When I walked into this BMO branch to open an account, it was under construction at the time, so you had to "leave" the bottom floor, and enter a side door to ascend the steps to the floor with all the account managers. Let's cut to the chase. My account manager was unbelievably helpful. She helped me open about four separate accounts, two for use in Canada and two with US funds (all for free with the account plan she suggested). But not only that, she also helped me get more 'bang for my buck' by transferring my international funds using a bank draft, via a third party company. And she really wasn't supposed to do this, which is why I'm not including her name here. I'm also not sure if she got a commission, but the better exchange rate helped me start off a bit more padded. After I opened the account, she called me almost on a weekly basis to ask how things were, and to make sure I contacted her if there was anything she could do. Again, wonderful customer service. The only little snafu was that my credit card took nearly a month to arrive. Not sure what happened there, but a tad inconvenient, to say the least. But since then, everything's been smooth sailing. Highly recommend BMO.
