I know we have to have an appointment to see a financial adviser before coming in. We booked an appointment but we can only get in two days later so we decided to walk-in instead as we desparately wanna see an adviser at this branch.
We came in, asked the receptionist a favour if we can be accommodated. After waiting for haft an hour, the receptionist came to us and said nobody can see us. We told her can try again and that we were willing to wait even one or more hours. She said there's
nothing else she could do and she turned us away.
We left so disappointed and you know that feeling that you are of no importance to them so I promised to myself, I would never come back to this branch again and also will remove my product from them and go to another bank. My friend who also came with us and soon will apply for mortgage was also disappointed and definitely will not come to this bank anymore.
We ended up going to my other banks CIBC and RBC walk-in on that day. Man, I saw and felt the big difference straightaway! An adviser, not a receptionist greeting you as you walk in and offering you their service, they were so accommodating, no appointments at all, always ready to help. That's
customer
service! It's nice when you come to bank and you feel so important. A bank should always do that. We never have walked- in to a bank before, only in this particulat occassion, just that day, when we desperately needed to see an adviser.
Later that day, I also got a return call
from a financial adviser from another Scotiabank branch in Surrey where I left a message asking if they could accommodate us on that day. He was so nice and I told him what happened to
us at this Scotiabank branch in Richmond. He said that's
weird and that they could've just accommodated you.
Oh well I told him the damage is done and that we're
moving to another bank. read more
