JLS was very professional and built an amazing fence in the really difficult terrain of our backyard. We are so pleased with the results!

I can get 2 meals out of it. It's stuffed with steak, shrimp, and other veggies and such. I try to get something else but then I always can't resist getting it! I am going to have to force myself to explore the menu more. I have done Taco Tuesday and gotten several tacos. There's many options. I'm usually attracted to the street taco style but I have also gotten the gringo style and it is very good too! I love the birria and pastor. I got chicken and added black beans, yummy! You can't go wrong and they are $1 off each on Tuesday. I need to do Burrito Monday!! Everyone is always very nice when I pick up my order. I use the app and it's so easy! The restaurant is always clean either plenty of seats. They have some cool merch too! I need a tshirt and cap! I'm a big fan of Tiki Taco which o discovered thanks to Yelp!

One of the best Quesadilla's we have had. Also, they have 4 different sauces to pick from. I got the medium. It was good Not sure what took us so long to try this place, however glad we finally have. We will be back.

There was a 'Happy Anniversary' card on our table signed by the staff, such a nice touch! Our waitress greeted us warmly and wished us happy anniversary and told us that for celebrating with them we'd receive a special dessert or a champagne toast. Another lovely surprise. We ordered cocktails and enjoyed their delicious bread service of freshly baked popovers. For dinner I had their Catch of the Day, Black Cod, wrapped in speck, served with saffron couscous. It could not have been more delicious. My husband enjoyed their Three Way Chicken, a dish so plentiful he took one piece home with him. We were both so pleased with our meals we didn't want to eat to excess, so our server offered to send our dessert home with us. The service, ambience and food were all wonderful. So glad we selected Silo as our place to celebrate!

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

Parking was ample outside and we came in right about dinner time. We were sat immediately and I soon had a nice red beer. The cheese burgers were the special, so I opted for one of those with fries + the "my girlfriend isn't hungry" add of a couple chicken strips and some extra fries. The burger was perfect, but I've gotta say...for being a place called *Burg* and Barrel, their chicken strips are the best. They're juicy, the breading is fantastic, and they're always just really high quality. We came in while they were starting the trivia night deal, which I couldn't care less about, but if that's something you're a fan of...it's a thing here. Overall it was just another fantastic meal at the best burger/brew chain in the KC area.

LOWS: - I asked an employee for some water and I got "I'm not your server," and walked away in response, didn't love that - I obviously don't know the full story behind it but writing on your menu that you are incapable of cutting a burger or sandwich in half is pretty absurd. Along with not even having knives for us to do it ourselves - Could probably invest in some blinds, the glare inside was crazy Overall a fine meal, obviously a lot going on but mostly not on the good side. The actual meal saved the day because if it weren't for that I probably would've been more critical.

Located in the old MCM building that formerly was the home of the old Tastee Freeze, it already started out with a fun atmosphere. And the owners did a nice job of making it even more welcoming. I even enjoyed the barstool, which looked to be about 75 lbs but actually was more like 10. As my Corgi body got up, that thing shot out from underneath me like a butt mounted, spring loaded rocket and took off across the dining room. Many nice people asked if I was OK, and I assured them that I was only dealing with the pain of embarrassment. I like to think that my exploits entertain the masses :) As for the coffee, it was excellent. Much better than the overheated fare at Charbux. The pastries were fresh, tasty, and some of the best I've ever had at a coffeehouse. The young baristas that work there are very nice, which is refreshing. The owner popped in while we were there and it's obvious he's detail oriented. Expect a line, but know that it's worth it.

They were great! Unique, fluffy, flavorful, and definitely worth a side order. I ordered the chicken and waffles with the peach. It was a good dish. The chicken tenders had a little bit of a spice that I didn't totally love, but they were still good. I also tried my friend's shrimp and grits, and they were delicious. Sweet and savory done right, though heads up if you're dairy-sensitive -- that slaw is loaded. Unfortunately, the service side fell flat. We arrived mid-afternoon around 1:30-2:00, and the restaurant wasn't busy. We asked if we could sit upstairs, and the host seemed confused before telling us it was closed, then seated us directly next to a loud group despite plenty of quieter open tables nearby. A few minutes later, we looked upstairs ourselves and saw multiple occupied tables being actively served...what the heck? The most frustrating part of this experience wasn't the seating, it was the complete indifference from the staff. Drinks didn't arrive until after we had already finished eating, and despite the restaurant being relatively slow, nobody seemed remotely concerned. No urgency or communication. Just a normal day for them, I guess. A kitchen can only carry a restaurant so far when the front-of-house operates with this little care for hospitality. The atmosphere gives the impression of a place that wants to feel polished and upscale, but the service felt lazy and disconnected from the guest experience. Mistakes happen in restaurants. What matters is whether the staff notices and cares enough to fix them. We left wondering how a restaurant with food this solid has become comfortable delivering service this poor.
