I always tend to cut my own hair, well trim and give it some layers. But if I really wanted to get it cut shorter I would always look for a hair salon that would listen to my idea and the vision I wanted for this new hair cut. I came here not knowing if they specializes with Asian hair (which I have). The place wasn't busy and waited not too long to be seen. Chn (I hope i got her name right) was the one who took care of me. She asked how I wanted my hair cut and how much to take off. I wanted to have it chopped to chin length, but she was against it. She told me she'll give me layers and the length would be just below my shoulders. I was a bit resistant since that was still too long for my liking, but she assured me that once the shortest layers were done it would look like the short cut I wanted. She went on and do her thing, we chatted and she made me feel comfortable. Once the hair cut was done and styled, I totally got what she meant. Was fairly empty when I came in. With 1 lady cutting and another cleaning up. I was greeted right away and asked what service I was looking for. The lady that was cleaning (im sad i didnt catch her name) asked me to take a seat in the waiting area while she finished sweeping and I waited no more than 5 minutes before she asked me to sit in the salon chair. I showed her some inspiration pictures and she let me know she would start slow and make sure the length was right before we continued. I appreciate that type of approach. Overall im very happy with the cut and the price. Everyone there seemed friendly and by the time I left there were at least 4 people waiting for their turn. I've read a very good review about this place, so I decided to go try to get my haircut. Originally my plan was to get a haircut. Chnn recommended to have a highlight and get a lighter color because my hair very dark. I love the highlights and haircut. The place is a very friendly environment. I've been taking my 2 boys for haircut recently. I like the comfort they give to their clients, couch with free use of chargers.. stationary bike and a table with activities for kids. Sonny's so good and kind with my boys. He does their hair really neatly and nicely. Last Friday, I did my Balayage with Lina and I couldn't be any happier with the results. It was exactly how I wanted. I like how she educated me about how hair color and effects work in each individual. Went in on Monday early for a hair cut. Asked stylist if she knew how to cut "feathers" not just layers. She said she knew. Lina proceeded to cut my hair and style with what appears to be long layers. I did not want to make a scene but I Am not happy with my hair. This is not feathered. My daughter needed a haircut and thought we'd give this place a try since it got good reviews and was pretty close to our house. I like that they offer walk ins and you don't need an appointment. We only had to wait for maybe 10 minutes before getting called for our turn. Unfortunately I did not get the name of the woman who cut my daughters hair but she was lovely and very nice. She didn't take long at all and my daughter absolutely LOVES how her hair turned out. She had the biggest smile on her face! I was looking for a place that can do my hair last minute. My hair was orangy brown because I messed my hair up, yea I was one of those clients. I hope I never do that to myself again. Im going out of town in 2 days and I wanted my hair done before then. Mind you, i had been calling and texting places 10 days prior and nobody was available or was closed on the days i was off..so I took my chance with this place. I called them. I don't usually leave reviews on Yelp, but this is the second time I'll leave one in a long time, and this time it's about what they did to my daughter's hair. So I contacted the salon Monday about 3:19 p.m. to see if I could make a haircut appointment, and it just so happened that KIM answered the phone. She suggested we could just show up at the salon, so I told her we'd be there by 4 p.m. We arrived at the salon at 3:48 p.m. We barely waited a few minutes before my daughter sat in the chair. KIM asked as to her desired style, and my daughter replied that she simply wishes to get her split ends clipped. KIM showed my daughter how far she could cut her hair, and she given permission. KIM then asked again if she wanted layered hair, and she answered, "sure, why not?" I was watching her the entire time she was cutting my daughter's hair till I noticed how she was layering my daughter's hair. I thought it was strange how she was doing it, but I didn't say anything because she's a hairdresser, of course she knows what she's doing. Until I saw my daughter's reaction; she no longer appears to be happy. At first, she appears to be fine until she notices her hair decreasing out. When she was finished with my daughter's hair, I asked her if she liked her haircut, and she looked uneasy and about to cry at the outcome of her hair. I knew she didn't like it right away. KIM asked $35 and left a $5 tip. My daughter began sobbing as soon as we left, and I felt terrible. I wanted to make her feel better, so when we arrived home, I tried to flat iron her hair to make it appear better until we discovered the worst. KIM trimmed her hair unevenly, and it was so horrible that my daughter began to cry again. I contacted the salon today and explained what occurred to the manager, LYN. She asked if I may bring my daughter there to look at it. I brought my daughter today, and she requested if she could sit down to fix her hair, but my daughter refused to touch her hair again. She was horrified and afraid that they would mess up her hair again, so I told LYN that I respected my daughter's decision and would ask her as a manager if she could do anything about it. She informed me that they are in commission and that all she can do is correct the mistakes made by KIM!! Lyn asked KIM if she could refund the money or do something else in exchange for what she done, but she refused. I'm trying to keep my emotions in control, but she frustrates me, so I speak up and ask KIM, "So it's okay for you to mess up someone's hair and do nothing?" They simply continued telling me all things, but I told them we weren't going to show there or spend our time. We had a reason to go there! All I want is to compensate my child for the services provided by the hairdresser. Until LYN spoke up and told KIM to give us half of what we paid, despite the fact that it was KIM's fault. LYN even apologized and informed us that my daughter's hair had been cut unevenly! The lesson here is that we shouldn't just go to a hair salon because we don't know what they are capable of just because we want a haircut. They can't just blame us and say it happens at every salon. This is your salon, and you must provide satisfaction to your customers; it is not our responsibility that we showed up one day and messed up someone else's hair. If you want your customers to return, ensure that they receive what they desire! read more

Absolutely phenomenal work! I had the pleasure of working with Sonny one of the owners of the salon/barber shop this past week. I needed a hair cut for a last minute engagement. Initially driving into the shopping center I was pleased to know it was well kept. Once I enter the salon I was pleasantly surprised by the decor. It was a sassy but industrial at the same time. If that makes any sense. Sonny talked as if we had known each other before. He asked how I was what did I want gave his honest opinion with his 30 years of experience I was definitely in the right hands. $20 for a hair cut, beard & wash prior to getting up he made sure I was pleased and offered to fix anything I wasn't satisfied with. I came in to get a couple inches trimmed off. I have short hair and wanted to maintain it. My hair came out uneven and it just looks bad. It looks as if I had cut it myself. If you look a couple reviews below mine (Nathalie Y's photo), imagine my hair like that, but short (above the shoulder length). I'm trying really hard to like it since I paid $15 for it...but I think I'll be going back to Great Clips. They only charge $5 for a trim. The only reason why I didn't go to Great Clips is because they are on the other side of town whereas CT is just down the street. The workers at CT are nice and all, but their skills are just not there. Their abilities are out of date and they can't do modern or youthful haircuts. read more
