We've tried this chain before at the Topanga Social but since we were out this way for something else, we decided to grab a quick lunch! This location is much like "Ventura Blvd" if you know what I mean. PARKING. Street parking is awful but that's just how it is nowadays. There looks to be a parking structure nearby but unsure of costs. We found a spot along Riverside and just walked, quickly since it is only an hour max lol. We got there and first thing you notice is the beautiful patio seating! And actually, the only available seating. They don't offer indoor seating but the weather was perfect so it worked out. Beautiful setting and service is quick (they probably understand the parking situation lol!) We got some gyoza which their gyoza sauce only comes in SPICY which is odd. The Jinya bun is always a good little bite and I also got a 3pc of their Salmon Aburi Oshi Sushi which was just okay. Flavor was good but the rice itself was hard, not a good crispy/seared hard, just....hard? It was weird, idk. Still edible! We were here for the main item though which is new on their menu. Garlic Fried Rice! We added pork to it and they cook and mix the egg at the table for you. Super delicious and love that they give a generous amount of garlic cloves. I have never had Ramen before. Yes -I am in LA native ,and I know that seems crazy. This is a chain restaurant .The Studio City is purely walk-ins and takes no reservations. I don't go anywhere on a Friday night without a reservation. The one in Toluca Lake takes reservations. Cameron answered the phone. He was delightful and helpful, made it very simple to book a reservation. We finally arrived, parking was rough on a Friday night there due to the Bob's Big Boy car show that is every Friday so don't go on a Friday! Bottom line, the spicy chicken Ramen, and the chicken Ramen were very good. The outdoor patio has a nice ambience, and once again the same host who answered the phone, Cameron and all of the waiters had great customer service and were very delightful. Been coming here for years. Used to love the place. Last time I went, though, I noticed they have started to use A.I. artwork in their marketing and on their menu. It's blatantly disrespectful and CHEAP! And coincidentally, the day we discovered the A.I. artwork, the food was SO bad. It was WATERED DOWN NASTY trash. The broth always has amazing flavor, and the spice level is consistently on point, which I really appreciate. Great ramen spot in Burbank! I have been to a few Jinya locations before and was excited that this one was near by! Met a friend for lunch and had to find street parking. Luckily it wasn't too busy yet around 12:30 on a Sunday. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. We sat outside and it was nice. Food came out quickly - I got the Tonkatsu Ramen and got extra noodles for my daughter. Didn't know they had kids meals that came with fries, rice, karage chicken, ramen and ice cream! My friend got that for his son and was nice enough to share. He also got the Shio ramen, gotta try that next time! read more

Went for a friends birthday this past Sunday and the wait to receive our ramen order was pretty long. This location is beautiful and definitely popular since a lot of people after we were seated, but I was surprised at how slow service was. The food was okay. I ended up getting the Spicy Tonkatsu which was a little disappointing to be honest. My favorites were actually the fried chicken (karage) and the brussel sprouts tempura. Chicken was good and the tempura was surprisingly delicious. I just couldn't give this place the 4 or 5 stars because 1. the service and 2. it's a ramen place so I would expect the ramen to be phenomenal, not their appetizers. There's street parking. It was tough to find a spot but was able to manager to get one after driving around 3 times. Tried going to the back, across the street, the street Jinya was on, and a block away. Just keep that in mind when you go there since there is not a ton of ample parking. Recommend carpooling if possible. I hope they do get more helpers or somehow improve their wait times. As local Burbank residents, we have frequented and consistently enjoyed this restaurant for years, always experiencing good food and service. However, our lunch visit a couple of weeks ago was markedly different. I ordered a sushi platter, and my brother ordered a bento box. While my sushi was as expected, my brother noted that his bento box was missing some side items like edamame, which we recall used to be standard. When he politely inquired about it, the waitress's response was disappointing. She defensively argued that edamame was "never included," despite our years of patronage. Given that we had never seen her before, she is likely a new employee. A simple, "the menu may have changed recently" would have been a professional reply. Instead, she seemed annoyed that we even asked. Following this brief exchange, she never returned to check if we needed anything. Worse, she made a point of asking all the surrounding customers if they needed assistance while pointedly ignoring our table. This conscious disregard was highly unprofessional and ruined our meal. This location does not have indoor seating. There are heat lamps and there's a fire pit in the middle of the 'bar' seats. The day that O went was a little chilly and I wasn't prepared to sit outside, but a little sake helped! I always start with the spicy tuna crispy rice. It's delicious, but my only complaint is that one order comes with 3 pieces, which makes sharing with 2 people kind of annoying on who gets the last piece or awkwardly trying to split it in half. They have gluten free noodle options- rice noodles or kelp noodles. I've tried both and enjoyed them as alternatives. I love how all the toppings come on the side and you get to put them in. Some of them are big portions- ex. corn (i'll probably just order one and share). You can also get additional noodles if you need more (extra charge) but I love that option! I originally tried Jinya Ramen for the first time in a different location and remember it tasting better than this time around. We ordered the premium red and the black garlic oil ramen. My broth was supposed to be a tonkotsu broth but I couldn't take the richness of the pork in the broth. The broth just tasted diluted broth with garlic oil. I've noodled around other JINYA Ramen locations, (and I'm happy to report that the Burbank spot is just as consistently delicious as the others). But what really sets this one apart is the ambiance: all outdoor seating with a cozy, roaring fireplace in the center. I don't usually go out of my way to order vegan dishes at restaurants, especially when it comes to ramen, but JINYA's Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen is the best. The broth is as savory as any non-vegan option, and the big, thick noodles are so delicious. I also appreciate that you can request the spicy chili oil on the side--ideal for spice-shy folks like me. The vegan ramen is also great to take home for leftovers because it doesn't have that extra fat that can separate in the broth when refrigerated. That said, it was so good that there were actually no leftovers for me to take home, haha. But there's always something satisfying about seeing the "no ramen, no life" at the bottom of a JINYA bowl, like earning a badge of honor. My husband ordered the Tonkotsu Black, and I couldn't resist stealing spoonfuls of the pork broth as well--which I felt was just as good as mine. We also indulged in a few appetizers, which we devoured. Our go-to, crispy rice with spicy tuna, was yummy and the JINYA bun was great to split and get our appetite going as well. Both are small but perfect for wanting just a little something to get the meal going. Other dishes that we ordered were great also including Jinya bun, Salmon Aburi, and the eel. Our waitress was very kind, polite and attentive. Came in on a Friday night and this place was packed as expected. We was shown to our table by a very kind spoken matte di named Cameron ( pronounced exactly how it's spelled ; p. What was not expected was how fast we were seated as well as served. Now, most restaurants tend to sacrifice speedy service for quality, Jiyna in Burbank I am proud to say is not one of them = ]. We had the black Bushi ramen with an extra egg added. Good deep umami flavor in the broth, egg cooked a perfect soft boiled. We was recommended to the kale noodles by the waitress and wanted to give her a dap when we bit into them. My girl and I are not health conscious by any means but just knowing how healthy and delicious the whole bowl was felt like we achieved something that night. Whatever it was, no one knows. We also had the crispy rice with spicy tuna, gyoza, JINYA Bunz, and crspy creamy shrimp tempura. They all smack! But man them Bunz are no joke!
