! read more

Angles Beauty Care - Thank you Phoung! - Nail Salons Near Me - Manteca, California

I haven't had my hair cut professionally in 8 months, therefore I was desperate to find something in Manteca. I am ALWAYS hesitant going into hair salons simply because I don't trust anyone with my hair, and I was continued to have apprehensions entering the salon. I got my hair by a Vietnamese woman named Phoung. She was absolutely fantastic, not only doing a great job in my hair, but giving me exactly what I asked for and not chopping off the length of my long hair. I came with a picture and a request not to shorten my hair and she definitely executed. The job was already 5 stars worth, but she deserves 6 stars for being so enthusiastic and giving me positive energy through conversation. Simply put: she also put me in a good mood. $18 for wash & cut. Definitely recommend Phoung as a hair stylist. Mind you, she takes cash & not card. read more

This review is for AMBER - my regular stylist who stations here. Upon our first appointment Amber took the time to fix mistakes made on my hair by myself and my previous stylist. She also cut and colored for a great price. Two years later I am still in love! Amber always does exactly what I want, while doing her own thing. She takes the time to do my hair right, and is a great conversationalist. I will never let anyone else touch my hair! read more

*^* Absolutely Fabulous!*^* I'm a frequent "Yelper" so I was surprised not to find a review when I looked up this place. SUE {or SUZETTE} is absolutely ah-mazing when it comes to getting my hair done. It's best to make an appointment, as she books quickly, but she is fantastic with scheduling, especially last minute. I finally found Angle's salon after living in Manteca for about four months. Then it was about trusting someone with my hair, to cut it how I wanted it, not how THEY thought it would look better. Suzette is great. It's always good to bring in a photo, one from a magazine or even on your phone. I do, then I ask her to tweak the hairstyle by adding a bit more length or I ask her to "keep the bangs". She listens to every thug I ask, will add her opinion on what might also look good in addition to my suggestions. They are always great ideas and I walk away happy. Never disappointed. read more

This review is for Jody We came in without an appt. and were seen right away no wait time. Jody was amazing she did such an excellent job and was such a great person to talk to. My daughter was so excited by her new cut and style and just loved it. I wasn't sure about this salon as we have never been here before and so we decided to give it a try I am so glad we did. The prices are extremely reasonable it cost more to cut(shave) my husbands hair. Will definitely be going back for the whole family and highly recommend Jody. Been to other places that just did what they wanted even when we told them and showed them pics. read more

Don't go for your nails. My nails starting flaking off the same night I had them done. They were chiping and coming off in flakey chunks.....some in the (almost) entire shape of my nail. The person who did my nails would ask me personal questions, pause for a moment and then look away to see what the other women / customers were saying. Very nosey.......in other peoples conversations. It was an uncomfortable experience and I will not recommend this place to others. read more

This review is for Phuong Nguyen. I did a walk in for a highlight and luckily I met her. She stayed after hour to help me without rushing. I could see that she was very warm, friendly, and professional. I came in for a highlight and she did exactly what I asked for, a very natural look. I am very happy with my hair and her professional service. I have found my hairstylist in Manteca read more

I had made an appointment with Jenny. She had a friendly and helpful demeanor. I was truly happy with the haircut and color services done by her. She is awesome and I will definitely be back! read more

I love this place, my hair stylist, SUE is fun and knows what you want!. I get my hair color done with her since I moved to Merced, I know it is far from Manteca. The drive worth it when I get my highlights she takes her time getting it right for me. I had several different colors like magenta, blue, and red at once. Absolutely, I received so much compliments from school, friends, and colleagues. For haircut, I do not think it really work out for me, it did not fit my face, but go for her if you want to dye your hair or highlights. She is extremely sweet person. The price is reasonable for highlight, always a lot cheaper then the bay area and some places in central valley. read more

Always a pleasure when Tyna does my nails. She is always on time and my nails last over 3weeks.

I had an appointment with Jenny to color and highlight my hair. Unfortunately it's my worst experience ever I wanted to cry. My highlights looked horrible and brassy not what I wanted at all. I showed her several pictures of what I wanted. To top it off she charges me $200 for above shoulder length hair. I usually pay between $90-$120 and my hair length is pretty short. I've had my hair done multiple times and never looked so orange and brassy. Also didn't like her technique of doing highlights and color at the same time. I will never go to her again. I did go back and Jenny recolored my roots to a darker more natural color to remove the red tone and only reapplied toner, she refused to bleach and fix my brassy orange highlights. I did not get a single compliment for my hair like I usually do, just an "Oh you colored your hair." If you're willing to risk not possibly getting what you want and paying way too much then schedule an appointment with Jenny. read more

I am giving a rave review for Suzette. I was a walk in and she stayed late to cut my hair. She took extra time to give the best cut I've ever had. My hair looks beautiful and it is so easy to style. My hunt for a stylist is over, no one else is getting near my hair. She explained how she was cutting my hair and gave great advice. The price was very reasonable. She has a great personality, and a great sense of humor, she put me right at ease. My hair was a mess when I walked in I'd had a bad cut months before and had done a little trimming on my own. She did a wonderful job and she deserves every one of the 5 stars. read more

Judy regularly does my mani/pedi. She's seriously the best nail person ever! Her work is excellent (she's a real artist) and she's the friendliest person you'll meet. She doesn't rush you, which really makes the experience like a spa visit. Judy is extremely professional, and as the shop general manager, handles all her duties elegantly. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my brother who had a less than desirable experience at this salon. I purchased a Groupon voucher for a massage with Marissa Groves. I am using her name, because the Groupon was specifically for her services. My brother made an apt. and went in for his massage, only to be left on the massage table waiting for the massage therapist, who kept leaving the room. After 15-20 miniutes, Marissa came back and told him she was sick and needed to "throw-up" and that she needed to reschedule. She then told him if he came back, she would give him a "30 minute" massage. The voucher was for 60 minutes and he should be entitled to the entire 60 minutes. I have since been in contact with Groupon to resolve the issue, but Marissa has never called me or my brother back. What kind of customer service is that? So, anyone purchasing the same massage voucher, be aware of what my brother experienced and maybe choose a different massage therapist elsewhere. read more
