    Jjamjjamyun!
    J. C.

Finally a place that does jjamjjamyun (Half & Half of jjamppon and jjajangmyun) well! Super happy that I get to get my fix of both noodles in one dish. Bonus points that you get to choose the spice level so you can actually make it spicier than buldak spice level! I love that you can make the black bean noodle kinda spicy too because i normally get tired of just the black bean sauce flavor. We chose the level 1 for the jjamppong because it said it was like Shin ramen level of spice and the employee let us add some spice to the jjajangmyun as well which was nice Flavor of the spicy seafood broth and the black bean sauce were both pretty good. I liked the texture of the noodles as well. I think the spice level was a little off thought since I think shin ramen may be a little spicier. We could probably get level 2 next time. The tangsuyuk was decent. It was similar batter to Mr. Paik's 0410 noodle shop. I wished they had put more vegetables in the sauce though like carrots and cabbage. Overall, id definitely return at least for the jjamjjamyun!

This is the worst jampong and jajang place in Dallas. Would not be surprised if shut down soon with so many competitors near by.

Owners rude and abrasive. The server there's is nice and the food is decent. The owners attitude is just that bad.

So good!! The mild house sauce is delicious and not spicy enough to leave a tingle in your mouth,…read morebut full of flavor. The shrimp and snow crab legs were our favorites. The lobster tail was a bit tough and overcooked, which is a waste. Mussels were good too. Garlic noodles were not our favorite. Corn and potatoes are good, but they're a bit stingy about it only giving you one of each. When your seafood boil is $70+, you should get more than one of each. The flavors linger in your mouth for a bit. It lingered for almost 2 days for me, but would definitely return!

Went to Capt Loui for lunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was great…read more The crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

We asked what comes when you order hwae, and asked if it comes with side dishes. The lady said yes. So we go the next day, order the hwae. Asked about side dishes and the younger guy at the counter says it doesn't come with side dishes in a condescending way. And we had to ASK for the free fish soup that comes with it. Which was premade, and they don't give you the pieces that are leftover from the hwae you ordered. Avoid this place and the younger guy needs to really change his attitude. He had this "I don't care" attitude and talked to us in a condescending manner.

A lady from behind the counter finally noticed us and directed us to sit at a certain table. Menu is on the table so she came by to take out order. There's not very many pictures to reference the size. The chef's choice sashimi platter range from $39.99 to $119.99. I had to pull up Yelp photos and with the help of the server, we ordered the medium platter for $59.99. As we waited, we were given a plate containing edamame and what appears to be fried pieces of fish skin. It was unexpected and tasty. The sashimi platter was fresh and contained a nice variety of fish and other seafood. I was surprised to see octopus and clams. It was served on a bed of radish, which I love, with sliced jalapeños and garlic on the side. There's no question the seafood is fresh here. They have tanks in the front containing lobsters in the front. The tanks are clean and there's no funky odors. This place is very traditional. Service was adequate. They have a self serve station where you can get your own water from a water cooler and additional silverware, sauce cups, and napkins. Took my niece here for a birthday dinner of her choice. It's right by Paris Baguette and she's always been intrigued by it. She thought it was just ok. Overall, I think it's a nice place to get fresh seafood but it's not a place I see myself coming back to.

Incredibly high quality cuts of beef, slow simmered potatoes, chewy/fresh rice cakes, and fresh delicious vegetables and green onions. The brown gravy/sauce was delicious. The small plates of banchan were both intentional and flavorful. Very good pickling on them. Service was very friendly and the ambiance was peaceful. Even though it was busy, people ate in silence and enjoyed their food. They keep it ice box cold, so definitely bring a layer if you get chilly! It was under $90 for the Galbi Jjim, which is actually a smoking deal. I can't wait to go back.

We also ordered sollangtang and both spicy and non spicy cold noodles. Boy there is something for everyone on the menu. There is even combinations which we will have to try next time. A bit of a wait for the food but totally worth it. We love that the utensils are in a box on the table and pitcher of water and cups are brought to the table. The food is amazing. Just beware, the hot stone items (bibimbap, sollontang) stay piping hot for a LONG time :) be ready to have a big block of time to have a meal here.
