One of several coffee shops along this stretch of Main. I remember this used to be a Been Around The World in a previous incarnation. Parking is available on the side streets. The place is modern but has that vintage (hipster?) feel. Lots of wood, and an old classic feel. Staff are friendly. The coffees here are pretty decent. I also tried some of their pastries. The apple coffee cake was honestly rather mediocre. Tasted like a supermarket muffin. Their cheese & garlic twist is quite tasty, though I suspect it's more just because of whatever garlic butter they were using. It was hot and fresh after reheating, which is nice. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point, though there are plenty of other choices in the area. read more

I love a good flat white and Foglifter didn't disappoint! The daily focaccia is delicious, especially when warmed up. It is a good sized cafe that has indoor and outdoor seating. I spent some time doing work at this cafe, as it has wifi and outlets. However, it looks like they are trying to transition to a no laptop or tablet space. Just a heads up, I heard they don't have wifi during the weekends. read more

Came here on a whim as I was in the neighbourhood! Was craving hot chocolate on this cold rainy November day. First off, this cafe has a lot of seating area! I was impressed. It wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon. Lighting for reading my book was good. There were a lot of people sitting with laptops for work/school. The hot chocolate was so delicious! There was so much depth - I tasted some deeper mocha and roasted flavours that took it up a notch. I'm glad this hot chocolate just didn't taste like hot milk with chocolate, as I've been disappointed at other cafes before. Will be coming back! read more

Nice coffee shop on Main St and 20th Avenue. A while back, this used to be the old Bean Around The World ( prior to COVID ). Now with a new building, this shop came about. They have inside and outside seating, they do try to limit people to one hour at the tables. Also on weekends, they turn off wifi ( 10am - 6pm ) so that people don't sit here all day. I guess it's good that I came on a Friday as wifi is on. LOL I could use my own data if need be. One thing I would of liked was for some sun shades on the south side windows. That way, you can draw them down a little so the sun doesn't blind you while you sit. They have a variety of food items, the latte was good as it wasn't bitter like at some other places. There is paid street parking on Main Street, some 2hr parking in the residential streets ( a block or so away ). While here, it was super busy at 11am. It does get loud as there isn't much soundproof paneling on the ceiling. Overall, a good place for coffee and chat with a couple of friends. read more

I was really impressed by my first visit here! Lots of seating available inside and a few tables outside. Nice atmosphere/aesthetic and lots of seating, but some of the seating is a little tight. The staff was friendly. All of their baked goods looked fantastic! All of the food is housemade, including the bakes. There are good options for vegans here: a sandwich and a wrap and a few baked goods (muffin and cookie, maybe there were others but I didn't get as good of a look). I noticed that they had "gluten-friendly" muffins, but they were in the same case as non-gf baked goods, touching, so not very helpful if you have a serious issue with gluten like celiac. Drink menu also had some fun seasonal stuff in addition to the standards. I got the vegan chickpea smash wrap, a fleur de sel brownie, and a crimson iced tea. The chickpea wrap was sort of like a vegan breakfast wrap, but kind of also just doing its own thing. It had memorable flavours, different from other vegan wraps at coffee shops. I especially loved their vegan ricotta in the wrap! The brownie was as good as it looked - very dense and fudgy. The salt was added tastefully and enhanced the chocolate. I was indifferent on the iced tea, but that's just because I don't like hibiscus very much (I was expecting "crimson iced tea" to mean rooibos, but it was actually hibiscus), so I'll have to try something else to be able to make a fair judgement on their drinks. The total for food was about $21 which I think is fair. The quality was pretty high across the board. The wrap was a modest size but it was enough for a light meal. read more

Google reviews have highly rated this coffee shop, so I would like to try it too. It did NOT disappoint me at all! I ordered a 12oz latte and raspberry white chocolate scone for takeout. There was lineup around 12noon but the wait was not bad at all. The coffee shop was full of people. Some were waiting in line and some were dining in despite of Omicron. I had a first sip of the latte. Whooaaa so smooth and smelt very good. The temperature of the latte was about right. Sometimes some of the latte I order from other coffee shop were very hot that it could burn my tongue. Honestly, my top pick to have the best latte in Greatee Vancouver would still be Prototype Coffee, but this Foglifter Coffee Roasters is good enough and it is comparable with Matchstick and Elysian Coffee. This coffee shop is passionate about making good coffee. They have some unique pastries and sweets. I only tried raspberry white chocolate scone. Oh man it was really good even though it was cold already. I could imagine it would be freaking good if I ate one right out of the oven!! I would recommend others to try their coffee and pastries if you are in the neighbourhood. Parking is not an issue. I often pass by this cafe so I've stopped in a couple of times. The first time I went in, I ordered a scone and wanted it heated but was told that's not possible as they don't have an oven. Not sure if they've changed that since. I've been a couple more times since and the main reason I go is convenience. The drinks and food/pastries are decent but the main theme is that both are overpriced for what they are. I also find the service can be rather slow. That said, there's lots of seating both inside and outside and it's always been fairly clean. It's usually quite busy in the mornings. The main reason I would go back is because the location is convenient but this wouldn't be my first choice. Some paid parking is available nearby. read more

