JLS was very professional and built an amazing fence in the really difficult terrain of our backyard. We are so pleased with the results!

Silo Modern Farmhouse - Caesar Salad

But when I pay the kind of prices they charge at Silo, I need to be wowed and I just haven't been the two times we've dined here--hence, only 4 stars. We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

People are so kind and courteous. They took care of our needs and let's talk about food. Can you believe they have amazing food literally so many options we had different type of nachos wings chicken roll burgers plenty of options and everything is great. The beers were outstanding and we would always go back with a bigger group of friends. Don't forget to try this place if you're close by there's plenty of parking.

Our server was just the cutest, nicest girl! She let us know about other events they have like trivia and even a spelling bee! There's prizes! How fun and exciting. I saw board games available for you to play at your table so having a group of friends or coworkers out could be so much fun. They have quite a few of their beers on tap. I'm not a big fan of beer so I passed on all of those and wound up getting a flight of their seltzers. They were delicious! I think the blueberry was my favorite. I really wish they sold these to go because I would've grabbed some on the way out. They sell some of their beers to go Now let's get to the grilled cheese unfortunately they don't always offer the flight and this was a special but they do offer the sandwiches for you to purchase individually with fries. My favorite was a berry and cream cheese one that also had bacon. it was scrumptious. All of them were good but it was my favorite. You got 4 halves, but the halves were huge. we shared one platter and it was enough for two people. It also came with a dessert grilled cheese. That was a s'more. yummy! Just in case anyone from Red Crow Brewing happens to read this review, I'd really like to recommend having the grilled cheese flight on the menu! Lol And please sell some growlers of your seltzer! The blueberry and POG were amazing! I loved them all! I really wish I could remember the name of our server because she was just the best! If I go back, I hope I see her so I can get her name and I promise I will come back here and add it to my review. Looking forward to returning soon especially if I can get there for a trivia or spelling bee night!

Located in the old MCM building that formerly was the home of the old Tastee Freeze, it already started out with a fun atmosphere. And the owners did a nice job of making it even more welcoming. I even enjoyed the barstool, which looked to be about 75 lbs but actually was more like 10. As my Corgi body got up, that thing shot out from underneath me like a butt mounted, spring loaded rocket and took off across the dining room. Many nice people asked if I was OK, and I assured them that I was only dealing with the pain of embarrassment. I like to think that my exploits entertain the masses :) As for the coffee, it was excellent. Much better than the overheated fare at Charbux. The pastries were fresh, tasty, and some of the best I've ever had at a coffeehouse. The young baristas that work there are very nice, which is refreshing. The owner popped in while we were there and it's obvious he's detail oriented. Expect a line, but know that it's worth it.

The caramel flavor was definitely there but I couldn't pick up the coffee flavor if that makes sense. I ordered a scone and it was super dry. Wouldn't recommend it.

It's got that great open seating, it's clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Speaking of the staff, I have to give a massive shoutout to the girl at the counter for her "Public Service Announcement." When I went to order, she gave me the lowdown: do not order anything from the tap. I appreciate that kind of radical honesty In this world of corporate greed. The menu claims they have bottled beer, but in reality, if it isn't on tap, it's in a can. I ended up with a Blue Moon in a can--a first for me--but hey, it did the job. As for the main event: I went for a 5-topping customized slice. I won't bore you with my specific architecture, but let's talk logistics. These slices are massive and have that classic New York-style "flop," which I usually love. Unfortunately, the execution was a bit of a letdown. The crust was on the dry side and the overall flavor was just... missing. It felt like a giant canvas with a splotch of paint. At the end of the day, I dropped $20 for a single slice and a can of beer. I can go to Sam's Club and get two slices and a drink for less than the tax on this meal--and actually taste the sauce--it's hard to justify the return trip. Cool vibe, great service, but the pizza needs a little more soul (and maybe a working tap).

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!
