JJ bean was recommended by a friend for their muffins - I agree. We tried a few and love the berry and choc zucchini! West broadway location is conveniently located with a bright open vibe. Super clean and well laid out. Coffee was weak, probably a 2 out of 5 at best. The serving staff was great, cheery and efficient. A good amount of indoor seating and some outside. If you're ordering espresso do doubles or you'll be disappointed.

Nice coffee shop in Kitsilano with indoor and outdoor seating. I had a decaf latte with oat milk and it was delicious! I did not have any pastries but they did have vegan muffins....I do not think they were gf.

    Nice seating options.

Happy to discover that this place was nice and quiet inside so would definitely consider coming back here again. Food was awesome. I absolutely loved my Shakshuka. Might be the best Shakshuka I've ever had. Not that I'm any authority figure on what a Shakshuka should taste like. But I really enjoyed this one. The combination of flavors, the runny egg yolks, the gooeyness of the cheese...it was just such a wonderfully comforting and belly warming meal. I saw a Cinnamon Honey Latte on the board and decided to order that for my drink. These days, I can never tell when the word "Latte" is being used to describe a coffee beverage or whether it's being used to describe a beverage that has milk in it. A Matcha latte for example, tends to just be a sweetedned Matcha beverage with milk in it. No coffee thrown in. I was kinda hoping this Cinnamon Honey Latte would be milk with cinnamon and honey thrown in. It turned out to be a coffee beverage. No complaints about it. It's on me for assuming that it was milk with cinnamon and honey thrown in. I should have probably asked our server about the beverage before simply ordering it. Will make sure to do that if/when we end up here again. Kinda had my eye on the Turkish Apple Tea though so might just order that next time and the whole "Latte" dilemma wouldn't be an issue with that. My daughter's Avocado Toast looked super yummy as well. Might try ordering that next time, although Michelangelo's Mediterranean Spread was also kinda calling out to me!

Ordered a mimosa, flat white with oat milk, Turkish coffee and shakshouka to share. Pros: - delicious food and drinks which came out quickly - attentive service with a brief and delightful explanation of Turkish coffee and the Turkish delight it came with (BTW, a must try if you've never had the chance to) - very cute decor with portrait art all over the walls Notes: - we walked from the apartment, but the inside streets in that English Bay Area has some free residential parking if you're okay with a bit of a hunt - there are dining tables and seating available outside, but not heated - signs posted at the tables to be mindful of the limited seating and to try to limit stay to an hour

The barista was very friendly and eager to talk about the menu. She checked to make sure my drink was sweet enough when she gave it to me and asked how everything was as I was leaving. Asparagus & asiago quiche: The quiche itself was okay - I liked the flavour but it kind of had the reheated texture - but they put some fresh arugula and black pepper on top which was very nice. Mocha cookie: Top tier cookie. Nice coffee flavour, not too sweet, perfectly crispy but not crunchy. Lychee latte: Just steamed milk and lychee flavour, no espresso. I asked for half sweet, and there was just enough lychee flavour to get the essence of lychee without making it a very sweet drink. Although I didn't try the coffee, this does seem like a good place for coffee nerds. They have different varieties of brewed coffee you can try in store and beans for sale.

My family and I had a walk at Lonsdale Quay on the August long weekend. We don't usually come here,…read moreso we decided to have a coffee at C41 in the Lonsdale Quay Market. It's a very hot weather, so we ordered an iced dirty matcha. The owner who was also the barista asked if we knew what the dirty matcha was. We said yes. It was coffee + matcha powder from Japan. Once he prepared all the ingredients, he asked us to look at the coffee matcha in a cup. He poured it into a cup of cold milk. We grabbed the beverage and tried it right away. It was GREAT!! It tasted fruity coffee matcha flavour. He worried some people would taste the bitterness, so he asked if we would like to add syrup or sugar. We did not need to add any sweetness to ruin the original delicious flavour. The original flavour was the best. I would recommend people to buy coffee from this coffee shop. The owner paid attention to details and made good coffee. This was not my first time to have coffee here. I had latte and one more coffee beverage here in the past. They were all good. LOL again I would not choose Tim Hortons or Starbucks coffee IF I have a choice.
