Let me save you time, money and headaches... The absolute worst thieves and dishonest people I have…read moreever dealt with. it starts great because they're so fantastic and trained in lying... purchased my vehicle out of province at the end of august and was supposed to be delivered September long weekend. it never showed up. they told me that the delivery driver got busted with no license and the vehicle was impounded For a week. We'll get back to that because that clearly wasn't the case... once it was 'out of the impound' a week later they said they forgot to book a new delivery driver for me. Yes in the meantime I got a loaner vehicle from another location that was a piece of garbage and was sure it was going to break down on me. I informed them of the issues but they didn't care and said keep driving it. The next week (going into the 3rd week now) they said they noticed something wrong with the front bumper and were replacing it... another week goes by and more excuses. I had to threaten to call the RCMP and report the vehicle stolen seeing as I had signed the paperwork and it was insured in my name and they were refusing to deliver it. It ended up on the road immediately But delivered with scratches all over it. I sent pictures to the dealership and that went ignore. Got my OPI done and within seconds of my mechanic starting the inspection, he saw it had severe damage behind the new front bumper... clearly this is why it was taking so long to deliver and all the hoses and shutters behind the bumper were just zip tied and so I sent more pictures to them and they responded by saying to send them the quote to fix it. I sent them the quote and again that went ignored. I called my lawyer and he said non disclosure of damage or accidents is illegal so I passed that on to the dealership. He then tried to blame the body shop saying that the shop didn't tell them there was damage. Clearly the accident wasn't on CarFax because they didn't go through insurance so don't believe the CarFax report. I asked for a invoice for the new bumper and any 6 year old could've made that up on the computer. I googled the 'body shop' it doesn't exist.. I've barely had the vehicle 2 months and just found out after our dump of snow that my AWD is f***cked up. Yes I got the extended warranty.... DO NOT BUY THAT WARRANTY FROM THEM! Get your own somewhere else. As much as my mechanic would love to help me, he won't deal with that company. Good luck trying to get in touch with the actual owner of Mainland Motors. You can only find his name (Manny Jawanda) but no way to contact. He's probably just sitting back laughing at every fool that buys off of them. What a disgrace of a business, I'd be ashamed and embarrassed if my name was on it.

WARNING - DEALERSHIP DOES NOT OPERATE WITH INTEGRITY Over…read morethe last several days, I have been in contact via phone, email, and text with two sales representatives at Kabani Motors in Vancouver. They have a 2015 Honda Pilot with 9,825KMS and an asking price of $39,995. In my initial conversation with Eduardo Guillo where I made an offer that was not accepted; however, Eduardo informed me via email that the lowest price that the owners of Kabani would accept is $39,470. Over the last four days, we continued to discuss the Pilot and decided yesterday, Sunday, April 10th, 2022, that would engage with the dealership again to make an offer. This time around we dealt with Summit K. Biswas. Over a period of 3 hours, we communicated via text and phone. During this period, we discussed the value of their $299 administration fee and further negotiated on price. With each offer, Summit returned to the owners of the dealership to present my offer and continuously kept coming back in writing that they would not accept anything less than $39,000. We came to the decision that we would pay the price and provided Summit with my credit card over the phone, and it was charged with a $1000 non-refundable deposit I planned to fly to Vancouver to pick up the SUV. Approximately, a half-hour later I received a text message from Summit, stating that the boss there is no discount on that vehicle, yet last week they were prepared to take $500 off. Over the course of the negotiation process, Summit contacted the owners of the dealership more than three (3) times to discuss the price and then revoked our agreement and wanted me to pay full price. The reason given, is the owners didn't have good cell service and didn't hear the offer correctly, yet they were very familiar with the conversation I had the previous week with Eduardo and the offer. Whatever you decide to do with this dealership and its owners be VERY CAREFUL. They are not ethical and do NOT operate with integrity. I had to request multiple times to have them credit my VISA and ended up calling the bank to report it as fraud. Below are the screenshots of our text message conversation. They even offer coffee and water while waiting and have a very nice waiting area. For fairness, I want to clarify that the lien issue on the trade-in vehicle was not caused by the dealership, and I was personally unaware of the remaining lien balance until it was discovered during the transaction process. My concerns are primarily related to how the situation was handled afterward, including communication, transparency, refusal to provide written explanations, and conflicting verbal mechanical claims. During the recent transaction, financing and insurance paperwork had already been completed on a 2020 Ford F-150 XLT before the dealership later discovered a lien on the trade-in vehicle. The vehicle delivery was then withheld while the situation was being addressed. The interaction became extremely heated and stressful, and I was verbally told my current Ram required both a new engine and transmission, despite no written diagnostic report being provided when requested. After the transaction was unwound and the F-150 never left the lot, we were also required to cancel insurance immediately and pay approximately $168, but no written itemized explanation for the charge was provided despite being requested. I also want to mention my previous experience with a Ram 1500 purchased from this dealership. The truck was purchased at approximately 146,000 km and by around 200,500 km -- roughly 54,500 km later over about 2.5 years -- it developed major engine-related problems including symptoms commonly associated with Hemi lifter/camshaft failure ("Hemi tick"). While I understand used vehicles can develop issues over time, this experience significantly reduced my confidence overall. My family and people close to us have been dealing with this dealership for over 10 years and between family members and friends, more than 7 vehicles have been purchased over time. In my personal experience, many of those vehicles eventually developed significant issues, yet people continued returning because they trusted the dealership and were repeatedly encouraged into new financing arrangements and replacement vehicles. Looking back now, I personally feel like I finally recognized a repeating cycle that I no longer wanted to continue participating in. Additionally, sometime around mid last year, I felt pressured by dealership staff to refer friends and acquaintances to purchase vehicles through them with promises of referral bonuses or compensation. In my experience, the dealership repeatedly delayed or failed to follow through clearly regarding those referral incentives, which added further frustration and distrust. In my opinion, some of the sales tactics used felt extremely aggressive and predatory. Buyers should be prepared for pressure tactics and should carefully verify all financing information independently. I would also advise people to be cautious if they are suddenly encouraged to switch vehicles or are told "the bank won't approve" or "the bank won't accept" certain terms after significant paperwork has already been completed. I also have concerns regarding financing advertisements displayed on the dealership's website, including advertised low interest rates such as 2.99% financing. In my experience, when those rates were discussed in person, explanations were given that the difference would instead somehow be deducted from the vehicle price, however the actual financing paperwork and final numbers did not appear to reflect what was initially represented. I strongly encourage buyers to carefully read all financing documents and independently calculate the real total cost of borrowing before signing anything. I strongly encourage anyone purchasing a used vehicle to: obtain an independent pre-purchase inspection, verify financing and lien details independently, request written diagnostics/documentation, independently review all financing terms, and avoid rushing into long-term financing agreements under pressure. Based on my experience, I personally would not return.
