Let me save you time, money and headaches... The absolute worst thieves and dishonest people I have…read moreever dealt with. it starts great because they're so fantastic and trained in lying... purchased my vehicle out of province at the end of august and was supposed to be delivered September long weekend. it never showed up. they told me that the delivery driver got busted with no license and the vehicle was impounded For a week. We'll get back to that because that clearly wasn't the case... once it was 'out of the impound' a week later they said they forgot to book a new delivery driver for me. Yes in the meantime I got a loaner vehicle from another location that was a piece of garbage and was sure it was going to break down on me. I informed them of the issues but they didn't care and said keep driving it. The next week (going into the 3rd week now) they said they noticed something wrong with the front bumper and were replacing it... another week goes by and more excuses. I had to threaten to call the RCMP and report the vehicle stolen seeing as I had signed the paperwork and it was insured in my name and they were refusing to deliver it. It ended up on the road immediately But delivered with scratches all over it. I sent pictures to the dealership and that went ignore. Got my OPI done and within seconds of my mechanic starting the inspection, he saw it had severe damage behind the new front bumper... clearly this is why it was taking so long to deliver and all the hoses and shutters behind the bumper were just zip tied and so I sent more pictures to them and they responded by saying to send them the quote to fix it. I sent them the quote and again that went ignored. I called my lawyer and he said non disclosure of damage or accidents is illegal so I passed that on to the dealership. He then tried to blame the body shop saying that the shop didn't tell them there was damage. Clearly the accident wasn't on CarFax because they didn't go through insurance so don't believe the CarFax report. I asked for a invoice for the new bumper and any 6 year old could've made that up on the computer. I googled the 'body shop' it doesn't exist.. I've barely had the vehicle 2 months and just found out after our dump of snow that my AWD is f***cked up. Yes I got the extended warranty.... DO NOT BUY THAT WARRANTY FROM THEM! Get your own somewhere else. As much as my mechanic would love to help me, he won't deal with that company. Good luck trying to get in touch with the actual owner of Mainland Motors. You can only find his name (Manny Jawanda) but no way to contact. He's probably just sitting back laughing at every fool that buys off of them. What a disgrace of a business, I'd be ashamed and embarrassed if my name was on it.

WARNING - DEALERSHIP DOES NOT OPERATE WITH INTEGRITY Over…read morethe last several days, I have been in contact via phone, email, and text with two sales representatives at Kabani Motors in Vancouver. They have a 2015 Honda Pilot with 9,825KMS and an asking price of $39,995. In my initial conversation with Eduardo Guillo where I made an offer that was not accepted; however, Eduardo informed me via email that the lowest price that the owners of Kabani would accept is $39,470. Over the last four days, we continued to discuss the Pilot and decided yesterday, Sunday, April 10th, 2022, that would engage with the dealership again to make an offer. This time around we dealt with Summit K. Biswas. Over a period of 3 hours, we communicated via text and phone. During this period, we discussed the value of their $299 administration fee and further negotiated on price. With each offer, Summit returned to the owners of the dealership to present my offer and continuously kept coming back in writing that they would not accept anything less than $39,000. We came to the decision that we would pay the price and provided Summit with my credit card over the phone, and it was charged with a $1000 non-refundable deposit I planned to fly to Vancouver to pick up the SUV. Approximately, a half-hour later I received a text message from Summit, stating that the boss there is no discount on that vehicle, yet last week they were prepared to take $500 off. Over the course of the negotiation process, Summit contacted the owners of the dealership more than three (3) times to discuss the price and then revoked our agreement and wanted me to pay full price. The reason given, is the owners didn't have good cell service and didn't hear the offer correctly, yet they were very familiar with the conversation I had the previous week with Eduardo and the offer. Whatever you decide to do with this dealership and its owners be VERY CAREFUL. They are not ethical and do NOT operate with integrity. I had to request multiple times to have them credit my VISA and ended up calling the bank to report it as fraud. Below are the screenshots of our text message conversation. I spoke with Gurlal and he was super nice and went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed. We noticed a few things that needed to be touched up with my vehicle and they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything fixed. They even offer coffee and water while waiting and have a very nice waiting area. I got into a car accident so I needed to transfer my old insurance to the new car and they made that process super fast and easy as well. We had a bit of a miscommunication about the dates I would be coming but they quickly fixed that and were very accommodating. I highly recommend going here as they made my experience a very enjoyable experience.

AVOID BASANT MOTORS AND SHOP ELSEWHERE…read more We purchased a 2018 Black Nissan Pathfinder (VIN 5N1DR2MMXJC667699) from Basant Motors, only to discover it had a blown engine. Do not buy this vehicle as it is still on the lot. Dealers have a legal responsibility to disclose major system failures (engine, transmission, A/C, electrical, etc.), but Basant failed to do so. The issues began immediately and weeks later we found out the vehicle required a completely new engine. Lack of transparency: Either Basant didn't inspect the vehicle properly or knowingly sold it with significant issues. There were yellow markings, on several of the engine parts, suggesting prior repairs. The sales rep told us this is what they do as part of the vehicle inspection. Yet no other vehicles had these markings. A third-party mechanic explained to us that this is an industry trick when they reassemble the engine to engine it is reassembled properly. Refusal to refund: When we requested a refund, Basant refused. After lengthy discussions, they offered to find us a replacement vehicle at a "significant discount" but repeatedly tried upselling us on luxury options well beyond our budget. Delay tactics: Over two months, they made excuses, had us come in to view vehicles that weren't on the lot, and delayed resolution. When they finally claimed the Pathfinder was repaired, they failed to provide details about the replacement engine's origin. This lack of transparency destroyed our confidence in their workmanship. We consulted a lawyer, but since Basant Motors had repaired the engine, we no longer had legal grounds to pursue a case. It felt like they deliberately delayed and made excuses to prevent us from purchasing a different vehicle until the repairs were completed. In the end, we chose to buy a a different vehicle from them because they refused to provide any details about the replacement engine in the Pathfinder or give us a refund. Things I learnt the hard way: 1. Always get a third-party mechanic inspection before purchasing. 2. Confirm details like the number of key fobs and perform a full walk-around inspection before finalizing the price. 3. Insist on viewing car comps and Carfax reports during negotiations. Insist that they turn their monitors so you can see what they are viewing. We purchased our own car fax histories and what we were being told did not align with our reports. 4. Avoid purchasing their extended warranty, particularly if it's through Assurant. Many independent and smaller mechanics won't accept work covered by extended warranties because these companies rarely pay out. In our case, none of the repair shops, including major dealerships in Maple Ridge, Langley, or the Tri-Cities, had even heard of Assurant. This effectively means the warranty is only usable at Basant Motors, and even then, Assurant often refuses to cover the work--leaving you to pay for repairs out of pocket. 5. Carfax reports only provide the total cost of repairs on a vehicle without detailing the specific work done, making it challenging to make an informed decision. 6. Basant increased vehicle prices right before showing them to us. Using cargurus.ca we were able check price histories, view their changes and easily view cost comparisons. 7. Vehicles on their lot often seem overpriced compared to similar listings. You'll notice price drops after 128 days, which may help with negotiation if you're still considering them. Bottom Line - Basant Motors' practices are misleading, and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Protect yourself by shopping at a franchise dealership that follows guidelines set by the Vehicle Sales Authority of BC. Trustworthy dealers value their customers and are transparent about vehicle history and repairs. Instead, consider visiting Sam next door at Applewood.