I tried their fudge cake for the first, it was calling out to me and I decided to give it a chance over my regular favourite carrot cake. The fudge cake was delicious, but very crumbly. Serving smooth and creamy, yet bold and strong espresso, Foglifter easily became my favorite coffee shop in the Main Street area. With a light fruity and nutty blend, Foglifter has a very unique espresso taste that goes well with every milk option offered. 10/10 I would see definitely recommend any of their espresso drinks! They also offer a wide variety of pastries, wraps and sandwiches to pair with your morning cup of joe or afternoon pick-me-up. I paired my coffee with their spinach and feta muffin and it was such a great combo. Super moist, light and filled with spinach, this savory muffin felt like I was eating a cloud! Coffee was great, had an Americano made from Ethiopian beans. Also had a cheddar jalapeño scone which was also pretty good and the spice paired nice with the coffee. Came at a busy time on Saturday so long line and service wasn't amazing - understandably though since it was so busy. We got a cappuccino to go from Foglifter and do have to give props to their branded cups. The interior is clean and welcoming and a great place to meet up with friends. I felt that the cappuccino was a bit too bitter for me but R was a huge fan of it so ended up settling in four stars. I may have to get my usual latte next time to compare as I usually like to have a bit more milk in my drinks. Overall, another great coffee addition to the Main St area. read more

The Hubs and I are on the prowl for a new coffee roaster joint, and this place popped up within our vicinity. We came by on a sunny BC day and there were a steady amount of people coming and going, with some patrons studying or working while others are there for a cafe conversation. This place have a row of 10 couple seaters along the windows - perfect for studying or working. Wifi and plus are available. The patio on the side street have about 5 bistro style tables. Decor is minimally vintage-modern. Menu-wise, they serve all the usual: espresso coffees, baked goods, and sandwiches. They also sell their own roasted beans, other teas and some shirts and hats. As usual, the Hubs and I ordered a cappuccino as a benchmark - one size only and $3.90 (I think it is an 8 oz). The cappuccino is definitely stronger brew, less creamy and milk content, and fruiter than a lot of coffee places we have been. Not bad at all. Overall: We rated this place 4.5*, but bumped it up to 5 as we can't do half stars yet. Overall, love the shop with good coffee. Will be back. read more

Oh so much to love about this coffee shop. Very nice decor and delicious pastries BUT their tea service is deplorable. When they first opened, they offered loose leaf tea in a bodum. Lovely. However, now they've taken the extremely annoying approach of brewing the tea themselves and offering it in a clunky mug. You don't brew tea like you brew coffee!! I think if your business offers tea you need to know how to prepare and serve it. Well, they have loose leaf tea right, but they need to put boiling water,IN A TEAPOT, offer a separate jug for milk, plus a tea strainer and a cup and saucer. Let the customer brew to their liking. Simple. Yes, there are guidelines that tea should steep for 3 minutes, but it's really down to personal preference. Please don't serve tea like you would drip coffee! Fortunately, most other cafes on Main Street get it right (Coco et Olive, Cafe Artigiano, Trafiq, Liberty etc etc ) so I will take my business elsewhere. Too bad, as with the correct tea service I'd be a frequent customer. read more

Nice to see the coffee shop on this corner has re-opened in the new building on site, and with a great name. It lacks the ambience of the old place, though. While the coffee was fine and the service was good, there was A LOT wrong from a COVID perspective. There was nothing posted on the door to indicate the need to wear masks; there was no vaccination check; the seats are too close together; no hand sanitizer (unless I missed it, but is should be in an obvious place upon entrering). Further, there is nothing on their website or blog to indicate the need for social distancing, asking people to stay away if ill, etc. Case in point - I was there with my 10 y.o. son today to check it out. The was a Karen there (brunette, gray jacket sitting across from the heavy blonde with the funky classes) on the p.m. of Sun Oct 24 who was clearly ill - coughing into her hand(WTF?!), and turning her head to the side to cough into the open! Where has she been the last 20 mos.? My young son got out of there ASAP, given that the door was closed, and there was no obvious extra ventilation. I may try the place again, but not until we are out of this pandemic. I suggest anyone with underlying health issues avoid the place for the time being. read more

No fresh fruit or leafy greens, no liquor license, a limited menu and this place shuts down at 6. So much potential.. Why not try opening stay open later? This stretch of Main has no java after 7. I'd love to see outdoor benches, fun strings of lights outdoors and a switch in wall decor and art. Why not support local artists? While the staff are hip and friendly, the owner is NOT!
