After referencing 'Yelp' for wood rot repair, contacted Harry due to the high recommended reviews. Harry returned my call within hours of which we agreed upon a date/time to meet. He was on time and after a thorough going-over the entire outside of the house, i felt very confident Harry knew what he was talking about which led us to an agreement for him to perform the repairs as well as install all new guttering which was the main reason i had quite a bit of wood rot. I was out-of-town when Harry made the repairs, so he took many pictures of the 'before' and during progression as well as 'after' all repairs were completed. Handyman Harry rebuilt two framed basement "finished" walls where I had to tear them out in order to have the concrete wall braced with I-beams. He did a great job rebuilding the framed walls. It looks really good. He and his helper are excellent at drywall. You can't even see the repair on the the place where he had to patch in big sections of drywall on the popcorn ceiling. He is also quick and he cleans up the area after each day, which I appreciate. He is easy to work with and gets the job done. I will call him again if I need something else done that's too much of a project for me to handle, and I recommended him to my sister for her drywall and basement repairs. Thanks! read more

Had to install a door for the bathroom and get a complicated cat wall up. The doorframe was a little wobbly, and Harry and his coworker spent the extra time bringing the door down and sanding it little by little to make sure it fit! It obviously was a lot more hassle than anyone thought, but they really spent the time to make sure everything was done right. Harry Comes Through Handyman Harry is a results kind of guy. His ad said that he responds within an hour and 20 minutes sure checked that box! While I had a pretty long list of minor things I needed done, I realized that I had leaking toilet on the second floor so that rightfully became the priority! Harry was finishing up a job nearby and after providing a reasonable estimate and his rates he was at my front door in less than 20 minutes! He was wearing a mask, his shoes were clean, and he had all his tools in hand. The toilet was fixed in a few minutes, so he next tackled our kitchen light fixture. Initially I thought it need an internal part but for about the same cost he suggested (and installed) an upgraded, LED fixture. Win, win! Very respectful, friendly, and honest. What more can you ask for. Recommendation: He's coming back to do a bit of trim work, and providing bids on both staining our privacy fence and repairing our garage floor. I highly recommend Handyman Harry for any work you may need. He is knowledgeable and experienced and knew exactly what we needed to preserve our deck and siding (two separate jobs). He also listens very well and did his best to make everything the way we wanted it. The deck was in rough shape and now it looks great and will probably last much longer. He also installed some vertical posts on the deck stairs to make it safer for our kids so they don't fall off. The original shingle siding on our house had lots of shingles that were in terrible shape. He replaced some shingles that were rotting away but was able to save most of the siding with a good paint job. He also covered up an old damaged doggie door that went into our garage (from a previous owner, we don't need the doggie door). We are really happy with the results and the price was fair. I think he goes above and beyond and I will definitely hire him for any other work we need in the future. read more
